I have to share my amazing experience with Mike Saunders, who did my hair extensions on a whim. I'm so grateful to him because they turned out incredible! Mike was meticulous, taking his time and making sure every extension was secure without any discomfort. He truly made my day (and my week!). I can't stop admiring my new hair. It looks fantastic, and I feel so much more confident. If you're thinking about getting hair extensions, I can't recommend Mike enough. Thank you, Mike, for giving me a hair transformation that I absolutely love!

Mike did a great job with my haircut and style. Great guy, was personable and actually cuts your hair the way you want. Very clean salon, and cool atmosphere. Will be back again sometime soon.

Charles Proper and Josh are the best! Josh has been my hair stylist for over 15 years and is amazing with color and cut. He really listens to what you want and easily makes it a reality. Charles Proper has a great, laid back vibe and I love the space. I would highly recommend!

I have followed Chae across salons because not only is she an amazing stylist, but she makes me feel so comfortable and well cared for. Conversation flows easily and she has a keen eye for color and style to compliment my straight fine hair. The salon is beautiful with chill vibes and there’s easy parking which is a big deal for south end.

I’ve been coming to Charles Proper since they opened their doors and I can confidently say I will never need another salon. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are always remembering small and intimate details about your life, and the quality of service is unmatched. Josh has always gone above and beyond for me as a client and he has held the same expectations of every stylist in his salon. Changing my appointment times is hassle-free and I am always excited to come back and see the salon staff that I consider my friends. The vibes are immaculate. Best salon experience I’ve had. My color is on point every time. Cannot imagine going anywhere else! Having a coffee/alcohol bar in the salon as well doesn’t hurt. :)

Worth. Every. Dime. I had my first cut with Josh today. Easily my best hair cut experience. Josh took the time to explain my hair to me, explain his technique and make sure we were on the same page. But the best part is— he delivered. I’m super happy with my cut and I’ll definitely be back.
