Exceptional hair color service in this establishment, this is by far the best salon experience I have ever had. And I have had a lot over the years. I scheduled for a color correction service and consult for a caramel and blonde balayage. After having an awful experience, my hair turned a dark reddish orange on top and a chocolate orange on the bottom. And I thought it was completely hopeless. The assistant Olivia was phenomenal and she took detailed notes and relayed my requests the same day to my hair color stylist. After only one session with Ms. Dye, Not only did she achieve all of my "ideal" goals, (which way I thought wes quite impossible), she also restored my hair back to health and she listened,... I mean she really listened. Everything I mentioned about the blending with the balayage and the colors and the style. She was also very upbeat & positive and a real rock star and an encyclopedia on all things related to hair, hair types, color techniques and hair products. I took her a recommendations and I could tell that she really cares about her work and about her clients. She even remembered to tint my eyebrows to match the new hair color! This level of attention to detail , care and conscientiousness in one's work is just so rare to come across and she is a phenomenal hair stylist. She's truly the real deal, and she really knows her stuff. Thank you so much for your caring and conscientious work and then you for listening and especially thank you so much for saving my hair, Dye! You guys have definitely have earned a loyal and faithful customer now. I just cannot recommend Dye and Capelli quite enough here!

Cassandra started off doing my daughter’s hair for a color correction and sold me right away. She’s been the only one in Texas to get me to a true California blonde and I highly suggest her!

I just had my haircut by Cassandra and she did such an amazing job! She was so attentive and taught me so much about my own hair. I will definitely be back to see her because she gave so much life to my hair!!

This place is phenomenal with skilled stylists & a great atmosphere! Posted a earlier review with different hair color scheme & wanted to post the recent session. Asked Madison to take over Artistic control & what you see is just amazing! Her skills have only advanced these past 5 years & with the guidance from the Owner Dye; she will surely blossom into something even more special!

Cassandra and the entire crew at Capelli Salon were amazing, kind, thoughtful, explaining the entire process along the way. Adjusted to my disability to make my experience wonderful. Adding another update. Everything Dye did below washed out within a few weeks. I am going to a new stylist now with a lot more experience and she was absolutely appalled at what Capelli did to my hair. It will be years before I can get my hair quality back to what it was before I came here. Just don’t do it!! Stay away from this place. Fox & Fawn or Blue Door Salon are way more experienced. —————// Adding an update since the owner contacted me. Dye is mentioned in several comments below. She called me and scheduled a re-do for my hair. We both agreed that the best solution was to have her dye it back to its original color. She admitted the first job was awful and that she was sad she couldn’t add back to my bangs that were clearly cut too short and not done correctly. Overall, I still won’t go back here but I think ownership does care about doing the right thing. I did not get any refund for the original amount paid even though I basically left after the re-do with the same color hair I entered the salon the first time with. ~~~~ Worst haircut of my life here!! Do not buy their Groupon and expect an experienced stylist. They actually up-charged me for toner (which didn’t even take after I washed my hair) and hair gloss which made my total $200 anyways. Rude stylist and horrible cut. I’m now begging my hair to grow back out so I can have it fixed. I wish I had gone elsewhere!

Honestly had no idea my hair could look this good with so little daily effort on my part. Madison has a real talent in working with my natural hair pattern, texture, and curls. It also keeps looking great for many weeks as it grows. I will keep going back.

I left the salon feeling more amazing than I ever have and not only with how great my hair is but how incredible the service was. I called the salon the same day In tears because of how bad my hair loss was, I was losing a ton of hair on my forehead and pretty much had a huge empty spot on the side of my head. They listened and understood as I was explaining and went straight into figuring out how they can help. The cute front desk girl- Danielle (I think that’s her name) went and talked to Dye to see what she could do and they didn’t even hesitate to get me in to fix it. Not only did Dye the hairstylist get me in extremely last minute, but she did an amazing job on my really complicated hair situation. She ended up doing 3 rows of extensions, and she listened to my price point and listened to what I wanted to do, and also did check ins with me to make sure I liked it. I’ve never had a better experience with a hair salon/ hair stylist. Extremely welcoming and such a calm and friendly environment. I left the salon feeling more confident than I ever have, and it’s been a while. I didn’t think anyone would be able to fix how thin and frail my hair was but she did it better than I ever expected. I would recommend them 100000% over and over and over. Amazing work, amazing people, definitely never leaving this salon. Love love love!💖💖

