I had an amazing hair transformation experience at Capella Salon! Miriam (IG @miriamthehairapist) is a master colorist who truly makes magic happen! I appreciate her in-depth consultation, attention to detail, expertise, and empathy for those who have experienced hair trauma. I was hesitant to lighten my hair, but my curls feel super soft, hydrated, and very loved. My bright, customized color is better than I ever imagined! Thank you Miriam for working over 9 hours straight to make my birthday extra special. Also, shout out to Celeste (IG @cecesanctuary) for her help because I needed a LOT of foils! Capella Salon is a beautiful and relaxing environment. I love the attention to design details... especially the massage chair at the shampoo bowl. :)

Received a certified Curl Doctor experience! All of the team was great from cut (Shai) to finish (Bre & Presley). I've had bad curly cut experiences before so this was reassuring. Everyone talks you through the process and products. Super informative!

Amazing! Highly recommend. I have come here twice already and I love how my hair looks and feels. Everyone is so nice and helpful. It goes beyond a haircut, they teach you how to bring out your best hair. You will see and feel the difference. Love it and recommend to anyone with curly hair.

Got curl by curl cut on dry hair and highlights a few months ago. The cut turned out to be uneven. my friends told me when I was confidently wearing my hair down on vacation 2 weeks after the cut. The girl who did the cut was very attentive and friendly, but my curls were all over the place. The highlights turned out really disappointing too. I had chunks of colored hair and nothing was blended. The most expensive ($600) and the worse hair results I have ever experienced to be honest. I had really high hopes for this place looking at the reviews and customer photos, but it didn’t work for me unfortunately.

I cannot say enough about Capella Salon and its owners. My happy place! Very professional, a visually beautiful space, spotless and clean and the owners are always kind and accommodating. Nicole, one of the owners, does my hair and her work is impeccable! I get so many compliments! I would highly recommend this salon.

I have been going to Capella salon for several years. I am always impressed with their excellent all around service. The salon is beautiful, the receptionists are friendly and helpful and I am always happy with the way my hair looks when it’s done. I would highly recommend Capella salon if you’re looking for a professional stylist or esthetician!!

My daughter is above the moon with her hair! I waited for her to enter High School, before I allowed hair color. It has been a struggle trying to find a specialist. I have fallen short about taking care of her hair, until I researched and found Shai @ Capella Salon. A bit pricy, but what do you expect for perfection and my girl is worth it! Thank you Shai for capturing my girl's vision. Her hair is already growing. You should know that everywhere we go, people are captured by her hair and ask where she got her hair done! God Bless you! i’ve been going to capella salon for years and i always have a good experience. i always get exactly what i asked for and the stylists are always friendly and helpful. the assistants are always gentle while washing my hair and so are the stylists when cutting my hair. my hair has always been important to me so i make sure to go to someone i trust who i know will do a good job and for me that’s always capella salon. i can always count on them to do a good job. i always feel comfortable while im there and i recommend to anyone who’s looking for a salon who always does a good job.

I’m just so disappointed. I’ve been going to Capella salon for years. This past time I went my stylist wasn’t available last minute, but I was about to go on an international trip for a month. They paired me with another stylist, and I was ready to go! I went in told her that I wanted really natural blended highlights, and a cut (but especially in the back). I couldn’t tell at the time, but neither of those things were executed well…. But to top it all off she charged 61% more than my usual stylist!! It ended up being around $800?!?! I’m sorry that’s just insane. If I loved it, maybe, but for a botched job? So I call, the salon admits fault, but then they only offer to give me $120. I tell them that’s not right, and the least they could do was split the difference between my usual stylist and her. They say they’ll call back, and they never did. I’m so upset, I’ve been in tears over it, and it ruined a portion of my trip. They handled this so poorly and lost a loyal customer.

Revised # Capella Salon Reached out and gave me back the $75 deposit. They also apologized for the situation with my hair color. I appreciate the apology, and I can say I got my full refund. My hair color still has to be redone. I will look elsewhere for that.

Go to Harmoni (IG @curlygirlsjournal) for curls, and especially tighter textures! If you went to a salon with damaged curls from heat styling, many stylists would immediately say you need a big chop—even if you’d rather cut little by little. Harmoni is the type of stylist who listens to your wants and needs, and she’s patient and caring enough to see how curly your hair might be after a detox and hydration. Sometimes there’s more length that can be salvaged than expected, and Harmoni is the type of stylist who will find out before she cuts. She’s also extremely knowledgeable, and takes the time to educate you so you can successfully care for your curls at home.

Been going to Capella Salon since 2005. I was 18 years old and I’ve never had a bad experience. Shai is known as the curl doctor, but I know him as hair god! He is always thinking about the integrity of the hair instead just collecting money from customers. Always very realistic with his advice when I want to do something that isn’t so good for my hair (i.e black to blonde lol). Highly recommend Capella to anyone that’s been disappointed in the past.

