I give it a star because you can't put zero on it they ruined my Christmas my end of the year horrible experience I asked for a layered cut and they cut it straight without my knowledge I asked for a cherry red dye and they left me a horrible red it gave me a headache because of the chemicals I paid an exaggeration of money I am so disappointed they gave me a price of 350 and in the end they changed it

I drove over an hour and a half to visit this Aveda salon at Crabtree Valley Mall, expecting a high-quality experience akin to the exceptional services I've received at other Aveda locations, such as Zandi K Salon in Golden, Colorado, and Pure Salon in Columbus, Georgia. Regrettably, my experience here was not only subpar but also profoundly disappointing, leaving me with a sense of being underserved and disrespected. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ashlyn, who immediately sat at the front of the salon, visibly preoccupied with her phone and openly discussing how she was revamping her mother's Instagram. This lack of professionalism set the tone for what would follow. I was then seated for my service with Shane, who proceeded to call Ashlyn’s mother—another stylist at a different Aveda location—to discuss the toner and gloss for my blonde hair. This was not only unnecessary but also an indication of disorganization that made me question the expertise of the team. The environment in the salon was equally troubling. Three individuals, who appeared to be Shane's children, were lounging near the washing stations, engaged with their phones, and clearly not part of the salon’s professional staff. This presence was not only distracting but contributed to an atmosphere that felt more like a personal hangout than a place of business, especially in such a high-traffic area. As for the service itself, it was nothing short of disheartening. Shane was excessively rough with my hair, tugging at it aggressively with a wide-tooth comb, and was even more unprofessional when she scrubbed my scalp with a brush rather than providing the soothing scalp massage that is a hallmark of the Aveda experience. This approach was painful and completely contrary to the gentle care I’ve come to expect from the brand. To compound matters, I was asked to pay for the service, including a tip, before I had even seen the final results. I felt highly uncomfortable being asked to pay upfront, especially without knowing how my hair would turn out. Despite this, I reluctantly left a $25 tip. The discomfort didn’t end there: during the blow-dry, Shane somehow got my hair caught in the dryer, pulling it painfully without any acknowledgment or apology. As I sat there, watching this unfold in the mirror, I felt increasingly humiliated and ignored. By this point, I was so uncomfortable and dissatisfied that I told Shane I didn’t need my hair completely blow-dried, and I left the salon in a rush, with my hair unfinished and my frustration palpable. The experience was not only unprofessional but downright disheartening. I deserved far better. I sought the comfort, relaxation, and quality service that Aveda has long been known for, but instead, I was met with negligence, discomfort, and a lack of basic courtesy. This experience at Aveda’s Crabtree Valley Mall location was a stark contrast to the top-tier services I’ve enjoyed at other Aveda salons, and frankly, it was an insult to the trust I placed in the brand. I left feeling not only dissatisfied but disrespected, with no intention of returning. This experience was, without a doubt, one of the worst salon visits I’ve ever had.

I had an on the spur of the moment time with tranice. She was a good listener for what i wanted. we had a great time & I left with no gray hair and a cute cut.

Just had the best experience with C&C, Crabtree. My daughter had highlights and was unhappy once she left the salon due to different lighting outside the salon and was not at all what she was expecting. I called on her behalf ( yes, she’s 25, but we’ve both been clients for years and she was nervous to complain). Immediately her stylist arranged ( in her busy schedule) to make it the way it was envisioned. The manager also stepped in to assure all would work out. This is why I believe in Carmen and Carmen Salon and their professional work ethic. I know it was a kick in the gut to receive a complaint about a job that was carefully designed, but how it was handled and the end result was better than any client could ask for! THANK YOU, Girls!! You ARE THE BEST * I DONT Want to butcher the spelling of names but Erin and Brianna❤️

Julian was amazing with my haircut, wash and blow dry. He took his time to make sure I was fully satisfied with the end result. He was friendly and made sure to really understand what I was looking for before starting my cut. It was my first time at the salon and would definitely recommend!! 5 out of 5 stars!!! The picture of the final product says it all!! 👌🏼☺️

First of all the previous ratings reviews are way under rated. I thought for my first appointment was amazing service. I set up an appointment for all over color with Stylist Monica she did an amazing job and was very professional and down to earth she was able to achieve the blonde all over color i wanted my hair was previously dark blackish brown and the results were amazing. i loved the results so much and the roots and everything came out lighter like i wanted with the hair treatments. I would recommend this salon to anyone it's a must try the service was outstanding! will keep making my appointments there. Many other salons were not able to achieve my color of blonde or wouldn't even service me but this place is definite must try!

Shira went above and beyond on my hair! It was my very first time adding color to my hair, and Shira met all of my expectations. She took her time on my hair, and made sure that I walked out the salon with a huge smile on my face. Definitely recommend Shira for any hair services.

Terrible experience and unprofessional staff. I went in the evening, the staff was gossiping the entire time I was there and my hairdresser was very rude. I expressed I was unhappy with my hair and she became very defensive and aggressive. She didn’t speak to me at all after that and it was very uncomfortable. A few days later I called the salon so upset about my hair and they couldn’t get me in until the next week to fix it. The salon educator had to be present to direct my stylist on how to correct it. The educator ended up leaving half way through and my stylists went back to being defensive and uncomfortable. When I left she stated “I hope you can find a stylist who will put up with you”. My hair was still messed up and further damaged after my “correction”. I lucky found a salon in Brier creek who was able to fix it in one session. I will never go back to Carmen Carmen and regret ever spending my time and money there.

Hair cut not what I asked for. Needed a change at back for more volume! Ended up with more snipping here and there! With my hair being fine and straight it ended up looking limp with hardly any volume. I asked for a blunt cut! Will never go back, for sure!

I can't say enough about Fran on here. I went in wanting to go platinum from layers and layers of dark red box dye. I anticipated several sessions and to have strawberry blonde or light ginger after the first session. Nope. She got me to blonde first go. I am platinum after the second visit. She also does short cuts very well which is rare. It was pricey, yes but on par with other salons offering similar quality services. And well worth it.

I have been coming to the salon since last summer and I have only had the best experiences with the staff. The stylist that I usually see is Nicole. She listens to what I want, and always makes it happen. Thank you, Nicole, for your patience in getting me just the right color and style... I get so many compliments on my hair every time!

Nicole did a full color and haircut. She did a great job. Her coloring skills are one of the best ones I've seen. She knows how to apply the color without damaging the hair. The haircut was well executed.
