I wasn’t going to write a bad review, just wanted to give stars but since you made this explanation, I feel like I need to explain to you. I came to your salon for “ layered hair “. I showed a picture of a woman has her layers from the nose to the end. And I asked him “ did you understand that I want layers all the way down to the end. He cut my hair and saw my face unpleasant and said “ if you don’t like it you can come again to fix “. I did. This time I showed one of the worker hair and said” you see the layers all the way down ? “ He said “ yes “ . I said again” you need to cut the layers all the way down , not disconnected. You made disconnected layers! “ he said that he understood. I shouldn’t even give a second chance because nothing changed. My hair looks so disconnected and looks terrible and hard to style! I went to another hair salon and have been told that they can’t even fix! I left %30 tip for his mess at the first appointment and left with a smile. Second appointment I left with a smile. I am not a person who would be mean. But my understanding is you expected me to not have my positivity if I am not happy about result. Well, I am wishing you to have mean customers. Instead of writing response to my 2 star , if you would call me and talk to resolve the problem I would even changed my review.

Camilla on Oak Street in Chicago is AMAZING! Every time I leave her salon, I’m beyond happy with the results. She listens to what I want and somehow makes it even better. Her attention to detail and creativity are unmatched. Highly recommend!

Got my balayage done here, was my first experience with the salon and balayage. I can say I am pretty satisfied. Micheal did a great job making my hair look natural and blend in with my present hair. My hair was deeply shampooed and conditioned, smelled good. The costumer service was great, Micheal and Natalya asked me questions and made sure they understood everything that I wanted before doing my hair.

Been going to Charles Ifergan Salon for years. Can't say enough wonderful things about the salon, colorist and stylist. Everyone is professional, courteous and does a fabulous job on my hair every time. Love this salon!!!

Could not recommend this salon enough! I’ve been going here for over 8 years. Jacob is the only person my sister and I see and he is the best. I have sent multiple friends to him and they all agree. He always does it right. Everyone else is so nice and the salon is beautiful and clean. I always look forward to my appt!

I would not recommend Charles Ifergan salon to anyone who does not want their hair completely ruined. My hair was burnt, resulting in severe breakage, tangling, and hair loss. To top it off, I got a skin infection and allergy the day after visiting the salon. Despite knowing the director of the brand, it did not help. When I reached out to him, he didn’t care and simply told me to contact the management team. They suggested putting a glaze on my hair, but I explained that it wasn't the solution due to severe damage and infection. Unfortunately, they did not even respond. Terrible service and complete disregard for customers. I liked the stylist who did my haircut, but everything else was just awful. Avoid this place at all costs. UPD: Responding to some inaccuracies in the owner’s response: 1. I was never offered the opportunity to come in for a patch test. 2. The service I requested was a natural balayage, but instead, very light highlights were done. 3. To clarify, I mentioned that although I liked the tone, it wasn’t what I had asked for, and my hair was severely damaged. Having bleached my hair for many years, I can distinguish between normal bleach damage and overprocessing caused by a colorist’s mistake. 4. The photo I sent was taken right after the service, so the hair appeared better then than it did a few days later when it began breaking significantly. Even in that photo, it's clear that hair around my face was already breaking, and I even marked the area. It's impossible to overlook that, yet they claim the hair looked healthy. 5. Dissapponting to hear that they they seem to take pride in ignoring their clients’ concerns and messages.

Love this place along with their staff, colorists and stylists! Location is amazing, and everyone is knowledgeable and good at what they do. Happy to recommend this salon to everyone! It’s nice to be able to keep going to the same place for years knowing it will be consistent every time.

Love this salon! My stylist retired after seeing him for 20 years and I was scared to find a new place to cut my hair. I got a referral from a friend to try Charles Ifergan and I found my new, forever salon! The front desk staff is super helpful, the salon is clean and comfortable and my haircut is amazing! Thank you!

Oh, My God! Where do I start? The Charles Ifergan Salon is gorgeous and their staff is sweet and welcoming. I've had the most delightful experience coming in here. Special thanks to stylist Nataliia and colorist Michael. They are professional and trully love what they do! Thanks Natalia for all the tips because my hair hasn't felt so lush and beautiful in a long time !

I went to the workshop. My appt was at 2:15. I waited till 3:15 to be seen. It was worth the wait. Feda under George gave me Foiliage. The lightener was quality the highlight placement was great and the toner pulled it all together. Happy with the result!

I’ve been coming to the Charles Ifergan salons for about 6 years now, the Oak St location for 4 and Charles always does a beautiful job with his haircuts. He’s organic and fluid and a true stylist. Today I got a balayage with Lindsey. To say I am happy with it is an understatement. She made the whole experience fun and delivered a result that was BEYOND my expectations. She merged my inspo pix with her expertise and just WOW 10000/10

I want to start off by saying I rarely visit a salon multiple times. I have difficult hair and I haven't been able to find a place that could color match and cut my hair how I wanted. That's until I found Michael and Jacob at Charles Ifergan. Michael has matched my hair color perfectly! The only way I can tell my hair has grown out is that my grey hair starts to show. The rest of the color blends in so perfectly I can't tell where the color stops and my natural hair starts! Jacob took the time to listen to me and my needs for my overly thick hair. He spent the time making sure to put the volume of my hair in all the right places so I didn't look like a triangle. I am no longer nervous about getting my hair done because I feel comfortable and confident at this salon

Charles Ifergan cut my hair. I loved it, and I also liked that the salon had heat lamps, in addition to dryers, so that my natural curls were maintained. Great staff as well and nice atmosphere.

Normally, I don't leave reviews, but I absolutely love my experience here! Salons have always made me feel intimidated, but this time I felt genuinely welcome. Charles took care of my haircut, going the extra mile to help me style it perfectly. It truly made my day! I noticed there are some negative reviews, but it's challenging for any business to satisfy everyone we just need to understand each other. Definitely want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped me today!

This is an excellent salon. So well run. And the staff is so friendly. I go to Camilla for color and she is excellent. She really listens and and gets you the color you want. And if it’s something that might not work, or give the result you want, she’s straightforward about it. And then has suggestions for what would work better. Highly recommend!

This was my first time at this salon, and all I have to say is I AM IN LOVE. I felt extremely welcomed, heard, and taken care of. I had Michael as my colorist and he did such a gorgeous job on my hair. I will be definitely be recommending this salon to everyone from now on. I left and felt beautiful. Needless to say I have found my forever salon! Thank you once again for this amazing service.
