Went there few times be cause the woman name Joanna was working with Eminence and osmosis brands but unfortunately it's overpriced and I saw no results after all may be people with dry skin can see results. Overpriced for 0 results, save your money! P.S. of of course you would say that be cause you don't want people writing you negative reviews.

I got the amazing opportunity to take a Facial Yoga course with Joanna. She really took the time to demonstrate and explain the movements and answer any questions I or the other students had. This was a virtual class, that was truly enjoyable and easy to take event if I was not at home. The movements that she demonstrated helped me to relieve neck and jaw pain, along with some jaw line contouring. If you have an opportunity to take a class with her, you won't regret it.

I have had many facials with Joanna and each time I leave feeling extremely satisfied. I like that Joanna explains the step by step process and the benefits of the products she is using. My face always looks glowing for days after. I recently had the buccal and gua sha massage and I was very happy with the results. This massage is good for the jaw and facial muscles. My face looks and feel firmer and thigher. I would definetly do it again! Thank You Joanna!

My experience at calm beauty with Joanna was the best and exactly what I needed. I had a specific request to focus on the Guasha technique and she was able to answer all my questions about it let alone give me the treatment I was looking for. I truly saw a major difference in my skin two-three days later. The collagen in my face simply felt plumper and my skin felt baby smooth. Now its up to me to keep it up in btwn and go back to visit her ASAP!

Well, my boyfriend just called to inquire about a facial treatment and was explicitly told “I don’t work with men” and then the woman hung up. I have to say, in the world we live in today, men and women, etc. should not be turned away because of their gender identity. Shame on this woman. Gender discrimination is NEVER okay. On top of all of that she claims to be LGBTQ+ friendly. Not very friendly if you ask me.

Joana is very skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to the face and body. She helped me understand so much about myself in so little time. I left her office feeling better than I have about myself in probably, ever. She makes you feel calm and gives the greatest advice. She's also super gentle to the touch. I honestly can't wait to go back. I went in with very dull-lifeless skin and left so radient that I've been smiling all day. She did that. Her work speaks for itself. And it was well worth the price in my opinion. What Joana did for me in just an hour in a half of me being there... Really changed my entire outlook on life. I feel like a million bucks!! I have been going to Calm Beauty Brooklyn for about a year and have tried different services - Revitalize facial, brow correction, Oxygen Dome, and Buccal Massage with Facial Sculpting, just to name a few. My complexion has improved drastically and I am absolutely happy with the way my skin feels and looks. The facials are always magical, while the Buccal Massage has significantly decreased tension in my jaws and overall helped me relax my facial muscles. Joanna is a professional who truly cares. She radiates calm and kindness, and the studio itself is a wonderful oasis of serenity and happiness. I highly recommend trying it out!

I've been going to Joanna for the past couple of years and she is absolutely amazing! Ive has several different treatments there. I always come out with lushious hydrated glowy skin. I recently got the Rose Gold Facial so amazing. Joanna puts flakes of 24k gold then massages it in with Rosehip oil. It smells so good and feels so good. I was glowing, like a natural highlighter. I've been wanting to try the jelly mask and finally got a chance. It covers your entire face then solidifies and peels off. It's very cooling and mositurizing. Felt like my skin was absorbing all the goodness. Definitely ask for this!

It Was just by accident that i found Joanna, the owner of Calm-Massage. I was waiting for my appointment with my chiropractor when i overheard her talking with the physical thereapist in their offices. They were talking about Calm-Massage and stated that Joanna does holistic treatments such as lympathic drainage. She was highly recommended! On my first visit, Joanna greeted me at the door with her calm demeanor (I can see why the Spa is called Calm) When I entered the lovely brownstone, Joanna likes her clients to remove their shoes. She will then give you a pair of clean sandals where she will escort you down to the lovely Spa which is emaculate. Before your treatment she offers you either a cup of her special green tea or cucumber water. I am being treated for Rosacea right now. Joanna uses an LED. THis light (Light emittingt diode) seems to heal the capillaries that appear just under the skin in some people, mostly of Northern European decent. Joanna's other specialties are facials, massage and foot reflexology all of which I have had already. I am sure you won't be disappointed as I am a person that is very particular and couldn't find any faults at her Spa. Lynne.

My sister gave me a skincare gift certificate for my birthday and now I won't go anywhere else. I'm giving 5 stars, if I could give more I would not hesitate. My skin had few age spots, wrinkles and drying out terribly. Being raised in Southern California the sun played a serious number on my face. Still being fairly young panic mode had not set in yet, but it is becoming a concern. Joanna the owner with her personal touch and professionalism reversed my problem only after a few visits. She addressed the condition, individualized my treatment, evaluated my diet, and tailored a holistic skincare regimen just for me. This has been a fantastic experience to find someone who truly cares. I now will feel wonderful inside and out for my wedding in May. I'm so pleased that I have just given my matron of honor and future mother-in-law gift certificates for Calms Spring Renewal facial.

She is truly amazing! At first, Joanna will speak to you for about 10 minutes to get a better understanding of what your looking for and then the session of heaven begins. Joanna really does whats best for your face and body and sometimes, she will email you some recommendations she has for you. I highly recommend Calm Massage, I believe you will love it and leave feeling clean, calm and satisfied.

Today was my first time getting a facial .. ever lols I'm only 18, and from all the great reviews that I read about (calm: massage and skin care for women) I thought I'd give it a try. As soon as I walked into the place, ms joanna was right there to welcome me in .I loved it , it was calm , clean and very relaxing and ms joanna was very professional . Joanna gives the best facial. I've had facials throughout NYC, and have never had this level of thoroughness and service. She evaluated everything I put on my skin, in my body, plus a complete medical history to get to the root of my stubborn acne. Then she devised a corrective facial that was different than others I've had, and included an amazing neck and shoulder massage that made my skin glow and body stand taller. You can tell Joanna really likes her work and her customers. Absolutely excellent!

The reviews live up to the experience. I was in serious need of a massage and was panicked to find someone. After searching online and reading the reviews, I wanted to get in with Johanna. She was quick to get back to me and able to fit me her schedule. I have been to many spas over the last 10 years and this is by far the best. When Johanna greeted me at the door and upon walking in, I felt a sense of calm come over me. The space was Ah-mazing!!! A large room with candles and aromatherapy. I sat on a comfortable couch and drank cucumber water while we discussed what areas to work on and a bit about my history. Johanna is very friendly and easy to talk to. The massage table was padded and cushion - a little slice of heaven. The massage was the ideal combination between Deep Tissue and Swedish. She was able to work on my knots with hot stones and perfect pressure. I had some issues in my neck and Johanna had some wonderful techniques to work them out. Thank you! Thank you Johanna!
