Clean, relaxing environment. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. A great spot for good vibes. I also love the infused tonics/water!

Had an amazing massage with Efrain yesterday and plan to go back regularly. What a skilled masseuse.

The front desk staff was really personable and kind, I felt cared for when I was there. Efrain was a breath of fresh air. I had a full brainstorming session while relaxing and working on some pain that he made go away. A beautiful soul. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Whoever was working front desk between 3-4:30pm on 12/28/24 should be fired. We arrived to our appointment on time at 3pm. This was our first time here so she gave us an explanation of everything and offered us a tonic shot. She then walked us back to our sauna and explained how everything works back there, let us know that once we change and get into the sauna, that we could start the timer which was set for 48mins. Her whole intro for this took about 10-15mins. Once we were done with our sauna time, my partner went into the shower first because of course I’m assuming that they wouldn’t want us showering together. Once he got out and I was about to go in, the front desk person tells me that I can’t shower because we took too long. Imagine sweating for almost an hour and being told that you can’t shower AT ALL before going home. Im not sure what imaginary timer we were on that we supposedly went over. She did not communicate with us at all that we had to be done with the shower and beach time at a certain time. The only time constriction that was communicated to us was the sauna timer. When we went up to the counter to pay, I expressed that my experience had been ruined because she didn’t let me shower and she said “I’m sorry but you two took too long” blaming us for her lack of communication. I let her know it would’ve been helpful to have told us that we were running short on time if that was the case. It’s our first time here so how are we supposed to know that we had to be all the way done with everything by a certain time.. and to cause your customer not shower instead of giving them a heads up is not acceptable. It’s a spa, no one is trying to be rushed when they are supposed to be relaxing. If you would like your customer to be out the door by a certain time, TELL THEM THAT. We also didn’t even get time to hangout at the beach because we “took too long” on this imaginary time limit that was not shared with us. She then tried to blame us again and say that we arrived late. I checked the time when we had gotten there and we were exactly on time at 3pm so the fact that she tried to lie and blame us even more was baffling. If they had wanted us to arrive 15-10min early to give time for the intro and explanation of everything, then they should let their customers know at the time of booking. How are we supposed to know that it will take that long to get started? Overall this person was not communicative, dismissive, and passive aggressive. Everything that Seattle racism is known for. We tried this place out because it’s black owned and want to support minority owned businesses, but the way that they train their staff and run things needs restructuring if they even care about making their minority crowds feel welcomed. I can’t remember the last time I was treated like this in Seattle, like we aren’t welcomed and don’t belong. If their goal was to not have us come back, then they succeeded. I was having a perfectly fine day and left this placed in a terrible mood. And don’t try reaching out offering me a discount for my next visit to make it right because I’m not going back.

City Sweats is great....when they abide by their appointments. My wife has (had) a monthly massage membership, but that doesn't mean much when three out of the last four appointments have been cancelled the morning of, including this morning when an email was sent to her at 9 am cancelling a 10 am massage appointment. The onus then was then put on her to reschedule and figure out how to get the massage she had already paid for. Repeated last minutes cancellations, scheduling difficulties, and now an inability on the part of the workers to actually process refunds (because, again, she has ALREADY paid for the massage that never happened) caused us to lose all faith in City Sweats. Very unprofessional, very rude, very bad business practices.

This is one of my favorite locations of City Sweats with a variety of well-being offerings. I had the best massage there today and loved the sitting area in the back to relax. They also have cute merch to bring the vibe home. I can’t wait for my next visit.

I had a lovely time here using the infrared sauna. It’s nice to have a little space to myself where I could sauna naked and come outside the sauna to cool off when needed. The 40– 50 minutes Is perfect for this type of activity. I even left a little early before I went and took a great mineral shower. The little beach at the West Seattle location is a really nice place to relax and decompress. The only weird thing was the tonic shots were presented as included in the price or free and at the end I noticed the $10 for the two tonic shots on my bill. They were weak and very small and I would’ve passed on them as I had already taken tonic shots from the Whole Foods around the corner.

So welcoming! Sometimes wellness spaces can feel intimidating, but I felt taken care of not just by the treatment but by the kindness shown during my orientation to the space and experience.

Soothing and safe environment. Kind and attentive staff. I booked the sauna and loved it. Aroma therapy offering on my way into my private sauna, cold face cloth in the petite fridge, towels and complimentary chilled tea and mandarin in the relaxing sand room. Treat yourself and someone you love to this immaculate piece of heaven right here in West Seattle! I've already booked my next appointment!

