Went to Maria Luna. She did a great job! I got a trim and a wash. She was so friendly and has a great eye for detail.

Was not happy with my hair after I left here. The experience was fine and everyone was friendly but the lady cutting my hair asked me the length and I said 2 inches off. She shows me 2 inches and I give the ok. She then proceeds to cut off 6 inches. I have events to go to and am embarrassed of my hair. This is not the results I expected especially with such good service and reasonable prices.

Will never go to a different salon again! - Christina cut my hair for the first time today and its the first time i have been able to leave a salon with full trust in my hair stylist. She listened and understood just the look I was going for and I was in and out in less than an hour. Thank you so much Christina for giving me my hair of my dreams, ive truly never been happier with a haircut than I am today!

I've been getting my haircut from Christina for a very long time (5+ years) and she is always very attentive to new changes I want with my hair. This time, I wanted to do something different with my usual shag haircut and add more shorter layers to accentuate my length. I wanted to keep my bangs almost the same length but remove some of the bulk. I had a reference picture and we walked through what I liked about the haircut and she understood what I wanted done. She totally delivered!! The level of detail in this haircut is great and I have the texture I was looking for. (-:

If you want a simple, fairly-priced women's haircut in Chicago, this is precisely where you should go. $34 for a wash and shampoo ($40 if you get a blowout) plus tip is the best price I've found for a quick, straightforward, expert and professional service in the city. They take walk-ins and I was in and out in thirty minutes. (Given their professionalism and reading other reviews, I'm sure they can handle complex hair services as well. But if you, like me, are not picky and are just looking to not pay $80 to get your unwieldy keratin strands evenly chopped off, this is definitely the place to go. They'll listen to what you want and won't try to upsell you balayage or something.) Furthermore, Christina is fantastic. I didn't get the blowout so she didn't get to see how my hair looked when it dried. I'm mostly writing this review to say it looks great, that she did a fantastic job, and that I'll be back someday.

Typically I go to Angie. Shes on maternity leave. I let a new stylist do my hair. I told her i wanted face framing layers consistent with what I already had. She framed the entire head. She thinned out my hair. I usually have a thick volume throughout my head, now my hair is thin and flat, even after a blow out with curls. Then she blamed me and said it was my fault because i asked for face framing layers. Also the curls are barely there! She used the blow dryer to give me waves after I told her I wanted big volume and big curls. She tried with a curling iron after but it didn't do much. Crying in my car if you need me!

They made an appointment for me with Christina Alexandra, so, after reading the great reviews about her, I was definitely looking forward to getting a great haircut. The reviews were right: Christina is a true professional in her field--my haircut is the best one I've had in a very long time. I highly recommend Christina for a great do. Fantastic experience all around here.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this haircut!!! I just wanted a simple cut so thought I would try this out since it is so affordable. I ended up getting one of the best cuts I’ve gotten in a while. I highly recommend Petra, she did a wonderful job.

MARIA LUNA IS THE BEST!!! I've been going to this salon since 2019 when it was Hair Cuttery. Alonso started it as new owner CLARK STREET CUTS after COVID-19 pandemic. He has been wonderful working with me on phone needing to both schedule & reschedule my appointments. MARIA LUNA HAS AN EXCEPTIONAL cosmetologist skill, gift, memory & personality! I am extremely fussy who I choose to cut my hair, even though I often through on a fast baseball cap🤣lol. When I first went there 2019, I had not gotten my hair cut for over a year. ALWAYS for almost 40 years having a short over ears hair style. I showed Maria a pic on cell from past that I wanted & she was able to duplicate it EXACTLY, yes cutting off several inches. Since my original 2019 cut MARIA LUNA has an unbelievable memory, I tend to wait too long to get a hair cut always going to Maria preferring sticking to 1 great same hair stylist! I've learned feeling 100% comfortable that I don't even need to show Maria my past hair style pics as SHE REMEMBERS IT WHAT I WANT, HELLO CUTTING MY HAIR EXACTLY AS IN PAST! Ok, so I guess I'm aging myself🤣 but hey at almost 61 yo, my short hair style which is NOT outdated, if it works it works! PETRA IS ALSO A GREAT STYLIST that I had many years ago, but repeating sticking to 1 stylist for me is best! I believe from reading google reviews & from my own past experiences that ALL OF THE STYLISTS AT 💇‍♀️CLARK STREET CUTS🚦5539 N CLARK ST. 60640 are top of the line & good luck finding any better!🤣 It ALWAYS has been a very warm & comfortable salon go to, never stuffy nor any snobby staff, always feeling welcomed!😊 R🌹

I am so picky about my hair and used to let it go a full year (or more) before getting a cut because it stresses me out. I've had my hair cut and styled at Clark St. Cuts twice now, by two different technicians, and both times were so great! They really listened to what I wanted and communicated the whole time to make sure we were on the same page. So happy to have found a reliable salon in my neighborhood! For reference, I am a Latina and my hair is long, very full, but also fine and wavy. I've never had a style before where I can just wash and go, but now I do! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Maria Luna is the best! Always a great experience and a great cut. She did my hair and both moms hair for my wedding last summer and I'm so happy she was with us for the day. I have been going to her for at least a few years now and will continue to do so!

Woah.. coming in today for a $39 haircut+blowdry I wasn’t expecting anything special but Christina exceeded my expectations! I always dread going to the hairdresser because I feel I don’t get what I want but Christina changed my mind. She gave me the best haircut of my life, and I will definitely be coming back!!

"Clark St. Cuts" is located in the space accupied by former " Hair cuttery". It has some of the same people who worked here with the other salon. The stylists are awesome and caring. They keep the place covid clean in-between appointments. I love Maria luna who has been my stylist for the past 7 years.

Made an appointment with Angie Perez. She canceled the appointment and suggested someone that is new and not establish at the salon. My mother has been going to this salon for years and suggested Angie but I guess I'll never know because I will not be rescheduling with the salon.
