Worst Experience! The lady SUE cut my ends to the scalp… and for the cherry on top .. it’s not even.

Felt like I was "bothering" them. I didn't feel welcomed at all. I asked for a short pixie cut. It took me months to work up my nerve to do it, and I ended up "arguing" with my stylist on how short... I ended up with a (too) short haircut. Consultation: folks say they like it, but it's shorter and not as "feminine" as I wanted. Lessons learned.

Went in yesterday. Got a perm, deep conditioning (with steam!), and a cut and blow dry. It was AMAZING! Sammy cut my hair in less than 15 minutes and my hair looks GREAT!. Next month, I'm going back to get my hair dyed.

I am so happy with the way Sammy cuts my hair. Sometimes I come in all sweaty from the gym and ask him to just spray or wash and cut my hair. I am out within 30 minutes. My day is free to do all my errands. Love the quick and efficient service.

I really wanted to give a higher rating, but in all honesty I left more disappointed than not. I waited way too long for what I wanted done (they seem to be very understaffed), the brushes they used didn’t look very clean, and the woman who straightening my hair was rough and I don’t think she used any type of heat protectant, my hair smelled burned! I asked her to stop 1/3 of the way through doing my hair. Some strands are still curly, so I’ll have to touch it up myself, but I asked her to stop because one of my extensions came out (keratin bond) because she was rough. The hair washing was also not gentle and I do not know what type of products they used on my hair. The bottles of shampoo and products all looked cheap and quite suspicious. As I said, it’s a very warm environment, the people feel like family, but that comes with a lack of quality in terms of business etiquette and general care. If you’re in Hyde park and need something simple done, budget a lot of time and maybe bring your own products. For the price, I’d recommend going to a professional salon, maybe a chain. It’s unfortunate, because I really prefer supporting small businesses, but not at the cost of quality and care.

I took my daughter to get a blow out and style for her graduation😊 I’ve actually been going here for years! Very family friendly and sweet hair dressers. They make you feel right at home every time and it’s usually not very crowded!

Sammy is simply one of the best hairdresser I had so far. I had long curly hair and I wanted to cut it short. My husband was impressed and all my friends are telling me that they prefer me with this haircut over my regular long hair. So YES, go get that haircut you'll be in good hands.

Clean hair salon, great prices & great results , you leave with your hair with so much volume & flow , your hair just flows through the wind & so silky. I love the way my hair feels . Plus his business hours works well with my work hours. His place of business has reasonable hours that accommodates everybody work schedule . Great environment, the hairstylist makes you feel right at home , great conversation. I highly recommend this hair salon .

Never been to a shop all my life. They gave me some kinds of burns in my head .. they lady said it was just shampoo. How does shampoo alter you kinky curls. !!when I washed my hair at home it was no longer natural curls.. I was lied to and the people are rude. I never put chemicals in my hair and it wasn't shampoo used on my now shirt damaged hair that fell out.

Service is quick, I like that I can walk in and be serviced quickly. I don't get my hair done often and don't have regular stylist. So when I do want a nice shampoo and style I have a place to go. Sammy does a nice job styling my hair.

I went to this business for the first to get a rod set done and the business did not have any rod sets in its store, so fine, I settled for a roller set. My issue with the business was that after he removed the rollers, he said I was done. He was not able to style. I appreciate being able to walk in, but I did not walk out with a style. So please know that this business has limitations on how to style. I looked like I just came out of a "Next Friday movie". I had to go to a Black Hair stylist on 43rd, who did a fantastic and simple job of twisting and applied edge gel to set me on my way!!

They style my hair great but don't like sitting in the chair waiting for an hour with no service when I have things to do its also over priced. Update service is still slow even when you are the only one there the woman that puts the relaxer in uses a small brush tool to put the relaxer in my hair she hits my scalp hard with it so the relaxer burned my scalp I have scabs in my head but they are clearing up thank goodness she also burns your scalp with the hair dryer and gets mad at you when you say something. Please Read the bad reviews and listen to them and no I don't scratch my scalp or hair before getting a relaxer I know better
