I took my grand daughter to have her hair braided for the knotless braids and she did an excellent job on her hair. She was nice courteous our appt was at 10 but she allowed me to bring my granddaughter an hour early. I will definitely be bringing her back.

Ms coco did her thang . My first Time going here and I am more than happy with my hair. She took her time and was so patient. The shop was very clean and ms coco is so nice. Coco Hair Braiding is not the first braiding salon in Chicago that I've been to, but I'm hoping they'll be my last. This was my first time booking an appointment with Coco. The process was fairly simple, unlike the demands of IG braiders and Style Seat stylists. I called, requested shoulder-length knotless box braids, shared my preferred hair color, and the date and time I wanted to come. I successfully called one day prior to the appointment to confirm and once more the morning of the appointment. So far so good. There was ample street parking and my braider showed up around the same time I did. Before she started braiding we had a nice conversation confirming my desired style, length, and color. I even felt comfortable enough to ask if there were alternative gels that could be used. My scalp gets irritated and itchy from gels other braiders have used in the past and Coco explained the type of gel she uses and which ones she didn't to avoid flaking, scalp irritation, and redness. This was music to my ears. She began braiding around 8:30 and finished at 1:56PM. I was shocked that she finished early considering there wasn't another braider on my head. After she heat-treated my ends, and curled them, I left closer to 3. I had a great experience overall. She was attentive, she let me see that my parts were straight, she allowed me to walk around and stretch, and when my phone died, she let me borrow a charger. And on top of that, she gives discounts to first-time customers and birthday discounts on the day of your birthday. She was well worth the drive and I love the outcome of her work. I'm excited to book with Coco Hair Braiding again!

Coco and Dorothy are very pleasant and accommodating to the customer's request. Braiding quality is topnotch. Mixing of salt/pepper and black hair was on point.

An amazing braiding service, they were kind enough to fit me in early and did an amazing job. Will be back to get this style as knotless, the traditional style is a bit tight for my head but I love the look.

Coco did a great job on my hair. I gotten box braids. She was ready took my hair down, wash and braid. The atmosphere was great, good talk among us ladies. Uplifting each other. The other worker Dorothy was so nice. I will see CoCo again!!!

It was such a warm genuine welcome upon entering her beautiful well kept shop,she has snacks and water, and I think that is very considerate of her, also the other braider gave good energy as well, and baby when I tell you I absolutely love love my hair I honestly do,yesterday was my first time going to coco and it won’t be the last, I am so glad I chose her shop she is totally honest and she has such a warm embrace and her work is indeed professional I will recommend her to friends and family and anyone who ask me about my hair I will tell them about my experience and my new hair stylist GO check her and her staff out them ladies can braid some hair you won’t be disappointed you will be glad you went there trust me! Baby CoCo and the other young lady ATE downnnnnn💕💕 I called around at about 5pm and they took me @6pm, prolly one of the best decisions I made! They were a bit tight but nothing a steamer can’t help lol. Took about 10hours because I wanted my parts small and I needed them long! There were no issue what so ever! Once I got there the first young lady got straight to work and Coco chimed in as well once she was done with her client. I love my hair so bad😭💯 But, Thank you guys much again! I wish you nothing but more success!!🫶🏽

I found this place a few months ago. I have to say, this is easily one of the best braiders in town. The last time she did my hair it lasted 3 months. Of course, that was with me also keeping up with my hair. It is worth the price because of how long it lasts. The first time, I got medium-sized box braids with natural hair color, this time I am getting small-sized knotless box braids with a mix of colors (27/30 blend)!

I had braids prior to the appointment and took them out after two weeks because they looked busted. My appointment with Coco was an EMERGENCY, I was seen on a Saturday bright and early. The hair was provided and Coco went to work. My braids are neat and my natural hair is tucked neatly into each braid. THANK YOU! I will be back for another set of braids (maybe Blue/Purple mix). Service: Waist length box braids.

I love it. My hair is gorgeous the stylist are super nice. The pricing is fair and worth the time. Their work is phenomenal💞come over east at coco’s hair braiding and get the best braids done in the city of Chicago. I’m not saying this to be fake I really had a time of my life and I look beautiful. You can even bond with other clients and the stylists they are indeed super nice. (I had to say it again lol but they were really nice)

I would definitely recommend CoCo Hair Braiding. I had Micro braids done and was very pleased with the cleanliness of the salon. I have been looking for a new Braider for about a year after the Braider I went to for over 20 years returned home. I will return to the salon again. Great service for a reasonable price. They would have gotten 5 stars but missed the mark.. the pricing need to be established before the services begin also the small needs to be small because what I received was medium.. they are good braiders they just should help each other out to get their clients out the shop quicker it should take 10 hours for knotless when it’s three ppl just sitting around and one person is braiding.