I usually stop after I go scuba diving at Alki Beach to warm up and recover. You can park in the garage or on the street. It’s easy to find and very accessible. It’s located close to shops and restaurant as well. As you’re greeted by the pleasant staff, you’re already starting to feel relaxed. The rooms are all private and the atmosphere is very quiet and welcoming. You can also reserve a luxury room and relax in a larger room for multiple people. Showers are available outside of the therapy rooms and it’s a mineralized shower! Excellent shampoo and conditioner available with face wipes too! Afterwards, there is a room with white beach sand where you can lounge in candle light with herbal tea. If you need a little ocean vibe in quietness, this place is it. You feel refreshed and recovered from daily fatigue. I definitely recommend this place. Just give it a chance! Cheers!

I thought everything was top notch. Except when I was charged for water. Maybe I should have asked. I was first asked if I wanted one of the free infusion shots... So I assumed water would be free. 5.50 for plain water. Everything about this place is great and clean. The staff is great. At 50.00 @ pop (not including water) or 10.00 suggested tip) it will be an indulgence for me not a regular recurrence. If you can afford it.... It is great.

Charged a card I’m not associated with. Without calling? I “missed” my appointment though I canceled through the app and they charged a random card. Not okay.

I absolutely LOVE city sweats West Seattle. I highly recommend that you check it out! My favorite is doing the ultimate detox package-it saves you some money and you get to experience the sauna and the lymphatic drainage machine. You will leave feeling so relaxed!

I loved my experience! I've never experienced self-care like this before, but I'm glad I took a chance on them. I did the infrared sauna wrap and I will definitely be coming back. I was able to pick the movie I wanted and was offered a cold tower 10 minutes before the session was over. The space is super cute and very clean. The team is super friendly and provides a great experience.

I had such am amazing relaxing experience at City Sweat, I booked the infrared sauna and upon arrival was offered a mineral tonic shot and towels and guided to the sauna room. After my session, I was lead to a relaxation room with sand and lit candles, I was offered fruit with some tea and a journal to write on if called to. I felt very welcomed and recommend City Sweats to anyone who needs a calm environment to feel grounded amongst this chaotic world.

Really relaxing and really good for you. Convenient location in the junction though Google maps were a little off on walking directions. Very private. The big saunas are nice to lay in and they have showers for after if you’d like. Would visit again and may even get a membership after I try the other sauna location on California and compare. Only downsides: I couldn’t get the Bluetooth to work in the hut to put on nature sounds haha, the shot things don’t have much taste. Go in 5-10 mins early the first time, paperwork takes a bit

Very pleasant experience. I came in thanks to Caroline who was letting us know that this was just down the street from my building. I've enjoyed every time I've come in. Staff is professional and courteous. The large room is really nice to book if you are planning on doing this with a +1. The sand room you get to enjoy a tea after is so calming! I'm not sure if it is intended but the beach mural/painting resembles the beach on Alki with the little lighthouse. It would make sense of it is. Highly suggest this place! I've done the infrared sauna wrap as well as the infrared rooms and I think I prefer the rooms as I get to sweat off much more.

I had an amazing first experience! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I got a tour and a little tutorial for the cabin so I was free to relax. I got tea, a wellness shot, and an orange after my sweat. They do such a great job of creating a relaxing vibe from start to finish. Really great service all around, totally worth it. Definitely will come again.

Great place for a detox and to turn off. Especially now since all the hot yoga and gyms are shut down. Very clean facility and the staff is friendly. The complimentary ionized filtered ph water is a nice perk too.

Was very excited to go in and try it out! However the lady wasn’t wearing a mask when I came in and didn’t take my temperature with the radar gun.. so that threw me off a bit and was a bit concerning. A friend gave me a 15 dollar off coupon so I thought I’d try it, ended up doing the infrared wrap and it wasn’t a pleasant experience, I came home with burns all over my body and it’s been aching for almost a week now. The temperature was set wayyy too high and I insisted them to turn it down but the young girl who was supposed to be helping me at the time told me that’s how it feels. So I stuck with it, she told me it would be about 30 minutes but it ended up being 50.. I was dying by the time I got out and very lightheaded almost fainted. Since then I’ve been stuck at home with these skin burns and I would NOT recommend anyone go to these so called therapy “professionals”. Wasted my 55 dollars and came out hurting more than when I went in. They’ll never be seeing me or anyone I know ever again
