I love the idea of this spa but I think it’s too expensive for what it is offered. $35 for only 45 minutes is in my opinion too steep of a price. I can go to other spas in Seattle and pay $50 for 3 hours. They may not be as private, but the cost is worth it to me for how much more time you get. If the price was $15-$20 then I think it would be fair and I would be so much more inclined to go more frequently and pop in for a quick session.

I would highly recommend City Sweats Wallingford. I have been dealing with a mold-related illness and using infrared sauna to detox. The infrared sauna experience has been so healing for my mind and body. The facilities are clean and the staff are kind and welcoming. I also appreciate the calm, quiet atmosphere. The perfect place for healing!

It was a lovely environment and the facilities were nice. I needed to relax and calm my mind and it was very easy to. The end of my stay was ruined when 2 ladies were talking very loudly, with one seeming like they were an employee there (hence the 3 stars). The things they were saying were also especially irking but that is a personal opinion. Please maintain the peaceful and quiet ambience and I’ll be happy to return again.

I’ve always wanted to try City Sweats and with the weather taking a frosty turn, it felt like the perfect excuse to check out their Wallingford location. Plus, their $35 introductory special for a 60-minute infrared sauna session sealed the deal. The customer service was top-notch! (Shoutout to the guy at the front desk whose name I forgot—sorry! You were awesome, though!) He even offered us complimentary wellness shots before our session. We chose the turmeric shot for joint and inflammation relief. The facility itself is beautiful, and if you’re going with someone else—or just want to starfish out—I highly recommend getting a larger sauna cabin. My husband and I booked one that seats up to seven people, which meant we could lie down and fully relax. Trust me, once the sweat starts pouring, you’ll appreciate the extra room. Bonus: our sauna had Bluetooth capabilities, so you can curate your own sweaty soundtrack. Just don’t forget to bring a lot of water—or better yet, bring a water bottle to fill up on their alkaline ph balanced filtered water. You’ll need it! The cabins have cool light therapy options, too, which supposedly offer different health benefits. The setup is unique: your sauna is inside what feels like a private fabric-walled tent. It's cozy and strangely zen. After our session, we got to chill out in the relaxation room. Imagine walking barefoot on cool soft white sand in your own little curtained nook, sipping cold tea, and munching on a tangerine. Best way to cool down after sweating buckets. All in all, this place nailed the art of relaxation. I’ll definitely be back this winter and highly recommend checking it out.

As someone who worked here I have to say this place is great in many aspects but so horrible in others. I dealt personally with the owners and had a hand in up-starting and essentially running the Wallingford location at the big age of 17. I was constantly on the phone with sauna reps fixing the saunas and equipment myself as the “receptionist”. Forced to commute to do laundry on my own dime by the owners, and constantly asked to go above and beyond for less than minimum wage. I was put in dangerous situations being on my own in the store and pressured by management to do things I found extremely questionable. I LOVE spas, and truly believed this place could be great but after so many years and processing the managerial abuse I went through with this place, I am appalled it still has almost a 5 star rating in the area. Please go anywhere else for your services but here. The way they treated me with absolutely no repercussions is despicable. I know people want to support small businesses but this is not the one to give your money to. The massage therapists and estheticians deserve all the praise but the management needs to be sued and if they continue their predatory practices they might be.

Not worth it to me. Cute place but disappointed in lymphatic massage machine. They try to take my money and added their own tip. They still owe me my money stating their credit card machine was broken. DO NOT GO THERE U WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I honestly want my money back. I wasn't supposed to be charged! I went there to support a black owned business.

I went here with a friend of mine and it was probably the BEST experience I’ve had since I moved to Seattle 4 years ago. The ambiance is so peaceful and the temperature of the sauna was perfect for a good sweat. We had to remove our shoes before entering the sauna cabin area which made me feel comfortable and that they kept the place clean. Before you enter, you can choose to purchase a “shot” of a juice, which carries various health benefits. I opted for the one with cayenne, which guarantees a detoxifying sweat. They also offer refreshing 9.5pH water at anytime during your session, and after a good sweat, you can shower in the private shower area. There’s also a recovery area in the back with candles and sand on the floor and beautiful art on the walls you can gaze at as you daydream. Highly highly recommended to refresh yourself from work or battling Seattle traffic!

This place is great once you know how to book and use the system. Certain cabins are smaller, larger, hotter, and cooler so the wonderful front desk staff can help you find the right fit. The app makes it easy to book online and see last minute appointment availability. The sauna time is limited to 45 minutes, but you can spend as much time in the relaxation room as needed. They discontinued the free wellness shot; these are about $5 now. They have free refills of freshly filtered alkaline water and showers at the end for your convenience. I find it quite relaxing so got the unlimited membership for a minimum of 3 months to try out. I haven't done the cold plunge or massage yet.

This is such a conflictive review, the experience was great until the very end I went in the showers to wrap up my plunge/sauna experience then I saw blood stains on the bathroom shower rug, I mentioned it to the lady at check out she said she highly doubted it was that but that she would check it out and continued to check me out. As I waited outside for my ride she came out and apologized and said she saw it and that it was gross. I was the first appointment of the day so not sure if the night staff fell short here, but it made me question the cleanliness of the place sadly 😔

THE most mismanaged business I’ve ever had the displeasure of buying services from. First, was swindled into a 3 month membership, because no one advised me that signing up requires a commitment of 3 months. It’s now been 2 months of double billing and even an extra surprise $50 charge just showed up on my account out of the blue. They wanted to charge me for my 2 appointments in my last month of membership because none of their systems accurately showed my account. In 2 months of complaints and trying to get refunds for the double charges, still no resolution. Not to mention that the actual saunas are always broken - broken door, lighting doesn’t work, varied temperatures. I don’t write reviews (good or bad) but the mismanagement of my account and lack of communication or resolution on my TERRIBLE experience has been astounding. I would NOT in a million years recommend this place. 0/10 experience.

Eucalyptus frozen towel at the end of sauna service, friendly multicultural staff, clean and aesthetically beautiful, lovely music. Only thing is sauna didn't go up to 175 mine stayed at a 150-153 the entire duration, when I turned it higher. The orange and cold tea at the end was a cherry on top! Nonetheless, a fantastic experience, will go again and recommend to anyone.

City Sweats is where I go to unplug. It's an Oasis in the middle of the City. Right when you walk in, you can feel the calm. They offer you a variety of different wellness shots, everyone speaks in a whisper, and they have a ton of different services to choose from. I've had the best deep tissue massage there and have frequently booked an infrared cabin with friends. Not to mention, they have a sand room where you can go after your infrared session or treatment where a cup of tea and orange slice is waiting with your name. It is the best cherry on top after such a peaceful experience. I will sit there for quite some time before headed towards the shower to wrap up my appointment. I highly recommend City Sweats if you need a day to reset or just want to invest in self-care on a more regular basis.

Terrible! The sauna was not even that hot and when I asked them to adjust the temperature they did not and when asked for some refund or discount because inadequate temperatures I was told 120f is enough and refused. never going to this place again
