Jack is truly a professional hairstylist. Every time my wife goes there, she gets exactly what she wants. You can take a photo to him and he will make your hair look like that. Pricing is reasonable. Very courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Jack did an amazing job on my husband hair cut. My husband has thick Asian hair that grows out to the side, not flat. Jack was meticulous and thinned the back of his hair perfectly while achieving waves on the top and side. So happy with the haircut!

I was just there last Tuesday and Jack gave me the haircut I’ve been looking for! He’s very tedious and made sure I liked my hair before I walked out. I asked for side bangs and lots of long layers. I’m pretty happy with it :) He knows his stuff! 💇🏻‍♀️

Jack Huang was absolutely amazing. I loved the cut. I was worried about my weird mix of asiatic and latino hair that sticks straight out when cut short, but he handled it so amazingly well. Especially since I went from very long mid back length hair to very very short. I asked for a textured fringe with a fade on the sides and he delivered completely. Definitely going to be coming again.

Jack KNOWS hair. A hair artist who knows his craft. He shapes, trims, and styles like a true chef— professional, meticulous, precise, and aims for quality. He hails from NYC so he’s got this straightforward english and faint swagger. Location is in a dorm-like building with many other barbers/stylists in each room. They have no assistants so they make the reservations, themselves.

When you come here, you’re coming for Jack. *He’s amazing at his craft, and if you tell him exactly what you want, he will either be upfront and honest with you, or do it exactly as you have requested. I highly recommend him for anyone with Asian hair especially. I have had many salons in the past that majorly ruined my hair by misunderstanding my hair type. But here at Jacks place, he will make sure you get what you asked for! I wanted a hair dye alternative that doesn’t deal with bleaching, and requested for something close to the realm of maple. And he majorly gave me the best hair cut and dye yet! (I also got my eyebrows dyed as well!) for Indoor lighting it’s a pretty chestnut/auburn color, but in the light it’s maple, iphone pictures just doesn’t do it justice at all and downplays the colors, because the hair color irl really pops! and I love it!! He also fixed my botched DIY bangs. I have no idea how he does it but he is truly a hair magician!

Definitely recommend for Asian haircuts! After failing to shape my own bangs, I scheduled with Jack, and he worked his magic! I love the way my hair looks! Jack is not only very detailed with his work, but he also listened to my requests and asked questions to confirm my requests.

I made an appointment for a Saturday 1:30 haircut three days ago, but today I'm not sure if I can make it to the 1:30 appointment for some reason, so I called the business to ask if I can be 10 minutes late or is there a room at 2:00? The person on the phone said in a very impatient tone "No our appointments are full!" ok I can understand your appointments are full so I said I'll ask my husband if he can drive faster for me arrived. But the answer the staff gave me directly was, "Don't ask, just cancel your appointment!" I asked politely throughout the whole process, but I don't know why the boss answered in such an impatient tone. Because business is so full? Maybe he's not short of business at all. I won't go to their barbershop again nor recommend it to my friends. A very bad experience!

Jack is amazing! I’ve been getting my haircuts and japanese straight perm touch-ups done by him for 5 years now, and he always does an incredible job. He is super nice and very talented. I highly recommend his salon!!

VERY VERY RUDE here. I called to ask if Opti smooth was compatible with Japanese straightening and the receptionist hung up on me and wouldn’t answer my call because I couldn’t understand his English and asked if I could speak to someone else. Very touchy, can only imagine how they treat their clients.

I called three times during regular hours wanting to setup an appointment, no one answered, so I figured he might be busy and I decided to send a text instead. I sent a very polite text asking whether he has availability during a certain time, 2 hours passed, and I get a text just says "no". Literally, just "no". This is utterly rude and unacceptable, and I'm not sure how he gets this high of a review providing such poor customer service. Maybe because I mentioned in the text I am a guy, so he thought there is no profit in my cut comparing to a girl's cut and coloring, and decide to treat me differently, not too sure, but would not recommend to anyone.

The hairstylist i had was great! Jack listened to my concerns and what I wanted. Previously I cut my hair myself which made my hair look boxy, full towards the front of my face and the nape of my head. Jack added a beautiful frame to my face and took off some weight towards my nape area. Now I feel free and for some reason my face looks thinner. I am going to rock this haircut for a while!

Jack is the best hair dresser I've ever had. He's meticulous. He takes his time. He makes sure every layer is perfectly even and not to mention his work on high light and color. I stepped out with perfect full high lights and no single strand of white hair. I recommend jack wholeheartedly.

Writing this review on behalf of my mom who recently visited Jack for a cut and color service. Jack has a unique attention to detail which resulted in exceeding my mom’s expectations. He replicated the cut and color of a picture that my mom showed and he had no hesitation in being able to execute. You know a good hair stylist by the way they cut and use their hands/tools...it’s just that special feeling you get. My mom highly recommends Jack, and will definitely be a regular customer.
