Beyond grateful to Sydney for her excellent counsel, haircut, color, and luxurious scalp massage. I came in with a 6 month old lightly faded balayage, looking for some shine, new color, healthy trim and just an overall refresh as a Mom to a 1.5 year old who struggled with postpartum hair loss. Sydney encouraged me to go a tad darker than my baseline color and go for a layered hair cut with facial framing and I couldn’t be happier with results— I feel and look transformed! ❤️🥰🙏🏽 If you are a looking for a star hairstylist—Sydney is the best of best in Seattle!

Extremely happy with the services provided by my stylist, Robin, at Chroma Salon! Robin is a true artist with hair color! She also worked her magic with layering my long curly hair! I love my new do & highly recommend her! It's taken me awhile to find someone I can trust with my hair - I'm so glad I found Robin!

I have been seeing Robin for my haircuts for 3 1/2 years now, and she is absolutely amazing! She truly listens to what the customer wants, and is so knowledgeable in recommendations and solutions. She is also an incredibly caring and empathic human being, so you are bound to have great conversations. I don’t even live in Seattle anymore, but I still book an appointment when I’m in town (she is still my stylist - I do not have one where I currently), because her work is THAT good. 20/10 recommend. Go Robin! 😁

I’ve been a regular at this salon, and Sydney is absolutely fantastic! I always leave loving my color and haircut. On one rare occasion, my color wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned, but the team was incredibly accommodating and offered a complimentary color correction next working day, which I really appreciated. My tip would be to bring pictures of the style or color you're aiming for, as it helps ensure everyone’s on the same page. The staff is always so sweet, and the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been seeing Anna for a few years now and she’s great! Always like my haircuts and color :) I have curly hair so sometimes I get nervous when it gets cut it’ll be too short but she understands and never cuts too much off!

I’m adventurous so I opted for a haircut with Abbey who is billed as “new talent.” I shared with her pictures of my previous haircut. She took the time to study the pictures and then gave me a GREAT haircut.

Robin is an actual wizard! She is so attentive and exceeded all of expectations for my first balayage. She was patient to explain everything that was happening and she listened to my wants to a subtle caramel shine. It was so fun to talk with Robin and I couldn’t be happier with my results. I don’t know why I waited this long to color my hair. I’m obsessed! Thank you Robin and Chroma salon! You truly are the best in the biz.

Robin is the only person in Seattle I trust with my hair, I truly cannot recommend her enough. Not only is she the kindest hairdresser I’ve ever had but I get near daily compliments on my haircut! Genuinely the most attentive and compassionate experience, she makes me feel so confident and comfortable. I’m moving to New Orleans in the fall and fully planning on taking annual trips up north to see her <3

I rarely leave reviews but it needs to be known that Robin at Chroma salon is amazing. I have gotten my hair and bangs cut by her about 4 times, this last time I decided to cut off a lot. No matter the haircut I come in looking for Robin is patient, listens and will do everything in her power to make sure you walk away happy. Have already recommended her to my friends.

My hairstylist is Robin and she is fantastic! She has such a calm energy. As a mom of 2 young ones I need all the calmness I can get. She has been cutting a short bob on me for the past year. I highly recommend her!

Terrific salon! All of the stylists are professional, kind and skilled in the art & science, of color and cuts. They really listen to your vision, while adding great ideas for improvement. I always walk out happy after my service with Shawn, but would feel confident with any of the stylists.

The staff is always friendly and upbeat! My Stylist, Cynthia, is a professional and an artist! She knows exactly what she’s doing and takes the most amazing care of my hair. I love the colour she did on my hair. She is absolutely brilliant!

After being a loyal customer of this salon for years, I’m sad and disappointed with how unprofessionally its staff behaved today. Weeks ago, I’d scheduled an appointment with Shawn specifically because he is the highest-leveled stylist at this salon, and I’ve seen his color work during my appointments with my own longtime stylist, Jen, who recently left Chroma. Another stylist at this salon who I tried in the interim expressed quite a bit of stress during the toning process of my hair color, so I specifically had sought out someone with the most experience with Aveda color. However, about one hour before my scheduled appointment today, I suddenly received a new booking email that moved me—without a phone call or any reason provided—to Stormi, a stylist at the lowest level. It would have been very easy to miss this last-minute email and the change of stylist. When I called the salon to understand what happened, the staffer at the phone approached Shawn for an explanation. He said simply that he’s no longer taking new clients. I’m absolutely shocked that he found it acceptable to rebook me with another stylist at the very last minute without asking me, or even communicating with me or providing a explanation. The message this behavior sent was loud and clear, and I’m now searching for a new salon and stylist, sadly.

Fatima is fantastic! Professional, friendly, patient and she did a great job trimming up my bangs. I am so impressed that I will be booking color and blowout services with her with the confidence she will be great with these services. Chroma is lucky to have her!

Highly recommend this place, just show them the picture of what haircut you want and you will get it. They use high quality products, end result is perfect. My hair stylist was Fatima, she is so sweet and polite and she is absolutely great, I got so many compliments on my haircut.

