My daughter had a beautiful experience at this salon. She is very tender headed and cried at the start of her appointment. So, I asked the salon owner to be gentle with her. Long story short, when I picked her up she was all smiles. They were easy on her head. She loves the style, I love the style, and all of this in under 5 hours. ⭐️

I had a wonderful experience at this shop. My hair is absolutely beautiful.🥰 I was able to make a same day appointment. I received excellent customer service from the time I walked in. I got my hair braided here back in June, and micro braids was the service I requested. Before I made my appointment, I asked the representative if my boxes would be small because I've had experiences with braiders making my boxes medium or bigger and my extensions small. I was told my boxes would be small like my extension, and although I was a little skeptical, I was assured that my boxes would be small. Of course, that isn't what I got. After I got home, I headed straight to my bathroom, looked in the mirror, and was beyond disappointed that I was misinformed about how my hair was going to be done. I paid for micros, but that is not what I got as my boxes were huge in comparison to my extensions. It is unfortunate that braiders are taking a shortcut when doing micros by making the boxes much larger than the size of the extension yet still quote a price for micros. I am again on the hunt for credible braiders that provide the services I request and pay for. Oh, I have been getting my hair braided in micros for over 35 years. I will not be going back to this shop.

I would never recommend this braiding salon to anyone. Despite my fiancé booking her appointment three weeks in advance for 9:30 AM, she sat and waited until 8:39 PM to finally be seen. As a caregiver to her autistic nephew, her time is incredibly valuable, and this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. By 8:00 PM, she had text me to tell me she was nearly in tears—not only from the exhaustion but also from the unbearable heat and the endless wait. The lack of respect for her time and comfort is appalling. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away from this place. This was a mistake that won't be made again.

Best braiding place in Jacksonville. I had my hair done this week and its looks absolutely gorgeous. I bring my own hair but unfortunately was not enough and they offer me the extra curly hair for free. Braiders are lovely specially Miss Cherie. Thanks for the good service I will be back for sure. Absolutely recommended

Booked my wife a appointment for box braids for 1:30. Wife got to the appointment and wasn't in a chair until 2pm (not getting hair dome just in a chair waiting). She waited in a chair until 2:40 without her hair being touched before finally leaving. This is very unprofessional and a giant waste of time. Now I have a irritated wife without the time to find anywhere else to get her hair done.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! This was the Worst braiding service experience I have ever had! A little background, I can no longer do synthetic hair as I now have an allergic reaction to it. Three months ago my braider did my first experience with human knotless boho braids. I fall in love with the style. She moved to Maryland so I began the search for a new braider. I came across this facility on Instagram. The photos posted and the website had me thinking this was a good business to try. I was able to book online which was nice and also quoted the time of four hours online however there are no prices listed! I had to reach out by phone since my question on the booking was not answered. With me providing the human hair I was still quoted $250 for mid back medium knotless boho braids. The only payment method is cash. I arrived at the facility and was surprised how crowded and packed they were. There were two rows of braiders on each side at one point about 12-14 braiders and women sitting in pop up chairs to get as many people in as possible. I showed the hair to Sheri when I arrived to make sure it was enough hair to complete the requested hair style. I was assured it was good, she asked me to give her a few minutes before they could begin my hair. They were scrambling to figure out who could do my hair. I was originally told one person would do the back and another would finish. They added a chair by the front door to do my hair. Sitting there I saw Cheri ask people with appointments to come back later as they are too busy now. I couldn't see the progress of my hair, I did ask her though when I saw separating hair that she is doing medium size. She assured me that they were. After working on my head a bit she told me she has to stop my head and complete another customer's head and will come back to me. She said 30 minutes was actually an hour. I was moved to one of the permanent chairs after she finished the other person's braids. At this point being more than 1/2 way through my hair she showed me a mirror and asked if I liked it. It was NOT at all what I wanted but it was now 5:30pm and I was supposed to be done an hour ago it was smaller and shorter than I wanted. So I make the conscious decision to have her keep going as I don't have the time to have them start over or walk out with 1/2 a head done. Meanwhile the lady behind me was furious. She said she had been there since 9AM and drove down from GA. She wanted Cheri to finish her hair as she originally stated she would. For a while she sat there and waited for Cheri for Cheri to come from the back and start working on someone's head and she eventually got up to leave this is when Cheri went to speak to her. It turned into an argument outside, both of them yelling at each other. The lady braiding my hair went to get Cheri to come back in the building. When Cheri did she was speaking loudly and speaking negatively about the customer who left saying she didn't want to pay from the beginning. My hair was stopped on two more occasions one for her to help another braid dip braids and the last one when the upset customer came back and Cheri for a second time went outside to confront the customer. Another customer at this point called the police for safety. Two other braiders were able to get Cheri back into the building. They then locked the door just in case this lady came back. My hair was completed by 8:15pm!!! I was there for 8 hours and 15 minutes. I will admit I did not closely inspect my braids as I truly just wanted to get out as I was Hungry and a bit worried the angry customer may show up again. The police showed up as I was leaving. The human hair was cut in half instead of telling me more hair was needed. With that though she kept the curly strands at 22"!!!! So I have braids that are 12" and added curly hair pieces at 22"! What makes this SO CRAZY is she sent me home with an UNOPENED pack of hair. So this let's me know there was enough hair to complete the desired hair style.

I went here for boho knotless braids and let me tell y'all, they slaayeed this style! Not only did they do an amazing job on my hair, all the ladies in the salon are very friendly and professional. The salon was good vibes the entire time I was there. Come see Cherie and her crew. They won't disappoint you.

My appointment was at 9 Am when I got there it was literally 4 other ladies there waiting to get their hair braided with only one braided at the shop. We sat there a whole hour before the other braiders showed up. They didn’t start on my hair until 11:45. I was quoted a price of $250 but when she started braiding I was told it would be a $10 charge for the hair. If anything they should’ve took money off for starting two hours late & not added money on unexpectedly. Why wasn’t the price of the hair originally included in the amount they gave me.

A hidden gem! My original appointment with a different stylists was canceled & after years of going to private stylists, I decided to try an African braiding salon again. So glad I did! I called & Cheri immediately answered, gave me a time, price, and confirmed my appointment. I arrived and waiting a while, which I’m okay with, but would prepare for if you’re in a hurry. And is totally normal for walk-ins. The service was quick with about 3 stylists at a time. Cheri went out of her way to make me comfortable and the tv was entertaining. I will be coming here regularly! My knotless braids are perfect.

Do NOT get your braids done here. I drive 2 1/2 hours to get my hair horribly done at this place.When i initially called for a quote for small BOHO knotless braids i was quoted $250 by Cheri but when i got in the salon she told me it would be $400. I told her i was not paying that because thats not what i was quoted. I also had an appointment at 10am and Cheri did not start on my hair till about 10:30. She did a little bit of my hair then 3 other girls helped but it was a DISASTER! My parts are very small in the front and very large in the back. The parts are VERY CROOKED in the back. One side was very full and the other side was very thin. It took a total of 11 hours to do the hairstyle that came out horrible. BOHO pieces have been falling out everyday PLUS they are NOT knotless. They definitely all have knots. The actual braids are also very big for the size boxes that they made in the front. I would NEVER come back here again. And i would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. UPDATE: my hair was redone to my satisfaction and walked out a happy customer. Parts are all straight this time & i have no complaints.

This place should have a much better rating. I took my daughter here to get her hair braided, and the experience was amazing. In and out in less than 3 hrs. My daughter is super tenderheaded, and these ladies made the experience a great one.
