Every once in a while you come across someone who is just really good at what they do, and that’s David here. In addition to being a great chat, David gives a level of detail and attention to his work that I haven’t found anywhere else. Something I thought was really cool was how he intentionally styled my hair in a way that highlighted the strengths of my natural hair. In addition his space is impeccably clean and the big window view of state makes for a really peaceful experience. Finally I find his price to value very good compared to similar options.

Amazing location, and David was terrific. Expertly skilled, great personality, and reasonably priced. You won’t beat the combo of environment, quality, and price. Highly recommend.

David gave me a FANTASTIC haircut. He actually listened to what I asked for and cut my hair accordingly. Really nice guy and fun, relaxing studio. Highly recommend!

David is a great guy and incredibly talented. I have been going back to him for years and there is really no one like him. His new place on State Street has an amazing vibe, the real Santa Barbara experience.

The stylist and owner David was super friendly and a great guy. Very good at what he does, it was my first time trying a new hair cut and the result was just what I was looking for. Definitely will be coming back for my next cut.

Was visiting Santa Barbara, needed a good cut, and am super glad I found this place. Excellent cut, very friendly and knowledgeable stylist, and very reasonably priced. You know he does good work when the wife says afterwards she loves it, gets a little touchy-feely, and wants to take a picture of how he styled it. Thank you!

I love getting my haircut here prior to covid craziness and beyond. The main stylist is very kind. I was able to book an appointment online using their website. Being that he was the only other person there during my appointment I felt perfectly safe, and extremely happy with the results. He fixed my hack-job of self haircuts and there was an immediate difference in the look of my hair. Thank you!!!

David is a great guy and an even better barber. His place is very relaxed and sophisticated, like a gentlemans cigar room (without the cigars). He gives a 11/10 haircut. Don't look anywhere else.

David is a gentleman who knows his stuff and has the experience and confidence to make you feel comfortable in the chair. His haircuts are exceptional and he does a good job of reading what you want and making adjustments to hone in on the perfect cut. Subscriptions available to ensure that you are always taken care of, which is exactly how I always feel. Will be returning.

David is a great stylist, I'm moving out of SB quite soon and it will be sad to no longer see him but he is attentive to You! This is why I value him , he clearly seeks to do what it is you wish to do with your hair and is great conversation as well, excellent salon- check it out!

David knows how to cut both men’s and women’s hair in the style that you ask for! His shop is refreshingly homey and he is the most welcoming. Definitely recommend!

I've been to David twice and I'm very happy with the results. I had severely damaged hair that had broken off and was looking particularly skanky. David did an amazing job giving me a cut that really refreshed my look. No more skanky hair! I've been going back to him since. He knew exactly what I wanted with me only describing it. The cut is easy to care for and looks good even when I just let it air dry. Additionally, David is friendly, but not annoying like a lot of have stylists can be -- he doesn't try to force conversation or pry. I feel very comfortable with him. Thank you David. I'll definitely be returning when I need a trim! ☺️