I popped by while roaming around the neighborhood and luckily they had an opening. Head massage during wash was A1 and blow dry was good. My hairstylist was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely returning here.

I would not recommend this salon at all. Received the worst haircut of my life. If you have long hair and want layers, they are not skilled in that area. See photo of the “layers” which are completely uneven with entire chunks of hair missing. Looks like a child did this. They also did not offer a refund for this horrible service. 👎👎

If I could negative stars, I would! Worst customer experience I have ever experienced from any business. I had a hair styling appointment booked for my baby shower (atleast 2-3 weeks in advance) at 1:15 PM. 1. When I called them to make a booking, they put me on hold as their system/computer wasn't working to book a time slot. Then they asked me to do this on my aide. I agreed and made the booking. This is fine, but it did take quite a long time for a simple booking. 2. They called me to confirm the timing and I asked them about the grace period rules and they mentioned it was 15 mins. 3. The day of, I reach there at 1:30 PM or probably even 1:29 PM to be exact. And they spent 10 mins arguing with me that I was late and that they cannot do my hair anymore. In my head I am thinking: a) if you have a grace period, why wouldn't you entertain that? And if this is not possible, then simply change your policy for better transparency to the customer. So that we can plan accordingly b) I told them I was pregnant, but still within the timeframe rules they had set. They showed 0 empathy. They are like "we don't care that you are pregnant". I have never had ANYONE ever say that to me. c) I was the only brown person there and felt like they were just being racist and didn't want to do their job. Instead of arguing for so long, they could have simply done my hair. And this doesn't account for the time I had to wait on hold for booking. They can make me wait, but if I visit within their provided grace period, that's a problem? I would NOT recommend anyone visit this salon ever!!

If you’re in the market for a change Shawn @ Chroma in Queen Anne is your guy!! I have been with Aveda Salons since 2002, every state I have lived I always chose Aveda. I won’t go anywhere else and am fiercely loyal to my stylist! I moved to Washington in 2017 and flew back and forth to Colorado Springs to get my hair cut until I found Chroma and Shawn. I have been seeing Shawn since 2018! I love him so much, that I’ve followed him from Edmonds to Queen Anne (90 min drive from my house). I wear an inverted aline cut and he does a fabulous job. THANKS SHAWN!

0 out of 10 on their hair coloring technique and service, I do not recommend. I went in for a balayage, instead they gave my zebra stripes; went back 3 times to get it repaired and they still did a very poor job. Despite that, I scheduled a haircut appointment for 3 months later, only to discover on the day when I show up that they had cancelled it without notifying me. Very disappointing.

Before I was even able to see them, my appointment was deleted. Not only was it deleted, I received no notice that it was deleted. And before anyone says there was a miscommunication….I have the email confirming the appointment. This is very frustrating, I “was “ choosing this salon based on reviews. Coming from Federal Way is a distance to find out the appointment doesn’t exist. Thank goodness I have enough common sense to double check my appointment. How do you even stay in business? I hope you better train the staff to communicate clearly …even if you don’t want to see someone and delete their appointment without consent. This is RIDICULOUS! poor communication and lack of care!

I love Chroma Aveda in Queen Anne! I've been seeing Nicole for my hair for about 3 years now and am so grateful for her! :) She is so kind and thoughtful and does the most amazing balayage and I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone! Robin is also absolutely amazing -- she did my pre-wedding hair and is just the sweetest! I's truly the wonderful stylists at Chroma that make it such a great place and the reason I continue to come back :).

I moved to this location to follow my stylist. Friendly atmosphere. The neighborhood is great with places to wait if you get there early or want to grab something after you are done. Of course I love my stylist, Shawn.

I’ve been going to Nicole to get my hair done for 3.5 years now and I absolutely love her! She’s an amazing colorist and color corrector genius. I originally came in after a bad foilage experience and she spent 11+ hours with me over two days doing a correction that turned out incredibly well. Needless to say, she was my gal from there on forward. She’s now done balayage, all over bleach from a balayage, and most recently a beautiful soft pink for me over the years. I can’t recommend her enough! She really takes the time to listen to everything you want and explains the whole process, which I love.

Robin at Chroma is amazing! She fixed a horrible haircut I had from another salon a couple of years ago and I haven’t seen anyone else since. She understands exactly what’s going to work best for my square face shape, fine hair texture, and cowlick right on top of my head. I have straight hair but referred my friend to her and Robin was able to make her hair go from loose, weighed down curls to bouncy and full. She’s always intentional about how the cut will grow out, which is so appreciated. Robin is also excited to try new cuts, and when I told her I wanted to go for a big chop, she actually did a little happy dance! She’s the sweetest and will take great care of you.

Went to Chroma because I followed my hairstylist Jaimei. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Jaimei and was given a tea, that was very soothing. Before starting services, I got to relax by enjoying the fragrance of the oils before having a scalp massage. The products that was used was very subtle in scent and it made my hair feel so light. I not only got the best colorist / hairstylist, but also got to experience a warm and welcoming environment. I will be returning for future services. Anyone looking for a stylist, ask for Jaimei.
