I have nothing but great things to say about Chris. He takes his time to listen to what you want, makes suggestions on how to improve your cut, color or highlights and executes each to precession. My hair is healthier than it has ever been and the highlights are very nature. Highly recommend seeing Chris!

My first cut was late August. Loved a style from a photo, he aced it. I have dry frizzy, salt and pepper hair. Second cut he saw how I style it when I came in. He recognized the thick, flat laying portions of my hair, where it should be layered more and lighter, he then performed an even MORE AMAZING cut the 2nd time. At this point, I was VERY impressed and love my style even more. He then proceeded to send me links of the products he uses for me to purchase for my type of unruly hair. With his talent, he only needs a couple of tools in his arsenal to achieve perfection. Nothing fancy just understanding of hair type and the natural flow of your particular type of hair. I will follow him for cuts everywhere he goes. But as I told him, “he’d better not move or take off without notice.“ lol…definitely a great experience.

I had my first visit with Chris today. I found him on an internet and was intrigued with a comment in his bio that he looks at the whole person before deciding on the best haircut for that individual. Since I was tired of the wrong colors and haircuts, I decided to make an appointment. Chris did my color, cut and balayage. I absolutely love my hair!!!! The color is the best I’ve had in a very long time and the haircut is perfect for me. I feel at least 10 years younger!!! He is also super nice and easy to talk to. I also love that he is not pushing hair products. Thank you Chris! You are a very talented individual.

In my life— of 52 years…. I’ve NEVER had a haircut and color like this. My hair is not easy. It’s very dark, and I want blonde! I wanted a certain style that other hair stylists said was not appropriate for me. Well…. Hands down, Chris is the very best. I’m thrilled , happy , and feel like a new person!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!! I was referred to Chris Maddox by a friend and had my first appointment this past week. It was a terrific experience! Chris spent a significant amount of time asking questions about my hair cut and color as well as haircare and styling habits - to be sure he created a look that works for me and my lifestyle. The results are gorgeous. As an added bonus - he doesn't sell haircare products so he's not encouraging you to use more than you need. In fact, his preferred products are all natural - which I love!

I went to Chris after a very long period away from dying my hair. For context, my natural hair color is a dark, dirty blonde, and I used to have it lightened frequently to bright, beachy blonde through methods like full highlight and balayage. However, I had let all the dyed blonde grow out and had cut it off, so my hair was a clean slate. Several months before going to Chris, I decided I was ready to bring back the blonde and went to a local colorist for some blonde balayage. Although the color came out fine, I felt like she hadn’t listened to what I asked for and didn’t provide the thorough coverage and dimension I asked for; I was underwhelmed. Months later, I went to Chris, deciding to give someone else a shot, and he did not disappoint. Chris has a great deal of experience and natural talent which shows through in his method and techniques. My hair looks gorgeous, is in healthy condition, and is a tapestry of various shades of blonde. I am pleased to have found my hair color home in Greenville and look forward to the next visit.

I went to Chris for the first time, and he immediately put me at ease. We discussed color and cut, and he offered suggestions and insight. I wanted something different from my usual hair, and he definitely delivered. He did a great cut with lots of nice layers. I could have left then and would have been happy, but I also wanted color! Let me tell you. He delivered on the color! We went with a base color that was closer to my natural color and then he hand painted a lighter color on the base. I couldn’t be more thrilled. This new look is easy and perfect!

Love my new haircut by Chris! My sister recommended him after I complemented her hair so I traveled from Hendersonville, NC for my appointment. We talked about my daily routine and he made some suggestions. I was quite nervous as he suggested a drastic cut but 8 I am in love with what he did! Highly recommend!!

Chris was able to give me the hair color I’ve always dreamed of but haven’t been able to achieve with other stylists. His balayage technique gave me the most beautiful multidimensional blonde. The layers he cut allowed me to keep my length while giving me a lot of volume. Chris really listens to what you hope to achieve with your hair and provides the best option to help you reach your hair goals. I couldn’t be happier with the way my hair turned out!
