This is my 2nd time going to this salon, I got my hair silk press Dec 30 I decided to wash my silk press out Jan 25 because my hair was no longer silky when I did so I noticed I now have heat damage in some parts of my hair. My hair is thick and started to grow longer now I have heat damage and have to cut the pieces of my hair that is damage I’m honestly upset. Stay away from salons like this one if you are afraid of heat damage !

I have gone for a wash and set several times with no disappointments but I wanted something different for a special occasion and decided to go with them. I asked for a double process, (bleaching), and two different colors, a trim, deep conditioning, wash and set and I received exactly that. The staff was personable while remaining professional and efficiently effective with the task. Plus I wasn’t there all day lol. Had a great experience with my services and it’s been almost a year, there was no breakage and the color stayed vibrant.

I visited a month or so ago, i dont get my hair straightened. My curls have never been the same, i tried to wait it out before reviewing, but they have HAD to put texturizer or something in my hair.

This was the best service I ever received from a Dominican salon. Went on thanksgiving morning and they were excellent. The shampoo lady was very thorough in washing and making sure my hair didn’t tangle. Her scalp massage was amazing too but she really helped detox my scalp and deep conditioned my hair. The blowout was painless. No yanks or burning. My hair was so shiny and straight. I loved the service and I let management know that and was grateful for a discount extended. Definitely will be going back.

I love it here!! I’ve sent all my cousins here.. They’re always quick and handle with tender-care. My hair is also so healthy with the products they use in my hair. Yes they are highly recommended 🤍

My hair is 4c but not difficult at all to manage. I typically have one hairstylist that go to but I was in New York and I needed my hair done for an event. My hair is long (mid back) - after they were done I noticed that my hair was way too straight but I didn’t think too much about it. One month later I am back with my main stylist and there’s this PUNGENT chemical smell in my hair and it’s BEEN RELAXED without my knowledge or consent! I worked so hard to keep my hair natural and healthy and now it’s damaged. This negligence has caused significant harm to my hair, and I anticipate it will require numerous treatments in the future to mitigate the damage. As someone who values their hair and its health, this experience has been distressing and disheartening. Furthermore, I found the customer service to be lacking in professionalism and attentiveness. Despite voicing my concerns, they were not adequately addressed, exacerbating the situation.

My sister went in for a wash and blow and now her hair is damaged due to it being washed with some type of relaxer chemical. When confronted about it, they denied everything!

NATURAL HAIR GIRLS BEWARE! CHECK THEIR YELP REVIEWS!! They will apply relaxer to your hair without consent! Leaving your hair broken and curls destroyed. They have been reported to the NY State Board for this behavior. Please be careful if you are a person with kinky or tightly curled hair. Unfortunately these salons are known for applying relaxers to women of color (google it, it’s beyond disgusting but common). Devastated….

Clara is terrible. Her “policies” are disingenuous and horrendous. She forced another woman and I to pay before getting our hair done, and genuinely did a terrible job alongside the terrible wait times. She doesn’t give refunds so no matter how badly she does your hair, you’re not getting your money back. Disgusting.

They open at 8am but you only can get ur hair washed then you have to wait for the other lady’s to come in at 9am to finish your hair don’t waste your time being there for 8am the hours listed say 8am-7pm

Went there with my 8 year daughter for a treat to ourselves since I already do both of our hair. I asked for a roller set & the owner Clara seemed like she knew what I wanted and agreed. After we got our hair washed she tells me bc my hair is 4c that it won’t be straight and said she told me that prior & that’s false bc I would have said NO. Our hair is 4c but not rough or hard to manage. It’s actually very soft after conditioning. I was aggravated & our hair was already wet so we went ahead with what she insisted which was a blow out. Why did I agree to that! Not only were we smelling like burnt chicken afterwards, our hair was too straight with no body. Both myself and my daughter’s hair is falling out in chunks weeks later. We both had thick luxurious hair and now we look like skinned and thinned out bald eagles. I wish I could sue this salon for the damage they have done to our hair. Don’t go!!!!