Excellent service with ethnic hair! I’ve been flying from Mexico for years to receive curly haircuts & curly styling from Shai and his team. I could not recommend Capella Salon, Shai, and his team enough! If you have ethnic hair and you want excellent service, wonderful haircuts, an education on how to care for your curls, and the right products for your unique curls, I highly recommend you become a client of Capella salon! The health of my curls has significantly improved since I became a client. I’m so, so grateful that Capella Salon exists as I was completely lost on how to care for my curls before becoming a client of Capella Salon. Hands down I always have the best experience with Ms. Janaye.She’s such a rare hairstylist, not only does she do an amazing job she also really creates an entire experience and drops so much knowledge on how I can continue to foster healthy hair! I absolutely love this salon! I've been getting my haircut/colored at Capella for a little over 5 years now, and each experience has been wonderful. Sascha is my go to stylist. She exceeds my expectations every time. Sascha is incredibly knowledgeable about hair as well. Sascha will take the time to go over color/cut ideas to find your most ideal look. I'm beyond grateful for this salon, and Sascha :)

I have been coming to this salon for years, always to get my hair done by Sascha Andres. Won't have anyone else do my hair, she is simply the best. Sascha is warm and friendly, and truly skilled at what she does. Her speciality may be curly hair, but she also expertly cuts and styles my very thin hair, which had been challenging for previous hairdressers. I always leave Capella with a great cut and a good mood, so thanks Sascha!

Jazmin is amazing! Her patience is greatly appreciated. I’m allergic to several ingredients in shampoo. She carefully looked through every ingredient with me. I never understood hair color or texture. Never realized I had actual curls. I could cry. Completely in love with the color of my hair, and health.

Nicole, one of the owners of Capella, has been doing my hair for years now. I just came from my most recent appointment and am so pleased with the results I wanted to share! My cut and color look amazing. The salon is spotlessly clean and has a calm peaceful vibe. I've been in other salons where it feels frenetic and chaotic and gossipy and Capella is the opposite. From the front desk staff to the assistants and other stylists, everyone is friendly, professional, and focused on giving you a great experience. Highly recommend!

Shai is the GOAT for curly hair cut and styling! I have been coming here for a few years and love the attention Shai puts into each curly strand on your head. He never approaches a cut like a butcher shop like other stylists do and I never feel rushed. The attention to detail is like no other...It's truly remarkable how he transforms your hair...along with great conversation, I may add! Not to be missed are his assistants, but my fave is Harmony, with her sunny disposition and friendliness while styling your hair. She teaches you proper technique, product, and can also carry a lovely conversation with you. It is apparent she loves her job. I love supporting minority businesses and so happy to be a client. Went to see Shai other day for a cut. I made the drive from Orange County as I was ready to go to the best of the best. I’ve been wearing my naturally curly hair straight for most of my adult life. Due to breakage from heat damage, I decided it was time to embrace my true essence. Great spacious salon, clean, wonderful staff and products. Most of all, knowledgeable hairdressers that are able to teach you how to nurture and care for your hair type. Thank you Shai and staff. I highly recommend.

updating since the owners response was distasteful. this is my opinion and my experience so nothing about it is inaccurate. they will tell you all their stylist are trained to style diverse textures which is not true because if it was i wouldn’t have walked out looking worse than when i came in. i don’t care if you’ve been open since 1903—you had a stylist that wasn’t equipped to style every hair texture. didn’t reach out because my initial interaction with nicole wasn’t welcoming to begin with came in a while ago and took the risk of taking an appt with a random stylist since the owner was booked out. i just want to note that not all stylist can style ethnic hair even though they will try and sell you otherwise. don’t let them fool you into thinking so. it was embarrassing walking out of there. i immediately put my hair into a bun. my best advice is to find someone that actually has ethnic hair to style it. they’ve had to master it their entire lives. if you have a finer grade of hair this place should be fine.

My experience at the Capella Salon with the stylist Valerie was absolutely amazing. I noticed she was the right person to see after seeing all the different people she's helped on her IG @valcutcolor. I've had curly hair my whole life, but I never truly knew how to care for it. She evaluated my hair and explained to me where most of the damage is and how I can take better care of it moving forward. I'm not the kind of girl that likes to spend much time doing my hair or styling it and I felt she really listened to me and allowed me to collaborate on a routine that is realistic for my lifestyle. The new and improved hairstyle she gave me has literally changed my life. I'm cute but I've never received as much attention as I do now because of my hair!!! I feel so much more confident in myself and the care and styling routine is so easy for me. For the first time ever, I am actually looking forward to returning to the hair salon.
