I've been coming here for over a year now. Normally, Robbie cuts and colors my hair. Robbie always does an amazing job, plus he's the sweetest person ever. However, for my recent visit, I needed a last minute coloring done before my business trip. Since Robbie was booked, he got me in with one of Chakra's young proteges, Samantha. She did a wonderful job, and I really enjoyed fun, great conversation with her, too. I truly appreciate the team environment at Chakra. Robbie assisted in the color consultation with myself and Samantha before we started. Then, throughout the process, Samantha would ask Robbie or Ivy to double check her work to make sure she was on the right track. Other than a minor tip from them, here or there, she was always spot on. My color came out perfect. The team/family camaraderie at Chakra is a beautiful thing to witness. I love this place! I'd never go anywhere else.

I was grateful to get an appointment here on short notice for a long overdue haircut. Amanda was my stylist and she did a great job. I went with a different cut that was a big change for me, and Amanda took the time to patiently identify and address my concerns. I left feeling awesome about my new style. Thank you so much Amanda and Chakra!

A small town Canadian salon really messed up my color before having to present at an educational event. Kristen fixed everything and gave me the royal Aveda treatment with a rosemary and mint foot bath and hand massage, just what the doctor ordered after a long journey! I highly recommend both this salon and Kristen.

I came to Chakra Salon because my hair needed to be fixed. Prior to my wedding I got my hair colored at the place/person recommended by my wedding planner. The person who did my hair did not listen to anything I said. Basically she bleached part of my hair, which turned orange. I unfortunately I did not have enough time before my wedding to get it fixed. This was devastating to me and upsetting. Lucky for me my hairstylist was able to hide it a bit in my updo. Even after the wedding it got worse and really bothered me. I did a lot of research online because I did not have a hair place I went too. I found Chakra Salon, it was the best decision I made. Everyone has always been so friendly and helpful. When I called and explained my situation, they set up a consultation with Marley, so she could look at my hair and we discuss what could be done. I also did not want to rush into a place and get my hair done since the last time my trust was broken and my hair ruined. Marley was so kind, patient and listened to everything I had to say. She made some suggestions and we came up with a plan for how to fix my hair. After meeting with her I felt comfortable enough to schedule an appointment with her. During my appointment Marley again took her time, listened to me and explained the entire process of what she was doing and why. She was able to fix that part of my hair and even made it look like it was never there!! I was extremely happy. She even helped give me something a little different but not such a huge change that I would be overwhelmed. My hair turned out wonderful and I was so relieved I did not have to try to hide that orange spot in my hair everyday with headbands, clipping it up,etc. I highly recommend Chakra Salon - everyone here is awesome, friendly and passionate about what they do. Marley is phenomenal and I will only go to her for my hair needs from here on out! Team Marley!

I love Robbie Iv been going to him for 4+ years and have never had a bad experience and have always loved experience and the outcome of my hair. The salon is beautiful I love all the small touches it makes the salon very welcoming and homey feeling.

I’ve been coming to Robbie when I moved to Albuquerque. I was recommended by a friend. I have always had experiences in the past with people who did not color my hair right and didn’t cut my hair to my liking . I had just given up, that’s before I met Robbie .Yes I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my hair. After my friend recommended me I showed up thinking it will just be another bad experience . But Robbie is on another level. I started losing my hair due to thyroid issues, We immediately sat down and he went over my bad experiences and the color and hair extensions I wanted . He made me feel comfortable and safe . I just want to say do not go elsewhere with your color and or hair extensions . Robbie is one of the best in Albuquerque to get your hair extensions done . Mine last well over 3 months . With not even one coming off until I see him next . I’m always getting compliments on how beautiful my hair is. Stop wasting your money and go see Robbie. Robbie needs to be somewhere in NYC with the famous hair dressers I swear . But I wouldn’t want him to leave!!!! And if I ever move again I would fly in just for Robbie to do my hair .He’s simply amazing!

Robbie listened to what I wanted was able to give me highlights that my previous hair stylist said could not be done with my hair. Also the owner is amazing. She has a can do attitude that is rare. Great listener.

Absolutely terrific salon with talented staff. Haley specializes in color and is exceptionally talented. She could be working in high-end New York salons on celebrities (and did!), and Albuquerque is lucky to have her. Madi stays current on both classic and current hair trends and styles. I have the best haircut of my life thanks to her. ❤️

I got my hair highlighted, colored, and cut by Kristine and it was the best salon experience I’ve ever had! I’ve been telling everyone about how happy I am with my color, it’s so beautiful and looks so natural, while also being very purposeful and elevated! I never expected the whole experience with the hand massage and foot soak, it was seriously so luxurious! My hair smelled so good after and it stayed feeling amazing for over a week after! I swear the products Kristine used in my hair made my scalp less greasy and my hair more shiny and soft!!! I can’t recommend this place (and Kristine) enough!

I've visited Chakra twice. The first time I was in a panic, having had a bad experience with a very nice but inexperienced stylist at another salon. Aly stayed late on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to help make sense of that mess! You won't find many salons open on a Sunday, and I cannot believe I had the amazing fortune to come across someone with such empathy for my situation that she was willing to stay late! Six weeks later, I just left her chair for the second time, and I am elated with the results! Elated!! Honestly, I hugged her before leaving. Chakra is a wonderful salon, and Aly has made me feel so good about myself!

This salon has great energy. It feels like a mix between a yoga studio and a lounge. There's an awesome set of stylists. Ivy Nguyen is one of my favorites. She helped me grow out my hair, gave me an awesome undercut and helped me style it. Ally is another nice stylist. And so is Marion, who also happens to be the owner. I've heard she's a wonderful employer who truly cares about her employees' needs. If you want to support somewhere local with positive values and great quality this is the place!

This was my first experience at Chakra Salon. I’ve had been wanting a haircut and finally decided to make an appointment. I was so lucky they were available on such short notice. I was warmly greeted and offered tea or water by Ivy. She did a scalp massage on me. Wow! Very relaxing! Much needed. She took the time to ask me about my hair and what I wanted and what I have done to it, and what I do currently with it. She also explained all the products she was using. She gave me a new natural part, which I love. She did an amazing job and I loved our conversation. She’s a great stylist and I look forward to my next appointment while she helps in growing out my hair.
