I have struggled to find a stylist who can treat, care and style my hair in a way that leaves me satisfied. I’d often leave hair appointments feeling unsatisfied because I’d spent a ton of money and my hair either didn’t feel clean or wasn’t treated properly. Tia does a great job treating my hair and scalp and styling it. She takes her time cleansing, conditioning and treating. I always love my hair when I leave the salon and never have buyer’s remorse. I’d also like to mention Josh at the front desk. He is so very welcoming and pleasant and provides excellent service. Ciara is also very kind and warm and is a pleasure to interact with. I’ve had great experiences here and really hope the team strives to continue to provide excellent hair care and customer service.

I was seen by Tia for a partial highlight. Online it stated my partial highlights would cost $110, but once I was seen and a consultation had been had, I was informed it actually starts at $150, which did not include a cut, style or toner. After telling Tia what I wanted, she stated numerous times that I should get a full instead of a partial, which I declined. She also stated I should get a shadow root to make it more lived in, which I originally agreed to but later declined. I was then told I had to get a shadow root because it was part of the toner (???). I’ve gotten my hair dyed blonde for the last 20 years and had only gotten a shadow root once, so I am still confused by that. I was told after declining a style that I would have to get one before leaving to make sure everything was even, which I again, declined to pay for. Tia was generous and did style my hair complimentary at the end of the service (which looked amazing tbh). She ended up giving me additional blonde highlights on the under-layer portion of my hair (which again, I declined a full and did not want blonde on this portion of my hair). This was done without my knowledge, I was just told that she was adding more blonde free of charge. It did not process long enough (was not placed under a heater) and the foils were removed too soon and I am now left with an orange, uneven patch of hair that she agreed to charge me $85 to fix ( stated she knew I wouldn’t want to wait the additional time it would take to fully process, but I never stated I was unwilling to). I also received a shadow root after expressing numerous times that I did not want one. It is not blended and far too dark, so it now looks like I need my roots touched up already. At the end of the service my total was $285, far more than I expected to pay when I had booked the appointment. I know inflation is real, but after 20 years of partials, I have never paid this much before. Overall, the customer service was lacking ( Taylor and Joshua were awesome, tho!) my wants were not taken into consideration and I am unhappy with the results. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking to maintain their blonde. Edit to add clarification: Yes, it did look amazing when I left. Like I stated, Tia styled it very well, and it wasn’t until I got home and styled it the way I do on a daily basis did I see how awful it looked. When Tia informed me that I could come back had have her fix it for $85, I informed her at that time that I wanted to style it on my own and see if I thought it needed to be fixed, which clearly it does. Also, the inspiration pictures that I showed her were pictures of my own self with how I had been getting it serviced for the last 20 years. I explained to her that the last salon I had seen previously did not lighten it as much as I wanted and would like to be the shade of blonde I was in the pictures of myself that I showed Tia. There was no miscommunication in regard to that. Another edit to add: I had to go to another salon to fix the orange mess and root smudge that I DID NOT ASK FOR that Tia gave me and was informed that she couldn’t even cut my hair evenly and had to get ANOTHER haircut. This salon is a joke.

Had an appointment with Tia today for partial highlight and a haircut, and I am in love with what she did with my hair! Had my hair done 6 weeks ago, it wasn’t what I was expecting it to be, Tia was able to give me what I originally wanted and more! I love the tone of my hair, and the amount of highlights she was able to give me was perfect! Thank you so much for everything you did ❤️🥰

Terrible, the lady was afraid of touching my hair and came up with a stupid price $700.00 an equivalent of $100.00 per hour. I had to hold my laughter in until i got to my car. Imagine having to pay all that plus parking?

Today I got a 7 hour specialty color and blowout. The staff are super nice and gentle. The place is beautiful and clean and the staff make you feel comfortable. As an introvert and socially awkward person, this place really made me feel welcomed. I’ve never been to a salon and I’m very satisfied with the one I chose and I will be back!! Everyone was very hardworking an attentive. 100% recommend!!

Best salon experience I've had in Columbia, SC. The staff explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions in a professional manner. I got the premium blowout service and Cam did an awesome job! She was gentle and detangled my natural hair well. Very pleased with the outcome!

Came here for the first time and had Bailey, now as someone who has literally never written a review I can wholeheartedly say this one is worth it. Bailey was absolutely amazing, did my hair exactly like how I wanted, made sure I was well informed about every decision, was very friendly and not to mention ✨Stunning✨. Overall I enjoyed my visit and most definitely found someone I know I can go to for a nice cut. ASK FOR HER, YOU WONT REGRET IT I PROMISE! but be nice to her 🫵

I made a same day appointment on a Sunday and was accepted by Tia. The service was immaculate and everyone was friendly. I received a traditional sew-in bob and was very pleased with the outcome.

Tia did an amazing job on my hair! I asked for a root blend with baby lights and layers, and she executed what i wanted. She heard me out and was respectful of what i wanted. Super kind, would definitely recommend ☺️

I wanted to go completely blonde. Paid 500 dollars not including tip - I had virgin hair with some highlights already. I liked my hair enough (besides the shadow root which I didn’t ask for-but looked pretty good) when I left the 1st appt but she requested I come back for a distinct line on the bottom third of my hair made from the service. I came back &after the 2nd appt my hair went from blonde to basically brown again with highlights and a lot darker again on my roots and underneath(I left with wet hair and didn’t notice how dark it was prior to leaving) When I put my hair up in a pony tail atp the only blonde part at that point was my pony tail - and the line was still visible when my hair was down. I called to voice this and they said to come in again to fix it - for the 3rd time. I went and she told me that there was no line. ( multiple family, friends &co workers confirmed with me there still was) &was told that it got darker bc the toner washed out ( I had washed my hair 3-4 times since the original appt less than 2 WEEKS ago) and actually graduated from Cosmetology school recently & am licensed.I know toner lasts a lot longer than that. She refused to acknowledge the line&said she would lighten the top again. She applied lightener on my roots and washed it out immediately. She stuck me under the dryer (my hair is thick & doesn’t dry fast) after 30min we looked & I thought it looked a little lighter and figured this was as good as it’s going to get atp. Still gave her a tip and left. It dried & is orange from not being processed enough or toned. I went&bought my own toner&basically fixed the line but as I thought my roots look orange still bc they aren’t even light enough to tone it completely out; now I’m going to have to go spend more money at a different salon and get it fixed - $630 later. So let me put it in this way ! There was this cute guy Jashua on Soda street telling us about this studio and their work, he explained everything patiently and clearly once and when it was time for me to make a change in my hairstyle I decided to give Carolina hair studio a shot. I had some highlights that I made in Italy and my hair dresser in Italy was not able to give me the result that I wanted so I was thinking I can never reach the color that I wanted. When I got there I talked to Taia, such a nice person, showed her 2 photos of a haircut and the color, she just said yes we can make it I think. At that moment, I was like I don’t think she can get the result that I want out of my hair since it was dark brown but let’s trust her professional confirmation. Taia was super natural in doing her work, it was like she knew what exactly she was doing and she was more than a PRO, I still had that feeling that I’m not gonna see the result that I want bc the hair was getting bleach going from brown to orange, she told me it is a difficult job but she can make it. They washed my hair and started drying, I saw the hair cut and I was so shockeddddddddd. I have never seen my hair this beautiful and unique. My hair is healthy, for sure needs being taken care of, but perfect result. Thanks Jashua and Taia for the magical result ❤️
