Frederick is the best because he is kind and patient and really takes his time to collaborate with you throughout the process so that you can feel comfortable and confident in your hair. He is happy to share his knowledge with you to empower you to take care of your hair in between cuts. My hair always looks fantastic after seeing him, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Many years ago I went to Frederick for my hair and he never gave me a bad haircut or a color that I didn't love. For various reasons, I hadn't been to Frederick for many years. I am so glad to be back. I just had the best color job I've had in probably 25 years. As my daughter put it, he made me look so much younger. I could not be happier. He is worth every penny. Frederick Ayers' salon is incredible. I came in hoping for a better cut for my fine hair. I got a fabulous cut and instructions about styling and maintaining it. Frederick listens and answers any questions you may have. He never tries to sell you on expensive services or products. Instead, he focuses on the customer and the customer's wants and needs. I highly recommend him.

I'm new to the area and badly needed a great haircut. Discovered Frederick on the internet and totally lucked out. Frederick took the time to learn about my needs and my hair. He gave me a fabulous haircut with the style I wanted. He also suggested products to keep my hair from frizzing out with the humidity here. I'll be back. He's also super patient and a nice guy

I loved my experience with Fredrick he and his space is so welcoming & it is so beautiful on the inside! I've seen Fredrick for many years for my hair needs, makeup and just recently my wedding and floral arrangements. He absolutely transforms my hair but he is truly a Jack of all trades. My hair is the best it's ever looked & I’m finally 100% “natural” (something I never thought I’d ever do) . He is absolutely the best 100/10 would recommend him !!!

I had such an amazing experience at Frederick's salon! I came in because my hair was uneven and I wanted to cut it. Before we got started, Frederick spoke with me to get a sense of my usual hair routine and hair goals. He was patient, friendly, and understanding. Once we got started, it turns out we didn't have to cut off as much as I thought to give it a better shape, which was great news. It's so refreshing to have someone in this area who can cut and style natural hair. I went to the salon open to coloring my hair but my mind wasn't fully made up. After talking to Frederick, we decided to go for it and I'm so glad we did! We dyed my hair blonde and Frederick was careful about making sure we found a shade that wouldn't irritate my scalp from having to bleach it too long. After I left, Frederick sent me a list of products to get as well as clear instructions for maintenance in between appointments. I walked away happy with how my hair looked and feeling like I know how to take better care of it. Thank you again Frederick and I can't wait to come back!

Frederick is great! He spends a ton of time asking questions to truly understand what I am looking for. He has a great personality and is fun to chat with throughout the service. He does a great job and I very time I have gone to him, I came out happy that he actually listened to how I like my hair to be. He seems really dedicated to his work, as well as his new business and it’ll be exciting to see how his hard work pays off!

Frederick is more than a hairdresser. He is a hair educator! And as someone who has struggled finding the right “routine” I left my first appointment will new techniques and a product list to get me started! Would totally recommend him. Frederick has been cutting/styling my hair since 2019. I am someone who meticulously researches my hairstylists. When I find one I like, I stick with them. In this scenario, I LOVE Frederick's work. He listens, he cares, he takes his time to make my cut exceptional each time. While extraordinarily professional, Frederick has also taken the time to learn about me and always takes an interest in my life. I truly could not ask for a better stylist.

Frederick is the best stylist I have ever gone to. Not only can he give an amazing (and I truly mean amazing) cut, but his knowledge of hair is unmatched to any person in the area. Moreover, going to him is an experience in itself. Great hair experience from start to finish with Frederick. Once I sat in his chair, we talked about my hair in detail. Before he did anything, he wanted to know about my hair routine, good, bad and ugly. Throughout his process, he informed me of what he was doing and why. This made me feel comfortable but also allowed me to understand his work. In the end, I left feeling like I had made the right choice. I look forward to seeing him again. Definitely worth it! P.S. I've been partnering with Frederick for many years to tackle getting an awesome haircut that meets my needs. I got a full head of hair that'll get those waves and a bit out of control. If I want to keep it long, he makes the wave work for me. If I want it short he makes my hair look awesome without the wave. I mean this with the highest praise, I thought initially it would be silly to "not just get a cheap haircut" and Frederick proved with his skill and care how much of a folly it was for me not to utilize his services earlier.

I’m not over-exaggerating when I say Fredrick Ayers is a godsend. After a box dye-related hair accident, I found myself scrambling to find someone to save my hair so I could show my face in public again. In came Fredrick to the rescue. I was not just struck by the amazing customer service during my appointment but before my appointment when Fredrick messaged me to ask about what needed to be done. On the day of the appointment, I arrived to find a girl profusely thanking Fredrick for saving her hair - I knew I had come to the right place. Upon seeing me, Fredrick immediately understood the brief. As a brown woman, I am always hesitant to go to hairdressers as I feel like they do not understand how to work with the texture of my hair or understand what matches my skin tone. But Fredrick got it, he set about working his magic by mixing the perfect combination to match my skin tone. He was careful to only apply the best products that suited my hair type. When he washed the dye out of my hair I was FLOORED even though I had opted for single processing, it somehow looked like I had gotten balayage done on my hair. This affirmed my faith that this guy is a true hair magician! I want to add not only is he great with hair he’s also a lovely person. Time flew by whilst I was getting my hair done in conversation with him. His salon is very quaint and it really feels like you are getting the most personalized luxury experience. After washing out the hair dye, he gave me the most beautiful blow-dry! I am unashamed to say I might have prolonged its effects by not showering for a few days LOL! Overall I had a 10/10 experience. If there were more stars available, I would give them to him!

Quite possibly the best haircut I've ever had. Frederick is a true pro. He walked me through what he was thinking to do and we were able to brainstorm styles together... and he perfectly executed the vision! Not to mention we had wonderful conversations throughout the whole time. Truly an enjoyable experience and I10/10 recommend.
