I am a regular at Candle Day Spa. They are always so warm and welcoming upon entry and are readily available for service. They are very accommodating for groups as well. The atmosphere is relaxing, kid-friendly and clean. Kayla is the ABSOLUTE best. She is prompt, efficient and does the best nails. She always keeps me on trend!!! I was there today for a day of pampering from my husband for my birthday. Mia did an amazing job on my nails and pedicure and then Jennin spoiled me with a 90 minute massage., she was able to get my back relaxed in spots I didn’t even know were tight. Highly recommend!!!

Went in wanting a French on both my toes and nails. After my toes were done I was done. None of the line are even on my toes some are thicker than others the didn’t even ask how thick I wanted it

I paid for a Brazilian wax but by definition that’s not what I received. The technician was very nice but not thorough at all. This is the first time in 5 years since I’ve been going to this spa that my service wasn’t to standard. Perhaps some of them need additional training or shouldn’t provide this particular service.

Terrible experience! They used a bad product, just finishing the gel powder treatment you could see it. Amy, the woman attending me, just added an extra layer of product. 2 nails weee broken 4 days after, when I came back they charged me $5 per nail to be fixed! I’ll never go back and don’t recommend it!

Extremely unprofessional. The lady who was doing my toes was clearly fighting with the other workers there and they were all yelling at each other. So because of this, she took her anger out on my legs and feet. Literally everyone was looking around awkwardly because of the situation. I get the classic pedicure and she didn't even start my toes until 20 mins after my appointment. But had them soaking in the water so it was obviously cold by the time she started. And then the fight broke out. I would never come back here. Classic pedicure was $43. Don't waste your time and money.

Judy is awesome! My nails can last up to 5 weeks! Powder dip. I'm a server, and she makes them strong without them looking too thick. If you're hard on your nails, I recommend going to Judy!

I tried to give this place chance after chance through out the years. I think Paulina and Lisa is very professional. But I’ve came to the conclusion that the owners are just racist. Plenty of times I made appointments WITH MALE OWNER, got to the salon and was told I never called or I need to come back. I’ve been talked to rudely plenty of times as well. I’ve acknowledged they do not treat you fairly if you are black… I give up on this shop and thought I finally share my terrible experience with them.

Not a good experience. They're expensive and do not do a great job with manicure nor pedicure. The technician did not do a good job of scrubbing my feet, nor did she pay attention to the cuticles. She seemed to be in a hurry with both pedi and mani. I do a better job for myself at home. At the end she put out her hand for a tip and when I gave her $5 she kept her hand out for me to give her more. Awful experience. I will never go back. Zero stars if I could have rated it that way. BTW by the time I got home, the clear manicure that I had was already peeling off at the corner of my nails!

By far best experience! I get my nails done here every time I come to Maryland to visit family and friends and let me just start of by saying that my nails are terrible but they do an amazing job everytime! Definitely recommend for your nails and toe care.

Did a pedicure last time and last week i decided to remove the old polish and then i found that my big toe had fungus!!. I was so sad because I take good care of my toes and getting an infection or a fungus is a nightmare. Now I'm treating my toes and it may take months to clear it out. So frustrated 😠 😡

First and last time customer. I walked in for a regular pedicure an hour and a half before closing, knowing that it was plenty of time for the service I was asking for. Less than five minutes into my pedicure the person who was closing the register for the night asked me to pay for the service prior to the service being completed. There was a language barrier and it was very hard to understand why he wanted me to pay before my service was done. The person who gave me my pedicure explained that he wanted to leave early and needed to close the register an hour and a half before closing 8:00pm and that's why he wanted me to pay for my service beforehand. This was extremely unprofessional and for a $48 pedicure not acceptable. $45 standard pedicure and to "remove" the gel polish which was just filing it with an electric nail drill cost $5 additional. With out tip would not recommend if you are looking for a half decent pedicure and ANY customer service.

I am so so happy and impressed with the quality work done here! Candle Day Spa is the only salon in Frederick that I have walked out of 100% happy Every.Single.Time. I’ve tried many places and have lived here my whole life (34 years) and will never go anywhere else. Especially if my girl Kayla is working! That girl knows her stuff!! Even when she isn’t in, everyone else that I have seen has been top notch!

The worse!!!! I had a gel manicure done today and this was the worst manicure I’ve ever had. I still have dead skin around my nail and he barely put polish on my nail. I could have done a better job on my own. I won’t be going back there. Very sloppy work. See pictures below. The nail technician was rude which my experience even worse. They need to be reported to the BBB for false advertisement.

Went there for a pedicure, first thing is I'm a licensed nail technician, the pedicure I received was so unsanitary, they reuse disposable non disinfectant files on people , which can easily spread bacteria and fungus, secondly no cuticle work was done, And my gel polish started chipping within two days, gel polish typically lasts 3 + weeks on toes, not two days ! Awful! So gross and nasty! And overcharged!
