Attempted to get an appointment but the salon wreaked of weed smells!!!

Samantha did an amazing job with my daughter’s braids. My daughter is tender headed and she took extra care to make the process smooth for her. The price was nice for what she did and my daughter is super excited that they came out so beautiful. Finally a salon we can return to and feel comfortable spending money in. I can’t wait to get my hair done and my daughter will definitely be back. Great place! Thank you Samantha for your wonderful service!!!

Samantha is Very professional, always on time. The braiding station is comfortable and relaxing. My braids always come out the way I asked, and my braids actually last for multiple weeks staying in good condition. 5/5

I chose this shop based off of the reviews and pictures but my experience with the owner was unpleasant from the minute I walked into the shop. I was not greeted, she argued with me over the way I wanted my hair blended, she called me socially awkward, she was cold and mean spirited the entire time, chanted “Jesus” repeatedly over my head while braiding, put her hands on my shoulders and prayed aloud over me without my permission, and walked off to do someone else’s hair halfway through doing mine without a word and got someone else to finish the most important part of my style. I think this behavior started because I expressed a safety concern while waiting for her to arrive. The inside of the shop itself is nice but the exterior and parking lot are not and there was someone shady out there when I arrived alone first thing in the morning. She called me “scary” and said nothing bad ever happens there. When she asked me if I wanted to cancel the appointment while I was already sitting in her chair I should have ran far and fast as it obviously would have spared us both but I was going through a prolonged illness at the time and desperately wanted to get my hair done in a nice low maintenance style to look & feel more like myself again. This was the strangest and most traumatizing customer experience I’ve ever had. I forgive you though and I forgive myself for allowing the abuse. It taught me a lot.

I gave 2 stars because in the past Samantha has done a very good job on my hair. Unfortunately the last few times have been horrible. I booked in the morning and she was over an hour late. She did apologize so I did proceed with my appointment because I understand things do happen. On a different occasion Samantha stop halfway through doing my hair to eat. After that she was on the phone arguing with her boyfriend while braiding my hair & had to keep on stoping to fuss. As a result of her being upset with her boyfriend my braids suffer. Some were big some were small and didn't look as neat. She then ask her coworker to come help her finish my hair. So her & her coworker braiding skills are different & my hair towards the top looked horrible. I didn't realize this until I left and went home and was checking out my hair. So I did pay but when I got home I message her and she really didn't seem to care. So that was my last time going. Honestly, she's a good braider but when she preoccupied fussing having phone conversations your hair will suffer.

Was in need of getting my hair done and was given another salon but after being on hold for 12 minutes I called Chic Thairapy and I tell you I wasn't disappointed at all. Environment was calm soothing and relaxing. On short notice I was able to get my hair done. I thank you so much and I'm 2 weeks late getting this review up charge it to my mind and not my heart. But you rock with them hands and u have a client in me. I sent my sister friend and she slayed her hair too with knotless and my 17 yr old is booked for her appointment. Thanks Sam see you soon.

I met Samantha for the first time today. She installed my Senegalese crochet braids. She has such a calming spirit. Extremely efficient. She was on time and got right to working on my hair. I was more than pleased with the outcome. Finally, I have found my hair care home!

My daughter loves getting her hair styled by Ms. Samantha. The salon is a clean, professional environment. The service is timely and the quality of work is excellent. Sam is an excellent hair stylist and braider. I have been going to her for 5 years and each visit has been a pleasant experience. She goes to classes to stay up on latest trends, styles, products, and techniques. She is courteous, funny, professional and full of wisdom. As long as she styles hair she has a client in me!!

I love going to Sam. To get my hair done !! Her quality is amazing!! You come to her to get ur hair done and also get spiritual messages, her technique and braiding or even doing eyelashes are amazing. Sam is very professional and does amazing work. I have been a client for over 4 years. She doesn’t braid tight and you will have all your edges. Her work is very neat and fast. She has done everything from no knot corn rolls, box braids, kinky, Nubian twist, lemonade braids and child braids on my daughter.

Usually the service is great but this time I was left with way to tight braids that I had to take Tylenol for days after and also multiple sores from the crochet needle that was handled way to roughly!! My hair did look good but it wasn’t worth the pain that I was left in. I will most likely not be returning.

She was on time, professional, very friendly and she was quick. Her shop was also very nice and clean. My small marley twist were done in 4.5 hours and they long amazing. Definitely would recommend her and I will be back.
