Clean, friendly and amazing atmosphere. Had the best sleep and workout after my experience in the sauna and cold plunge. The food and drinks are exactly what you need when you sweat that long

Love this place, love the laid back old school vibes - this ain’t no ladies spa! The kitchen is great and a nice selection of food and drinks. Don’t forget to ask for a frosty mug.

Chicago Sweatlodge remains one of the best places for men in the city to relax, take care of themselves, and feel like they're part of a community if they decide to come often! The cooks, massage therapists and the young men working the front desk are excellent at what they do. The long-time regular customers do a great job of maintaining the camaraderie and welcoming nature of the place. Manager Sasha is nice at times and rude at others. He shouts at staff while they're responding politely to greetings from customers, makes fun of customers while they're close enough to see and hear him (especially those who are not white or who do not appear straight), acts indifferent to customers in the rare event that they're injured onsite, and refuses to make necessary renovations to the place even as the entry fee skyrockets. Then he seems baffled that so many complain about all this. Hopefully, he'll change, but in the meantime the customers and the other staff do the great work required to make Chicago Sweatlodge an amazing place to be all year long.

I used to love coming to this place but it has gone downhill over the past few years. It’s becoming rundown and falling into disrepair. They also used to be well-staffed but now it always seems like they only have a couple of people working at any given time. Last year I complained to management that there were bugs crawling all over the floor. When I visited again over this past weekend there were cockroaches on the floor! It’s really too bad because this place used to be a luxurious oasis but now it’s a shadow of its former self. I hope management turns it around.

It was an absolutely delightful experience! I've long dreamed of finding a proper hot Finnish sauna where you can steam with brooms, and I finally did! The service was excellent, and the amenities were top-notch. Unlimited towels ensured hygiene could be maintained effortlessly, and the strong oak brooms were of great quality. There were several broom backet available, the addition of a water tap inside the sauna was highly convenient. I was pleasantly surprised to find mittens for brooms, a rare feature that enhanced the experience. The dry Finnish steam room maintained a perfect temperature of 110-115 °C, and with a little water sprinkled on the floorboards, the steam became sublime. My friends and I had a fantastic time here, and everyone left thoroughly satisfied. The availability of refreshing kvass on-site was the cherry on top. In short, I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back often!

Update: The prices keep going up, but the quality keeps going down. The facilities seem unkept. Staff has gotten rude. It’s just not the same as it was under the old ownership. I rarely come here anymore and when I do I leave disappointed. What a shame.

I would definitely recommend this. Had a great time there. The food was awesome got a nice steam felt like a detox or something because when I left I felt 100 times better.

It has been awhile since I've been here, and sadly, I have a few disappointments to report that may be a big deal for some. 1) for $40, there really needs to be better maintenance of the facilities. the shower water pressure is basically a drip shower. most of the water temp knobs are broken. shower heads are all dirty, w/ calcium buildup. 2) the back patio has turned into an ash tray.. literally ash trays everywhere, and it has become unusable for those that dont smoke, because it just smells so bad.. not to mention, its illegal to smoke within 15 feet of any entrance/ exit. Owners really need to enforce this as the patio needs to be for ALL people, not just those that smoke. 3) water all over the floor. I remember when there was staff constantly wiping and squeegeeing the floor. what happened to this upkeep? it just seems so understaffed, not taken care of. please get it back together. its nowhere near the quality it was pre covid.

Great sweatlodge. I like to come here to detox and relax. The only bad thing is they don't have more vegan options other than the guacamole and the juices. Come on, yall were in 2024.

Amazing facility. Great food, staff, wet and dry sauna however the cold plunge is never cold. For the last three Sundays the cold plunge was 70 degrees, 68 degrees and 62 degrees. That is not a cold plunge.Water off the tap from the City is colder. Please fix this like your other location Red Square. Other then that there is ample free parking and the staff is always very nice and accommodating. Still a 5 star review!

This place is truly a hidden gem! Simple design but wonderful. Nothing beats a cold plunge after time in one of the two saunas. Give it a shot and you won't regret it! Also, the food is great!
