Andrea completely transformed my hair. I’ve had highlights over many years and my hair had become very dry and lifeless. After just one specialized treatment, a new set of highlights and color, and an amazing blowout, my hair was shiny and bouncy again!

Andrea is the most amazing person and stylist. I came to her with a disaster for my hair. She was super kind, patient, talked me through the process of how we can get my desired color, and was transparent through every step. She worked her magic and gave me what I wanted without comprising my curly hair. No one will ever touch my hair again. Andrea is a magician and really knows what she’s doing!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I’ve been a client of Char’s for 7 years now, and have followed her from NY to the A. I will address Char’s craft and skillset before speaking on the warm ambiance of the Canvas space itself. Char truly cares about “our” hair. I say our because she will tell you that once she starts to do your hair it now belongs to both you and her to ensure that it is up kept and healthily maintained 100% of the time. Char deeply cares about the health of your hair and if she doesn’t feel that a service is beneficial to the overall health of your hair she will educate you on why she is denying a particular service at that time. She has provided me with precision cuts and fun colors, but when it’s time to slow down on the fun and hyper focus on maintaining healthy follicles she does that too! If you have a chance to sit in here chair to get the Char experience consider yourself lucky! Lastly, the Canvas space is warm and welcoming, and the staff is extremely polite whether or not you are being serviced by them. Services are timely, so your stylist is not servicing you and other people at the same time, it’s simply YOU time! 10/10 would recommend!

How often do you go to a hair salon, bring your photos, and get exactly what you asked for? No? Never? Me neither until I turned my head over to Char Dryce at Canvas Salon. She is truly a professional colorist and color correctionist. I have half a gray head and needed a root retouch. The necessary color correction was that my Ombre color was upside down, with the lightest part of my color being at the roots instead of at the ends. Anyhow what I wanted was dimensional color throughout, a warm chocolate base, medium brown lowlights and golden blonde highlights and that's exactly what I got, gorgeous dimensional color, and the best haircut I've ever gotten in my life styled with amazing movement. I will go back again and again and bring my mom to have her hair colored and cut too.

I had the most amazing experience at Canvas Hair Salon! After a previously failed coloring attempt at home, I was nervous about trying something new, but Ms. Andrea exceeded all my expectations. She created the most beautiful red ombré for me, exactly what I wanted and more. Her ability to mix and create unique color formulas is truly unmatched. What made this experience even more special was Ms. Andrea’s willingness to take me on Thanksgiving without charging extra—a testament to her dedication and incredible customer service. If you’re looking for a stylist who listens, cares, and delivers stunning results, Ms. Andrea at Canvas Hair Salon is the one to see. I can’t recommend her enough!

Andrea is wonder! I’ve been here several times for a treatment and a silk press. I have textured long mammoth hair and she does a great job every single time. The treatments are a game changer and my hair has never looked better. The salon is exceptionally clean and has stunning decor. Highly recommend trying out this salon if you haven’t. You won’t regret the decision!

I have been going to Andrea Mitchell for years now for haircuts and coloring, and she always does an incredible job! She is one of the most meticulous and focused people I have ever met, and the results of her work ethic and skill are obvious in the results! I love that even though she has been a colorist for decades that she doesn’t stop going to classes to learn new techniques. Andrea is also one of my favorite people to talk to so it is always very relaxing to sit in her chair while she works on my hair! And my hair!!! My hair is always so soft and silky whenever I leave an appointment with her, even after coloring. My hair felt just as soft and silky if not more so when I left after my appointment yesterday than it did walking in! I have no idea how it is possible, but her hair treatments seem to completely protect my hair from damage caused by the bleach. In terms of Canvas as a salon in general, the owner (Kelley) and other stylists that I have met (Char and Jairo) are incredibly friendly and fun! There is a great camaraderie between all of them and it feels like it has such a healthy and supportive work environment that I haven’t seen at a hair salon before. Normally the stylists barely interact with each other and if they do, they don’t seem like good friends. The fact that they are all obviously friends at Canvas is definitely beneficial, because Andrea and I were able to get the input of the owner (Kelley) on the warmth of the shade we were thinking of and it helped us in making our decision and Andrea in deciding on the final color formula. It is probably very clear already but I highly recommend Andrea and Canvas salon in general, I don’t think you can go wrong any of their stylists!

I have gone to Canvas salon to get my hair colored by Jairo a few times. Jairo always does an amazing job, he is truly a hair color guru. And the salon itself is gorgeous. very clean, minimalist, modern, with an open feel. love the energy when I visit. thank you all! :) thank you jairo!

Andrea did a cut and blow out on my hair, and I thoroughly enjoyed my service! She empowered me to better care for my hair at home by educating me, but she also made me feel comfortable by providing a luxury service & engaging experience while I was in her chair. I definitely will be back!

Andrea did an amazing job on my corrective color service. From the consultation to the finished service. Very knowledgeable and talk me through the entire process. Then to top it off she followed up a few days later to make sure I continued my at home treatment on my color. And provide step by step directions. Never have I had that type of follow up after a salon visit. Andrea is amazing!

I️ have been going to Andrea for the last few years and she has always been incredible. I️ was really blown away with everything from the service to the aesthetics, other stylists and environment at Canvas. The space is really nice and uncrowned, even when multiple stylists are working. Easy parking as well.

Top-tier! On a whim, I called the salon on a Sunday evening because I desperately needed a colorist to fix my hair. I was greeted by Andrea who listened to all my complaints about what another salon did to my hair. She listened and showed soooo much compassion, which was something that I was not expecting. Entering the salon for the first time, I was blown away by how beautiful it was. It felt like a spa in Tulum. I was greeted with coffee and Andrea immediately went in working her magic to correct the bad color job I came in with. We laughed the entire appointment and she educated me on how to preserve my color’s vibrancy while at home. Before I knew it we were done, and I was honestly scared to look. I was amazed by how she was able to fix my hair!!!! It was beautiful! I probably said I’m about to cry like three times! Lol Thank you soooooo much Andrea for saving the day 🧡.
