BOOK BOOK BOOK! I don’t think there is someone I would vouch for more to do your hair she takes her time the styles LASTTTTT and she is such a beautiful and kind person. When you’re spending hours with someone I’d like to be able to enjoy your company and with Mia you def can. Mia is AMAZING at what she does! This was my first time getting a protective style, and she made the entire process so easy and enjoyable. She was incredibly helpful and informative, explaining the maintenance in detail, which was super reassuring for it being my first time getting my hair braided. Her studio is warm and welcoming—I felt completely comfortable the whole time I was there. I can’t recommend her enough! If you’re considering booking with her, do it—you won’t regret it!

Puerto Rican curly hair girly here. I DO NOT allow just anyone to do my hair because they are usually clueless with my hair type. Mia and I had a conversation About my concerns and deciding to have her bless my crown was the best decision I made. I went with Boho braids for my first appointment and I was not disappointed!! Braids were LAYED!! They stood in for 3 months looking FRESH. They could have staying in longer but hair health u know 😜. Hair was healthy and had grown a few inches, with minimal breakage (just the natural fall out). I can't wait to start my curly hair journey with her as well!!! I have been looking for a curly hair specialist for years and the Universe sent Mia Maya!! She might be a young business but this young Woman is talented and every moment she can is constantly educating herself about her craft! So proud to be Styled By Mia Maya!!! There’s so much to say about how amazing and skilled Mia is in her profession. Every appointment I go to, 7 hour appointments feel like 2 hours because of how much fun we have just sitting talking for hours. She makes me feel comfortable every time I come in because of her positive and friendly demeanor. I was hesitant at first about booking my first appointment because I’ve been to many hairstylists who have not lived up to my expectations because of how sensitive and tender my head is, but Mia has made my experience a thousand times better. Went in for boho knotless and the price was so good! It’s very hard to find affordable braiders in SATX and the hair is included. She started right at my appointment time and was very good with communication. Booking was very easy and she made the whole appointment comfortable with talking, watching movies, and provided snacks.
