Got a haircut here since I’m away from my usual barber for an extended period. I showed a picture and felt like I specifically explained what I wanted. Didn’t get remotely close to it. My hair is the shortest it’s been in ten years and I didn’t want it to be that short today. If i was misunderstood or wasn’t clear, I wish I was asked for clarification or that the barber told/showed me what he was thinking to do before he did it. I couldn’t get a word out before I realized how far he had gone up with the razor. Positives were the haircut looks good, just isn’t my style, doesn’t suit me, and wasn’t what I asked for. Attention to detail was good as well and the barber was really nice. Hate to leave a negative review since he was nice.

Hands down the chilliest barbershop in town! Was out looking for a barber and came across this place! When I got there they was a barber outside with his dog and he said he could take me in just a few! Make a long story short I’m a customer for as long as he is around! All the barbers there and atmosphere is just like the old barbershops like when I was growing up! Just a good place! The barbers name is Ken and he is as on point as you can get 100% tightest fade I’ve had in years! I highly recommend him or any barber at this place! You won’t be disappointed!

Without a doubt, best place to get your haircut in Lex. I’ve been going here for years and have always been thrilled with my fresh cut. Cannot say enough good things about City Taper Barber Lounge. Super friendly staff with a ton of experience. Do yourself a favor and go check them out.

City Taper Barber Lounge is a class act! It's currently an appointment only shop with a slew of talented barbers. I've been fortunate enough to have had my hair cut by Chris Corey Jeter for over 15 years, but would trust any of the barbers in there for a cut. They are professional, timely, easy going, funny and highly skilled at their craft. There are not many barbers these days able to accomplish 10/10 hair cuts on different textures. Never ceases to amaze me when showing up or leaving my appointment, the diversity of his clientele. The newly renovated business is a beautiful space as well, which adds to the experience. Great guys, amazing barbers and fantastic shop! Make an appointment and see for yourself!

Hands-down best barber shop in town. All barbers are great, but Chris Corey is the OG. I take my kids here too. They’re very particular about their hair and they don’t want go anywhere else now because of how fresh they look after a cut here. Beard trim is old school and amazing too.

I'm from our of town and needed my haircut for my wedding. Wow did they do a good job, phill cut my hair and did great took the time to listen and did what I needed. Great easy conversations and frankly just a pleasant experience. Reason these guys are top rated. Thank you!

Fantastic experience at this barbers. I had Phil as my barber today and he done a brilliant job on my undercut and beard. Excellent service and brilliant banter with the whole shop joining in with conversation topics. We'll have to discuss further on the banana eating contest! 🤣 Good prices, this coming from an east Londoner visiting from the United Kingdom Go here, relax and enjoy your haircut. Just as it should be.

Highly recommend this place. Gregory was excellent. He did a great job with the haircut and we had a nice conversation. Watching all the barbers you can tell everyone here is highly skilled and takes pride in their work. Proper high quality barbershop experience.

Ken hooked me up as always and the environment is very chill and laid back. I like this place a lot more than the last spot.