She is always offering suggestions and has an excellent ‘eye’ for recommending a style to compliment your look. I always look forward to seeing Madison and having her ‘work her magic’. I asked for a dye job and it was done beautifully staff is extremely welcoming and every time I go I know im going to leave loving my hair, I recommend getting color done here. They really know what they are doing Specifically if you want color I recommend asking for (dye viles)

Capelli Salon is the best salon in Austin area. Dye has been able to transform my hair. Her color expertise and extensions has given me the hair of my dreams. She truly is an artist and will create a look that meets your individual style. My whole family goes to this salon. Madison does a fabulous job on my husbands hair. This salon has my whole family looking their best! Update: The salon and Dye are still wonderful. I wanted to add that my experience with my extensions has been excellent! Dye is always quick to respond when I have a question and I have never been happier with my hair. I get compliments everyday on my hair! Love this salon!

Cassandra is an absolute doll and miracle worker! She really brought my hair back to life. I haven't always been good at taking care of my hair and tend to use too much heat. To make matters worse, I can't even describe how I even want my hair done. Using what little context clues to her disposal, she was able to bring my hair back to life. Hair now looks young, healthy and free of dead ends. I can't rave enough about her expertise. I will definitely be back and tell everyone I know about her.

My wife and daughter both trust Dye with their color. It’s a fun environment, and Dye’s work is a ten. Whatever products she uses are outstanding, and she clearly understands her craft. It’s difficult enough getting a million dollar look, it’s another entirely being confident enough to work with them and understand what is “possible” “not possible” and also be able to work with transitional color styles over a year long period.

I can’t say enough about my incredible experience with my hair stylist, Dye. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel comfortable and listened attentively to what I wanted. Her extension work exceeded my expectations – the color, and cut were exactly what I had envisioned. Dyes attention to detail and friendly demeanor make her a true gem. I’ve found my go-to stylist, and I couldn’t be happier! Not only did Dye work with my personal schedule and work on her days off to make sure my hair was exactly what I wanted and was holding together well, my hair actually got healthier from the extensions! I was looking for a new stylist in Austin and found Lauren by chance! She is amazing! My color touch up was exactly what I wanted (only better than I imagined) and the layered cut was perfection! Not only is Lauren a great stylist but she was fun to talk to! 10/10 Highly recommend🙌⭐️

I went in for a hair and beard trim. Hannah gave me as good of a beard trim as I've ever gotten at a barbershop, if not better. Really great attention to detail. I'll definitely be back.

Nice stylists, but definitely not the place to go for extensions. Mine started falling out within a couple days - and were completely out within a week. A complete waste of $350. I was even charged to take out the old ones. I won’t be returning.

This place is so nice and clean. I love how chic it is. The stylist were all very friendly and welcoming. I went in for a color change, Daniela and Dye totally exceeded my expectations. They were able to turn my box red into an amazing color with an amazing curl that lasted!!

Dye is the BEST! I have wanted this level of color for 13 years. I have very difficult hair to work with. I had to interview 4 stylists to get here. I highly recommend Capelli. It takes some time, she makes it right and she's able to achieve correct saturation and the colors are so rich. Pictures are untouched and soak for themselves. Thanks, Dye!

All the staff here are awesome! Met the owner Dye & she's an awesome leader! Great environment, good area & overall great vibes!! Madison has been my stylist for the past 4 years & has always gone above & beyond! Took her whole shift & went after hours to accomplish my hair color due to transportation issues. She will give you feedback on what works & what doesn't. Her knowledge is top notch & enthusiasm for perfection is more than appreciated! It's always difficult to find a good stylist that won't nickel & dime you which don't have to worry about here! Look at the pics judge for yourself! Cheers

Go see Lauren Prothro for your cut and color. She is amazing!!! She takes her time, gets to know what you want, has great recommendations, is so very patient, and really wants to make sure you leave 100% happy. I got my hair cut, deep conditioned, and colored by her. Highly recommended!!

Madison is an absolute doll! Knowledgable, easy to converse with, mindful of your time, and takes pride in her work. She makes sure you’re comfortable and involved in every step of the process. I’ve had the same stylist for 8 years before I moved to Austin. Naturally, I was nervous about trying someone new to do my highlights, but after a single session with Madison, I have my new go-to stylist in Austin! I left the salon feeling thankful & thrilled with the outcome of the cut/color/correction I received today. I’d also like to note that the manager and the rest of the staff at the salon were all so friendly and welcoming. <3 Thanks again for the exceptional service!
