Horrible experience. Called and made an appointment for a trim, checked online and the service charge says $25. During my appointment the man (Tony) doing my hair insisted on trimming my bangs as well as trimming my ends. Making sure the service charge wouldn’t be increased I agreed. Throughout the appointment he tried to sell me condition and hair oil that I was not interested in a degraded me for not “taking better care” of myself. After forcefully moving my head and insulting with comments the entire time, the cut was done. He had managed to cut off 3 inches of my hair and then tried to charge $80 for a hair cut. I was mortified that he had scammed me and without my permission cut A LOT of hair off. I asked for a trim prior to arriving and while there, but he did not listen. Steer clear!

Just a for your information… I went to the website and saw the hair dresser here was someone named Emily. I called in to book an appointment and the person who answered the phone said they had an availability in the afternoon. I made some time and went in and the appointment was not with Emily. It was with someone named Tony, the person who answered the phone. I’m not sure if I would have liked the appointment if I had intended on booking with Tony. Just so you know: Booking here could land you an appointment with someone other than the person listed on the website. It had been over five years since I had a hair cut at a studio. I don’t know if I’ll get my hair cut out at a hair studio again. Maybe I’ll just shave it all off again instead. Apologies to Tony and Emily about the review. I had a terrible time and I wish it went differently.

I was looking for a hairstylist for sometime, having lost my longtime hairstylist to retirement during the pandemic. I found Tony at Changes Hair Studio in Mountbaker. So glad I did. Tony listened to how I wanted my haircut and then cut it into the perfect style. He is fast, efficient and fun to talk with. He is the consummate professional with years of experience and his experience shows in the quality cut he gives. I also found his prices to be very reasonable. Tony cuts both men's and women's hair. His shop is located in the same building as Mioposto, Palates and the Velvet Elk and next to the Mountbaker Community Club. There is parking right in front on the street. Super convenient. 5 stars!

My guy Toni from way back in the day cutting my hair after graduating from UW in 93! Lived in the neighborhood post graduation with my mom during mid 90s. Hola Toni, been living outside US from Thailand to Mexico the past 13 years and now 56 but still have great hair jaja! John

Absolutely amazing he came in and open up the shop when when it was closed. Took his time didn’t rush us make sure that my son got the best treatment ever honestly this is a lifetime experience you don’t get this type of hospitality every day. The communication between a man and a barber is something that is very overlooked I am glad that my son finally found one. Now he knows what the expectation should be. Thank you for this incredible experience.

Best place for fast and stylish haircuts. Safe to go to during covid because they all have masks on, and will make every hair cut work with you wearing your mask. Temperature reading at the door. All clients are separated so no need to worry about close proximity.

Believe me, I don't generally give negative reviews but this salon deserves one. Got a so-so haircut and I was sold product that I didn't want. When I went back the next day to return it, I was given the runaround. All in all a very disappointing experience.

I've been getting my hair cut by Tony at Changes for about 20 years. Not only is Tony friendly and efficient but he is seriously fast. I'm usually in and out in about 10 minutes flat looking much better than I did when I entered. I highly recommend Tony and his fellow hair stylists.
