I went here based on a personal recommendation. I do not recommend. I have natural and thick hair. They pulled my hair out due to the method she was doing to detangle my hair. Her yanking at my hair. I had to take myself from under the dryer due to how long I had been under with no one checking my hair and my hair is bone dry. They know they damage my hair because I heard them say it. I have excessive heat damage as a result. I would like to add I just got a regular trim almost 6 weeks ago so there is no way my hair should be like this. This just isn’t the place if you have natural hair and care about your hair curling back up. There was a stylist who was particularly sweet.

Terrible!!! I go there tonight and usually have a good experience. Its late and i have my small Child with me so i want to get in and out. I tell Them today no roller set so they wash and im sitting waiting to get my hair dried. About 30 mins go by 2 ppl are finished with other clients. I ask how long do i have to wait. She asked me do i remember who was before me im like why does it matter they are ALL under the dryer why do i have to wait. I put my childs coat on cause no this is crazy. Some blonde head lady with glasses tells me i dont have to pay which i was not going to cause you didn’t complete the service. This woman says i have to wait my turn for blow dry. So i have to wait for about 2 other women to finish drying get their hair blown out then i can go. THAT IS STUPID and the owner is just as dumb for that policy. That makes absolutely no sense. If im here just sitting why not just blow my hair and get it out the way. Never again you will get better service at Dominican Evolution they use common sense

I have been coming to this shop for years and I also understand that the inflation is up and people going to charge extra I get that but normally it's $40 for blowout $10 for trimming well today they wanted to charge extra because my hair is thick in my whole entire life I never heard of No One charging somebody because there hair is thick that is the purpose of me coming to your shop is for it to get blown out as I have Been doing for several years so they tell me what they charged me today when I go to make my payment with my debit card the amount that she quote to me verbally was not what she charged me when I made my payment with my debit card I will never go back there again BECAUSE I WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA BECAUSE I HAVE THICK HAIR it got my wondering what will a person with thin hair be charged that just threw me off don't get my wrong the service was great

Nice shop to go to. I went to get my hair straightened out for a friend's graduation. I walked in and they took me right back to wash my hair. The shop was full and smoky and smells like burnt hair. Everyone was nice. They charged me 55.00 to straiten my curly mess and 10.00 to wah it. I did need some trimming. I would definitely come back to this shop.

I had a wonderful experience today at this salon. First, I want to say they are actually open on Sunday and no appointment is needed. I called first to make sure and they answered the phone right away. When arrived there were a little busy, but I did not have to wait long. I had recently taken out my braids, so my hair was as is, but she made sure it was clean. That was the most amazing shampoo. They then started the process of the condition, roller set, and blow dry. The lady did ask me what I wanted prior to, and I told her just a straight blow dry, but then decided to get a cut. I have been wanting to get a cut, but some times I am afraid to ask because you never know if someone is going to mess it up. When I told her what I wanted, she had another stylist do the cut and she did a great job. I had been here a long time ago and just stop going because there was a location that closer after I moved, but I decided to go back because I had a bad experience there. I read some of the other reviews and I can assure you they do not use harmful chemicals and I am natural; they are very pleasant, and they are open on SUNDAY. Thanks again for a great experience. I will be back again.

Coming from New York the first thing I looked for was a Dominican hair salon, this place is IT. They did an amazing job, I will be coming to only them from now on. the only thing missing was the very loud merengue, bachata and salsa music jajaja 💗

Everyone was very nice and welcoming! Did a wonderful job and the stylist made sure she understood exactly what my daughter wants and how she wanted it! I can say I am very pleased with B&Y and I will continue to be a customer as well as my daughter.

Great prices, the ladies are so friendly. This beauty shop is for every hair type and texture. The scalp cleaning during your shampoo is heaven. A must try.

I went in today for the first time. My daughter and I got a wash/roller set/blow and flat iron. Julie did my hair, this Salon went above and beyond my expectations. This salon runs like a well oiled machine! Everyone was welcoming and extremely kind. The prices were excellent. If you’re familiar with Dominican Salons (N.Y.-Harlem) this one reminds me of home. The squeak after the wash, OMG!!! Thank you ladies, see you soon!

I’ve been going here since I relocated to Greensboro . I’m from NJ and I miss my Dominican hair salon I used to go get my doobies at. So B&Y is my go to for a doobie from them. I will say I’m happy they give us an option to comb out our own hair and I feel that it is ok because at one point the beauticians were not combing our hair they way we do it ,from tip to root . I’m glad that they recognize our hair texture is different . This is my best salon. I get compliments . A coworker asked be the name of the salon of where I went and I told her. My doobie is still lasting after a week with proper care. I like the atmosphere ,reminds me of home .

My hair was done professionally. I loved the energy, but I want to apologize to the owner and her employees!! I was supposed to be comparing their service to what I had experienced somewhere else, and I'm not good at computers and posted it on the wrong website , which was hers and again I want to apologize !!!
