Doesn’t know what a bald fade is. I still have hair on my fade and she still thinks it’s bald lol. If you’re a guy don’t come here. Then she tried to charge me extra for no reason but I got the regular price down.

⚠️TLDR: don’t come here!!!⚠️ If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon and I was so nervous I didn’t let her finish my bang trim. The black hairdresser did my bangs, I don’t know her name. All I wanted was rounded bang trim and lightening of the weight of my bangs. I offered to show a picture and she declined she said it wouldn’t help. The method she used to cut my bangs was twisting them and cutting it all at once, and by doing this when I had asked to go a little shorter, she did a CM off instead of the few MMs I was thinking. When I said it was shorter than I wanted she said no it wasn’t and I was becoming a “very difficult” client. She was very argumentative, did not listen to feedback, was not welcoming or kind at all. She seemed inexperienced. Not a good listener. It seems the owner is good, but avoid the other hairdresser. Not worth the price nor convenience. Definitely will not be coming here again.

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIRCUT HERE! ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Went there with my wife earlier and the place had a very strange smell and the hairdresser was extremely rude, should have taken that as a sign…. My wife is from Brazil and has always gone to the same place in her home town. Naturally she was nervous about getting a haircut, but was needing one. We went in, and from the beginning she was rude and told me to sit down and wait, even though I wanted to be closer to my wife since she was nervous and doesn’t know all the English jargon around haircuts. When my wife told her that she always has her hair wet before cutting because that is how they do it in Brazil to be able to cut it straight, she told her that a good hair dresser is able to cut hair straight if it’s wet and dry. When she was finally finished, my wife took a look in the mirror and saw that her hair was longer on her left side than on her right. When she mentioned it, she said that it is because her hair is wavy. She was very very rude and when we were leaving, I was in such a rush to leave but still wanted be a decent person and leave a standard 15% tip and accidentally left a $15 dollar tip which my wife was really pissed about… When we got home my wife literally had a panic attack and saw that in the back it wasn’t even straight and saw that some places were uneven after taking a shower and wetting her hair (which the hairdresser recommended). Tomorrow I am going to go get it fixed in another place, wish us luck! SERIOUSLY, DO NOT GET YOUR HAIRCUTS HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Absolutely incredible! Vicky was able to fit me in for a same-day appointment and did an incredible job. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable during my cut -- noticed I was sweating, as I often do, and she turned the temperature down straightaway. Prices are competitive, especially for the area, but I no longer need to shop around -- I'll be coming back!

Great haircut spot in north lakeview/ Buena park area. I really enjoy the cuts I get from here. I have curly hair and when I have it longer, barbers don't always know how to cut it. Vickie, the owner, is super kind and personable. This is a wonderful small business to support. I will definitely keep going back.

I have been going to Charbella's salon for nearly a year and every time, I get a great haircut from Vicky at Charbella's every time I see here. Super friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and great service. I always feel very welcome and the prices are great. If you need a new salon in the area, give Charbella's a shot.

I went in for a haircut and Vicky immediately made me feel at home. I’m from a smaller town, and yes I’ve been in the city for a few years now, but even with the hustle and bustle on the corner of W Irving Park Rd and N Clarendon, the ambience gave me small town vibes. She gave me an amazing cut, took interest in things I was talking about, and just made me warm. Her overall demeanor was very family like. I felt like family at Charbella Salon. She even discounted my cut and wouldn’t let me tip her because she remembered I was going to look for jobs, and had some interviews coming up. Don’t worry, Vicky! Mrs Vicki is such a joy! I was nervous to get my hair trimed but she made me feel comfortable and showed me how much she was cutting before hand. I have curly hair and haven't used heat in a long time. Mrs. Vicki blew out my hair on low heat and took her time. My fear of hear damage went out the window. She did my hair with so much care. Thank you!

Not sure why this place has high ratings! Very poor quality of haircut and hygiene levels. I was almost left wondering if the lady who did my hair ever knew how to cut hair or if she was practicing. Not worth it and never going back. Also charged 30 bucks for a regular haircut when their pricing displayed in the store says 25 bucks.

The salon owner Vicky is so nice and welcoming. I was looking for a salon to give me a cut same day and Vicky had availability. She was very attentive when I explained to her I'm growing out my pixie to a bob and cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. She also has a warm and fun personality. I'll definitely be back :)

I love this place!! Vicki is so delightful and makes her salon a friendly, lovely place to get your hair cut. I walked in one day hoping I could get a haircut relatively soon and she took me right away! She gave me an adorable haircut and I will absolutely be going back - thanks, Vicki!!
