Got my step daughters hair braided & I am happy with the services Ms Veronica provided. Her hair was very short in the front from cutting it herself & she was still able to braid in extensions for her. She was patient with her moving and squirming. The process took about 5.5 hours but the end result was worth it.

Run. That’s all I have to say. I’m convinced she’s not even an actual braider, just a scam artist. She will half do your hair. It will come out the next day, if not the same day. She will cancel on you. She will be late. She will do your hair in the dark with no proper lighting to see what she’s even doing. She will stop doing your hair mid way and tell you she has an errand to run. She will not finish your hair & tell you to come back another time. Just run girl lol.

The owner is a very nice person and does great work. However, the service is unreliable. Oftentimes, she is late or does not show for appointments.

Very nice spot came highly recommended! I'm very satisfied with the service I paid for and the end result. My hair dresser was kind and courteous to me also her price was very fair for what I needed to have done. I will certainly be a long time patron to her shop and also reccomend giving it a try.

I usually don’t do this, but I don’t want someone to go through what I just had to experience. ⚠️Warning long post!⚠️ I made an appointment to get box braids at Caribbean Swag on Raleigh St in Martinsburg WV, right behind A1 Computers to get my hair done by Veronica Williams. She scheduled me for Sat at 7:45am for $160. I get there and there’s another girl there too for the exact same appointment time. So Veronica arrives late, and states she didn’t know the other girl was “still” coming to the appointment. 🤥 But I definitely don’t believe that because she called me on Thursday to verify that I was still coming and then again Saturday morning at 7am, so I’m assuming she did the same for her too. So I said, I’ll come back and Veronica said I’ll call you when I finish her hair. She finally calls me at 3:18pm, and by then I already had plans. So she said I can try to do your hair tomorrow to make up for your time today. But by that time I was convinced that I wasn’t going to her because of how unprofessional she was already. So I made arrangements for someone else to do my hair, and I texted her a few hrs later and told her never mind with doing my hair. She then calls me, and states she’s sorry for wasting my time and wants to give me a discount and compensate me by doing my hair on Sunday to try to make things right since this was my first experience with her. I told her don’t worry about it, but she insisted. 🙄 So I asked how much? And she stated she was going to work with me. So I agreed to go after I got out of church. So I get there and she starts on my hair, and I had asked for box braids and she was putting in “box Senegalese twists” instead!!!??? I should’ve stopped right there when I took notice 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I thought, it won’t be that bad...WRONG! So I mentioned it to her and she said that usually when people say box braids, they mean Senegalese twists. 🤔 So she then states she has to leave and she will finish my hair later that evening or Monday. And puts my hair up in a bun to conceal the portion that was left out. Then she asks for $150! 😳 I said I was planning on paying $100 and you said you were going to work with me. And she was saying that’s not fair, I’ll drop it down to $130. For wasting my time and putting in the wrong hairstyle and not finishing my hair and you said you were going to work with me even though I already made arrangements to get my hair done by someone else and i didn’t even keep the hair in? I think that’s pretty good, that’s more than 50% of what she charges. So I get home, really don’t like it, and I take it out! And some of the hair was already untwisting... Very disappointed because I wasted my Saturday and my Sunday and my hair still isn’t done. And now she won’t even answer my phone calls! Sent me a text saying she can’t do a full head of hair for only $100. So warning y’all, don’t go there, unless you don’t mind it being unprofessional! (And no I did not give her $100, but I did pay something, because she did most of my hair but at this point I should have never given her a dime and I want my money I paid back!!!!!) 😡

I went to get my locks palm rolled but gave in to her suggestion to get interlocks. I knew it was an upsell but since I was going to get the interlocked a month or two later I decided why not? First off, she is a very nice woman and even gave me a ride when it was snowing heavily outside but what has become of my locks afterward are not favorable. My locks at the base are really thin (mind you, I have VERY thick locs) and I haven’t changed anything in my hair care regimen. Trust me, I take excellent care of my hair, and my primary loctician has even commented several times “whoever you let interlock your hair damaged it.” I appreciate Veronica for the kind gesture in taking me where I needed to in such a bad storm, this review is not a knock on who she is as a person but I will never go back to her shop again. Now my locks are so thin in some areas I’m afraid if someone or something pulls on the locks that they’ll break off. That’s how thin they are now.

Not recommended! First of all, she was late. I left after waiting 30 minutes, and then she called me and said she’d just gotten there. So...I begrudgingly went back, which was a mistake! Her water was off. She said she’d gotten a notice that it would be turned off. (Still, she let it get turned off.) Smh Constant yakking with her mother, fussing with the water department rep on the phone, talking with a client on the phone, etc. I went for an interlock retightening. I don’t know what she did, but my hair has not been the same! It just isn’t growing right. After the retightening, she styled my locs. It had this big bump underneath. I told her I didn’t like the bump and she tried to loosen it and rig it up. After several unsuccessful attempts, I told her to forget it. (I literally sat in a shopping center parking lot and took down the style an hour later.) Ok, so interlock retightening, done. Now it’s time to pay. She had previously told me that I could pay by credit/debit card. I pull out my card, and she says her card machine wasn’t working. I had to follow her to the Sheetz gas station to withdraw money to pay her. A 7:30 am appointment, she didn’t start until 8:30 am, and I was walking out of her shop at almost noon. (She told me it should take an hour to hour and a half.) I am an excellent tipper, however, she didn’t get one and I didn’t feel bad about it. Horrible quality! Unprofessional! Try her at your own risk!

Contacted her months in advance to see the pricing for faux locs. When I finally made the first appointment she canceled for family reasons which I was fine with. The second appointment lasted a little under twelve hours. During this time she was texting and calling people trying to plan a party while doing my hair. She ended up not finishing my hair that night since she had the party to attend but she asked to meet early the next morning to finish my hair before I had to work. She ended up cancelling and rescheduling for later that day. She eventually ended up cancelling this appointment (she actually just stopped all communications with me and I had to reschedule since it was almost 11:30pm and I had to get some sleep before I left town the next day) as well since she was “out of town” even though we both agreed on this time. Finally on the third day she finished my hair. Overall it was a bad experience. I’ve only had my hair done a week and I’ve already had to fix two locs. I paid way too much money to have been ignored and put second. I’ll never suggest her shop or her services.
