We had such an amazing relaxing weekend my husband and I! We chose this place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and couldn't be happier with our decision. We stayed in the kingdom suite which was beautiful and clean. Added a package with couple massage, picnic basket, dinner voucher, breakfast in bed. It was just perfect! We enjoyed a walk on the snowy trails, and then warmed up in front of the fireplace in our room. Staff was amazing too! Would definitely go back in summer/fall!

Second time back in 3 years. Absolutely amazing and loved every minute. We did the couples massage this time and it was really great. Great staff and great atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in the Romeo and Juliet room. It was easily the most romantic experience I've ever had. Even with poor weather outside for the weekend, we had a truly amazing time. It couldn't have been any better. Beautiful buildings, decor, furniture, grounds, etc. We also added a package to our stay that included a couples massage, dinner voucher, picnic basket, and more, and it really made our stay so so wonderful. And our room was stunning!! We will definitely be back in some warmer months to really appreciate the grounds more.

My wife and I stayed here in December to celebrate a birthday and have nothing but positive things to say. The main house is a beautiful step back in time. The tiger oak woodwork is spectacular and highlighted by the perfect decorating in each room. Spencer was a phenomenal host who made the stay all the better. The spa is top notch and made for a very relaxing afternoon. If you want to step away from the hustle and bustle for a bit, I encourage you to spend a few nights. It is well worth it!

What a GEM! I booked a 2 night stay at Castle in the Country for a 5 year anniversary trip with my girlfriend and it was more than we ever hoped for. As our first bed and breakfast experience, it’s going to be a difficult one to beat. The check in process was quick but informative. Spencer had so many great suggestions of things for us to do during our visit. The Sir Lancelot suite was beautiful and had a breathtaking view. Breakfast each morning was delicious and our window seat view made it even better. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic and peaceful getaway! Thanks so much to everyone at Castle in the Country. We so look forward to coming back!

Husband and I stayed in the Romeo and Juliet suite in early January. Perfect for a stay-in relaxing weekend on a beautiful property. We enjoyed home-cooked breakfasts, fireplace lit whirlpool soaks, tranquil snow covered trails hikes, and a unique outdoor igloo experience with comfy seating and an electric fireplace. The staff is genuinely what made this weekend so special! Their clean grounds, engaging conversation, and off-site recommendations are what will have us coming back. Please note, you'll have to drive a little to enjoy anything off-site after 9pm, as most restaurants and attractions will be closed.

Everything was amazing, from the view to the food, and definitely the spa. Great country setting instead of the busy city. It was nice to get away and be able to think and enjoy each other.

This place is absolutely charming and peaceful, and beautiful. My fiance and I chose Castle in the Country for our first B&B stay, and they did not disappoint. The rooms and grounds were clean and pristinely kept. We stayed in the Crowning Suite which was spacious and so very beautiful. The jetted tub was so relaxing and fit beautifully in the suite without feeling crowded or cramped. The innkeepers were charming and attentive, thank you so much Caitlin! The food, OMG the food! Each morning breakfast was served, it was delicious! The dining room was intimate and we truly felt relaxed. Steve and I plan to keep coming back, thank you for making our weekend so enchanting! ❤️

This truly does feel like a castle in the country! We had an amazing time celebrating my golden birthday 😊 our room and food was incredible. I didn’t realize how nice it is to sit by the fireplace and enjoy the view. Our bed was amazing and the pillows were so soft. The two person shower was also so nice. We will definitely be back in the future!

We just stayed there for a couple days and It was well worth it, very clean and comfortable Spencer was very nice and extremely helpful, the meals were delicious and the couples massage is a must. Romantic and Relaxing we highly recommended it. The old Victorian house is spacious and warm very cozy

Celebrated our 35th anniversary at the Castle. It was a blessing! First class experience, dynamic customer service and the breakfasts were amazing! 🤩 We really enjoyed our stay in the King Arthur Suite and the local town amenities were a joy to experience Felt like family everywhere we went 🩷🩷🩷

My husband and I chose Castle in the Country’s elopement package because we wanted an intimate ceremony, just the two of us. From check in to checkout, everything was just perfect. Ruth explained the schedule, the property and the local area attractions at check in. The wedding was very personal, just us, the officiant, photographer and the innkeepers as our witnesses. Our package included flowers and a cake too! We stayed 3 nights in The Camelot Suite which was impeccably decorated and spotless. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious and quite filling. We will definitely be back again. Thank you all for making our memories very special.

We got married at Castle in the Country and we cannot find a way to express how grateful we are and how magical and absolutely perfect they made everything look and feel for us. A true fairytale! The Innkeepers were wonderful, they understood our view on the day and made it happen for us. Truly otherworldly. The rooms were stunning. The property over all is like Heaven itself. Thank you to our wedding crew, the officiant, photographer and videographer who made an incredible job and made us feel so calm and like a true prince and princess. Nobody has ever been this nice and i am not even exaggerating, i just can’t stress this enough. If you are thinking of celebrating your wedding, an anniversary or even a gateway do not hesitate to choose them. The only sad moment we had was leaving! Thank you so very much to all and we will definitely be back! We love you all❤️

We stayed for two nights in the Kingdom Suite to celebrate our 20th anniversary and our stay was so absolutely perfect it felt like a movie. We started the first night with dinner followed by a paddle boat ride under the hunters moon. The room was beautiful and the property was amazing as well. Everything we could have wanted or needed was provided, even snacks for nighttime. We got a oackage that was well worth it and had a wonderful picnic in the gazebo, a couples massage (would do this again 1000%) and had dinner at Salt of the Esrth restaurant. Every last detail of everything was perfect - weather, dinner, great massage. The breakfast served to our room each morning was phenomenal both days. We can’t wait to come back again and enjoy in every season of the year. We felt so welcomed and it was so relaxing. We will cherish the mememories we made this weekend forever. Thank you so much for everything you do to make it such a fairy tale stay!!

