haruka is an artist! She listens to the client’s wants and advises what is needed giving options then applies her artistry! Appts are difficult to come by but very much worth the wait in her terrific midtown studio! A real gem of a place and I am definitely coming back!

The only hair stylist I trust in America!! I have been coming here for four years since the old salon and now her salon! I love getting my digital perms with her because she will always analyze my hair to see if it suits it. She is super friendly and can always advise you on a hairstyle if you need it!!

Haruka is the only hair stylist I will trust fully for my hair. Her great skills and tasteful aesthetic makes any hair looks amazing and gorgeous. I have been followed her for years since the early time she worked for another salon and having her own studio. Her space is very cozy and clean, I always enjoy my time there. My only 100% recommended hair stylist in New York City.

I couldn't be happier with my discovery of Haruka as my long-term hair stylist! Her skills are simply unparalleled and she always makes my hair look absolutely fabulous. I even followed her from her previous salon to her own studio because I trust her so much. Not only is Haruka extremely talented, but she's also incredibly knowledgeable about all types of hair. She's given me many tips and advice on how to maintain my hair's health and keep it looking its best. What's more, Haruka's studio is a cozy and inviting space that makes every visit a truly relaxing experience. I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone in search of a top-notch stylist who truly cares about their clients' hair!

I have been coming to Haruka for my haircut for the past four years even before she opened her gorgeous new salon. In all four years I have consistently been impressed by her artistry and professionalism. Even after I moved to New Jersey, I have continued to make trips into the city just to go to her salon.

I have been going to Haruka for almost 4 years for cut, bleach, and colorand always leave satisfied. I am always complimented on my hair when i am out and i now give her full control of how to style. Cannot reccomend this place enough!

I will never ever get my hair done by anyone other than Haruka. I went to see her for the first time in December of 2021 with terribly damaged, poorly bleached hair, and she absolutely transformed it using the organic smoothing treatment. Her salon is beautiful, it's simple, classy and elegant. Literally nothing beats the service at this place. Haruka pays attention to every little detail and ensures perfection in the outcome!! This is the #1 salon in New York and Haruka is 100% the #1 hair stylist and salon owner. I don't think i could rave enough about her, she's so amazing. Highly highly recommend to everyone and anyone.

I've been seeing Haruka for years, even before she opened her own salon. I always go back to her because of her skills and because she's the sweetest. She's very meticulous and really listens to what you wish for. I gave her free reign on a haircut and color on the latest visit. I simply asked for a bob and a low-maintenance balayage. She did her magic and really knows how to shape the haircut to highlight my face shape. Oh, and the head spa? It's a must to splurge (if you can!)... Those 15 mins flew by, but what an amazing spa and massage. Her salon is also very clean, cute, and cozy!

I’ve been to several Japanese hair stylists in NY but after meeting Haruka I’ve been going to her ever since. My hair was a mess when I first came to ber with different tones of color, blotchy highlights — but I really wanted a balayage. She explained we’ll start a process of bleach in such a way to mitigate hair damage but still giving a lighter balayage look. This was the best advise I’d ever gotten, especially with my dark Asian hair! Results were fantastic. In terms of hair cut, she always layers my hair to perfection, working around the areas with natural kinks, because those cannot be too short. If you also love a good head massage - please enjoy it when she washes your hair. She presses some pressure points that feels amazing. Beautiful, cozy salon is a plus and she takes sanitization and cleanliness very seriously. Congrats Haruka again for starting your very own salon!

Oh my gosh Haru is literally a hair genius!! I know she does hair of all kinds but as an Asian woman I had trouble finding people who knew how to deal with fine hair — I have followed Haru from Hayato to her new place and will not let anyone else touch my hair!! She has done the most beautiful balayage (without bleach, might I add!!), digital perm, haircuts which give me body and volume, and blowouts! She is not only meticulous and incredibly skilled but she’s also honest when you ask her if something will look good on you. I waited so long to write this review because selfishly I don’t want her to get busier but I can’t keep her to myself when she’s this good (and that would be me being a bad client). Seriously, go. But book in advance and I promise she is worth the wait! As an aside, because she is so amazing I would let her do my hair in a van for all I care, but her studio is also very clean and comfortable and has great wifi (I might have had to answer a work email or two while there)

If you need a stylist, run don't walk, to Haruka. She is incredibly talented, thoughtful, sensitive to her client's needs and wonderful to be with. I always walk in a mess and walk out feeling like a million dollars. Can not say enough nice things about Haruka !

New to the city, I needed to find someone that specialized in angled bob haircuts because they're my signature look. A search for "short bob haircut" turned up a Japanese salon named Hayato, and all the angled bobs that I liked were by Hakura! I learned that she'd opened her own salon and it was easy to get an appointment online. She is so good at what she does, very detailed, and super nice. My hair is always shiny and bouncy when I leave. I highly recommend her!
