Chop Shop is the best!! If you want a bright, vivid hair color, go to Gaia! She’s also great with curly hair, and cut my hair into a shag that has transitioned super well into layers for my longer hair now. She 100% takes into account what you want and will also give suggestions to help your hair look/feel better. Thank you Gaia, and the Chop Shop team!!

I have gone to see Mazi here twice now and both times she has done a fabulous job. I really appreciate her attention to detail and consideration of my hair. I have fine, high density, moderate curly hair. Mazi understands how to cut, color, and style it out. I love my asymmetrical pixi cut with its hi-lights and low lights! Thank Mazi!

I went to chop shop after a student at the Aveda school completely butchered my hair. Alexa was able to give me the best short haircut that I would have never had the balls to even consider. This haircut has been pure therapy!!!

Amazing!!!! It was painfully clear by the state of my hair that it had been a HOT minute since I had last visited a Salon, but there was no judgement, everything was explained from start to finish about the process, and how she would take the length off a little at a time until we got to where I wanted it, and LOVED the atmosphere! Could go on and on! 10/10 recommend! Alexa did my cut and was awesome! (And I wish I could give an extra 5 stars to the dog that sat in my lap while my hair was being washed!)

The Chop Shop is simply awesome! The owner Cindy, her staff and its central location are a Knoxville treasure. She's an amazing stylist and just a great person to know. With the aroma of Aveda products, great music and located in an historic building artistically decorated, going to the Chop Shop is a wonderful break in our busy lives. In fact, the Chop Shop was one of the first businesses on that part of North Central Street in the Happy Holler Historic District, which has developed into a fantastic area of shops, bars and restaurants, food co-op, and for just a cool stroll down a historic street. Try it out if you are new to the area or just looking for a unique yet professional hair experience.

I saw Alexa [I'll start by saying she was very nice and made you feel comfortable] BUT please don't go to her needing a cut! I went and needed color,hilights,and a cut. I left and she had blow dryed it and it looked ok ,by the time I got home in 95 degree weather my hair was so heavy, she FORGOT to texturize it,and maybe clipped a piece here or there,I couldn't tell any had been cut! which was fine I just went back, worst mistake I ever made,it's gapped up sooo bad All OVER!!!! she really got me,please just tell ppl you don't know how to cut, your hair is something that women treasure, I have a very important place to be on September 20th and can not afford to have it evened up.I'd be almost bald!! I paid $201.00 including tip

Awesome vibe? Check. Free drink while you wait in a comfy chair? Check. Adorable dog asleep on a nearby couch? Check. Honestly, I could go on and on! It was my first visit today and I was so pleased with my overall experience! Best of all, CindyLou gave me the shag haircut that I was looking for. Can't wait for my next visit! Highly recommend!

This place and people rock! Sooo I messed up scheduling my kid's back to school cut and color online (fyi call them if you need color). The owner Cindylou and her wonderful team worked together to accommodate my daughter and made her dream come true! We love yall!

I have been to the CHOP SHOP HAIR STUDIO 2 times now and both experiences were wonderful. The hair cut and color is always just what I ask for. Gaia is my hairdresser and takes your expectations in consideration while doing your hair. The atmosphere is always perfect. The salon has the most beautiful vibes. Plus they have a Dog.

Amanda has been cutting my hair for over 3 years, since I moved to Knoxville. I’ve always been extremely happy with the quality of her services and the shop over all. The shop has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, easy online appointment selection, extremely clean, and sometimes there’s a basset hound friend to hang out with. I’ve never left disappointed or feeling like I did not get the haircut and style I asked for.

I finally found a stylist that truly has the talent to cut short hair. I had tried at least 4 Knoxville salons - Grow Knoxville and Belleza among just a few; none of the recommended stylists really knew how to cut a short edgy style. I showed a few pictures to Amanda, wanting something 'in between' all three pics - I now have the perfect cut and couldn't be happier! Thanks again Amanda! p.s already had one person ask where I got my hair cut!