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful setting with all the amenities castle in the country as your place. We had the Kingdom suite for 2 nights, and I've already planned to go back and check out another one of the suites. It was relaxing, very relaxing and anything we needed the innkeepers took care of.

We cannot say enough positive things about this B&B. We stayed for 2 days in Camelot suite. Everything was PERFECT! The room was exactly as you see online Bathroom with 2 person jacuzzi and spacious shower, fabulous. The private balcony was a plus we didn’t realize when we booked. Chipmunk scared me first day, but realized he was more afraid of me than I was of him. Haha. We had the celebration package. Well worth it. The dinner was delicious. The breakfasts are fabulous also. Lots of food. The couples massage Fabulous. Spencer, one of the inn keepers was so helpful and informative about surrounding area and places of interest to explore. Have been to many B&B’s in Michigan. Castle is one of the best We will definitely be back.

We celebrated our second wedding anniversary here. We stayed in the King Arthur room. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Our breakfasts and picnic lunch were very good. We just got back from our fall trip to Castle. Once again our trip was perfect. Ruth and Herb are the best Hosts,and Spencer and Cailyn are so amazing at making our stay perfect. We enjoyed walking the trails and going down to the boathouse as well as just sitting outside enjoying the property. Or room was perfect and the breakfast was outstanding. The area has so much to do and eveything is just a short drive. We always have a great stay and look forward to our next visit. Thank you Castle for a great 2024 and see you in 2025

We stayed at The Castle in the Country to celebrate our 18 year wedding anniversary, it did NOT disappoint!! The grounds were so well maintained and beautiful, the staff was so friendly, the food was delicious, and it was so peaceful. We enjoyed walking the trails, kayaking/paddle boating, our couples massage, our picnic lunch, and hanging by the outdoor firepits and gazebo! The location was so great to take a day trip to Fennville or Holland to enjoy wine tasting and dinner out. We look forward to visiting again in the future

Great spot! The staff are so knowledgeable- they gave us so many fun tips of things to do in the area. We were only there for a weekend and we were wishing we had a whole week for all the activities near the bed and breakfast.

Im so happy that I went out a limb and trusted a tic toc travelers advice leading me to this beautiful treasure ❤️ the location was perfect for us, centrally located between the places on our itinerary. We stayed in the blue Victorian house and it was stunningly landscaped, beautifully decorated and immaculately cleaned. You know how you just tell that a home has been loved and cared for? We stayed on the third floor in the Tower Room which was perfect for my husband and I. The house is filled with interesting Knick knacks. Books and magazines everywhere, even a selection of vhs tapes and dvds! The entire grounds are just amazing! Spencer and Mike and the whole team do an exceptional job! We will definitely be back 👍

This place has all the best parts of comfy, cozy and classy. Tucked away enough to be secluded and beautiful without it being a hassle to get anywhere. The food was absolutely fabulous and the staff are just the most easy going and helpful people. Highly recommend. Definitely would go back!

My new husband and I just spent a weekend here for our honeymoon. We LOVED this place! We stayed in the Sir Lancelot and the room was gorgeous including a two person jet tub that was so relaxing. Our couples massage was phenomenal! The in house breakfast was delicious. We took a stroll to the back of the property to the screened in little house by the lake for our picnic lunch. It was private and very relaxing. Spencer was very nice and accommodating during our stay! Our package included a dinner voucher. We chose Principle Food and Drink in Kalamazoo and it was one of the best meals either of us has ever had. This B&B was about a half hour drive from the beach and also Gun Lake Casino. I will absolutely come back and stay here again, maybe for our anniversary!

We came to The Castle in the Country for our 1st wedding anniversary and we couldn’t be happier with our stay! The room we stayed in (Lady Guinevere) was immaculate upon our arrival and was beautifully decorated. The service was amazing - Spencer is great, we loved talking with him. And don’t even get me started on the food - it was delicious. We wouldn’t have changed anything about our stay and can’t wait until we can come back for another relaxing weekend!

Because of a high recommendation from family members, we decided to stay at the Castle in the Country (in Sir Lancelot’s room). There is nothing about this place that was even a slightly disappointing. Private lake, paddle boats, nature trails, gourmet breakfast, top notch, beautiful rooms with hot tubs and fire places, and so much more that won’t fit in this review. Such an amazing way to enjoy our 16th wedding anniversary. Thank you for the relaxing and amazing get away, top notch service and all of the personal touches to make everything absolutely delightful. So glad we have another night here!

Lovely cute place still here. Had wonderful massage and have to admit one of my favorite parts so far is the food!!! Both breakfast and the picnic basket we had were so good! If you ever offer other dinner options not in the package def would have interest!! Also tried some lovely wineries today near by. Definitely could see the fire places being nice in the winter (especially w dinner hint hint lol)!!!

And the staff was all very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We bought the royal treatment paackage and it really helped make the whole weekend amazing! We would definitely recommend Castle in the Country and hope to be back in the future.
