I went to her a year ago for the “big chop” I was nervous at first to go along with cutting it off , but she was very reassuring and knowledgeable in her work. Forward a year later, here I am again getting a color and trim! I can’t imagine going anywhere else besides here. She is nice, relatable, talented, and offers many different styles and looks. Her shop is very low key, but also clean and quiet! I recommend booking with her Everytime!

Awesome owner and great salon! Does not initially look like a salon but do not let that deter you. Once inside you will be so happy you chose Janice and her team. This salon is excellent. My first impression when walking into the salon is that it is clean, and nobody is waiting. Janice was actually waiting for me. I was hooked at that moment. Janice, her awesome personality, as well as being super friendly was so welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the knowledge that Janice has of black hair. She explained to me how she would cut it, and why. She explained how to care for my hair properly, what to do, what not to do and the role I play in helping my hair. That was awesome and very nice of her to share her tricks. Do you know about the shower cap? I didn't. She discussed with me what I wanted in great detail. I showed her some pictures and then she gave me the most beautiful haircut and style. Something that is missing in this world of weaves and wigs. Thank you Janice for being a "real" hair stylist!

Got a much needed silk press for my wedding day. Janice took such good hair of me and my hair - and i got a lot of hair! She didn’t pull or tug on my hair which a lot of other hair stylists usually do. She was gentle and also worked very fast! Highly recommend Chocolate City and i will be coming back again!!!

The owner was very kind and informative when it came to my hair. I had a lot of damage hair and I walked out cute and confident! I received finger waves and a pin curl. Turned out beautiful. I recommend her to help u grow your hair and to have a good experience. The shop was nice and clean. Well decorated for me I will be going back!

I had an appointment with Janice and everything started on-time. She was very thorough with her work and explained why she did each step. My hair came out great and I was satisfied with my experience. This is the most expensive salon i’ve been to but I was treated well so I don’t mind. Janice is an old-school stylist which I appreciated and I will be going back.
