Cocoon Soma is by far my favorite day spa in San Francisco. From the moment you walk in, the wonderful team makes you feel welcome and comfortable in the clean, relaxing space. I've been going here for years for a variety of services. For mani / pedi, I regularly see Daisy and Emily and they're both fantastic. As someone who wasn't really interested in facials, I'm now hooked on them thanks to Adrienne. Thank you to everyone at Cocoon for being so warm and professional and providing such excellent services!

This place is just lovely. The receptionist is so welcoming and kind. I had a hot stone massage with Esteban. Honestly it was the BEST massage I have ever gotten in my life - he helped my lower back and uses movement and massage to loosen the tight areas. Seriously very skilled and very professional too. Can not recommend him enough!

Cocoon Day Spa is my go to for nails! The entire nail team is so friendly and I always leave so happy! Emily does a fantastic job and my gel manis last at least 2 weeks! Cocoon Day Spa has created a beautiful space and the front desk team is always so helpful. Don’t forget to ask for Emily!

I have been going to Cocoon for a few years now and I absolutely love it! Starting off their front desk, especially Kysa is phenomenal. Kysa is so quick with figuring out scheduling and anything admin related and she is so warm and welcoming from the moment you enter the spa. I also love the wide array of services that Cocoon offers from nails (Emily is amazing) to facials, body treatments, etc. Their entire team is great (I've had appointments with Adrienne, Danielle, and Kathleen) but I really want to highlight Genevieve because she is so knowledgeable of all the treatments she offers and is such a genuine person. Genevieve makes sure that you receive the best treatment possible with her and also just has this warm and safe aura that adds to the experience. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone and am excited to keep going!

Kristina is a 5 star massage therapist; effectively managing post operative/injury care, inflammation reduction and provides muscle relief towards better poster. Kysa does a great job managing the customer experience!

Cocoon Day Spa is always where I go when I can treat myself to a day of pampering for a luxury spa experience. It's immaculate inside and the staff is kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I've been seeing Adrienne for many years now. I highly recommend her, as she is a facial wizard. She is efficient, kind, has great bedside manner, and always helps me meet my skincare goals. I always leave with my skin feeling amazing! Highly recommend Adrienne!

Cocoon Spa in SOMA left me with a warm and relaxing experience. Excellent customer service--I typically see Adrienne as she has been my go-to for a few years. If I ever have to travel a little further for a treatment, I am interested in their other locations. Highly recommend!

I love the chic, relaxing vibe of this little oasis tucked away in the middle of downtown. The waiting area is super comfortable, especially with a glass of champagne in hand. I’ve had facials, massages and lash extensions here and everything was top-notch, from the skin care products used to the heated blankets to the professional staff. Susannah N always takes good care of me and does terrific lash extension work! Will continue to go back.

I love this spa for my treatments. I've always had a relaxing and pleasant experience here. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome and offered tea or water while you wait. The facility is super clean and sanitary. The tranquil ambiance sets the tone for a rejuvenating pampering experience. I’ve been coming to this place for several years now and have seen a couple different technicians. I've been seeing Adrienne exclusively for my skincare and waxing for a couple years now and I would highly recommend her!

I would like to take the time to thank Michelle for giving me the most amazing facial. She was very kind and gentle. She respected the sensitive areas of my skin and gave me her best recommendation. She asked me how I usually like my facial and didn’t make me feel pressured into any product or anything that has to do with my skin. I felt comfortable and passed out mid facial. After she was done, my face not only looked but felt brand new. I have had a lot of facials and by far this was one of my favorites and I did make an appointment to come back

It was my first time visiting a day spa and it was such a pleasurable experience, the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. John was exceptionally helpful in relieving the stress why my deep relaxation massage. It was so nice to finish my experience at the spa getting a facial with Felicia and then finishing with getting my nails done with Emily. I would highly recommend checking out their packages they have available.

I’ve gotten multiple services done at Cocoon from mani/pedis to facials and massage. The results have always been amazing. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you choose! The manager Kysa is always so friendly and kind and treats every customer like an old friend. A lot of the clientele are from the neighborhood, which I think says a lot about how Cocoon has fostered a sense of community in SOMA. Pro tip: the best service providers book out FAST! so I always book my next appointment on my way out.

Love this Place! I've been going here for years and always see Michelle. She is the best for all facials and always takes great care of my skin. This is a bit of a spa sanctuary in the City. Every time I go in, I never want to leave. I hardly ever leave reviews (practically never) but here are a few people that makes this place a little bit of heaven on earth. I was actually introduced by one of my girlfriends nearby and that’s how I knew it even existed as the entrance is a side door next to a pizza/ Italian restaurant. The staff inside are so nice, they always greet you with the warmest welcome and have the best soothing teas for you. Every room (and I’ve tried a few now) is just this sanctuary resort cocoon. The details of a warm bed with the perfect knee pillows, the air filters and fans, the music, the lighting, just everything truly makes them the heavenly Cocoon and now it makes sense why they named it that. I’ve been to a lot of different places from LA/ OC / Peninsula to the City - the premium you pay for is worth it. Here’s who I can personally rave about: R H I A N A - the sweetest gal who’s always so hospitable making sure I’m always taken care of and always has the sweetest welcoming aurora. I love seeing her when I get to see her and she’s the absolute best. So warm, so kind, so willing to help with everything! K Y S A - who’s always been super helpful with figuring out my packages & spa points and helps me get creative redeeming if I want to swap one for another. She’s also the fashion collection mastermind there 😀 👠. N I C O L E. - I had the 90 min Deep Tissue/ Swedish hybrid massage with her with Aroma Therapy essential oils (my choice of the oils mixture was Lavender + Rose 🌹 + Peppermint). Okay I don’t even have words….. it was so amazing I was completely speechless. If you want to melt for 60/90 min, you’re welcome… she’s your gal! She worked on all the tight areas but never was I cringing any pains when she helped me get knots out. That was Epic. Key thing to note is if you’re going in for a massage, let her work on your neck and head because that was the cream on top of the cake. 💆‍♀️ A D R I E N N E - Facial. The absolute best. I did dermaplanning and also the O2 package with her and the facials are so beyond. I’m not even a facial girl but she’s changed me! Hope that helps anyone looking to try them out. Stop reading these darn reviews, just go take a tour!

This review is long overdue. I have been coming here for years (I think since 2018) and have consistently had Romeo as my massage therapist and he is by far the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. I’ve gone to countless spas throughout the world, and will always come back to Romeo. I had a period of time where I was training for a race, and had some pretty bad inflammation in my legs and knees and he knew exactly what to do to soothe the pain. I’ve also had Christina and Esteban as my massage therapist and they are also really fantastic.

I have had the pleasure of going to Cocoon Day Spa for many massages over the last few years. I plan to continue to come back again and again and again! No matter the massage therapist that I see, I leave feeling relaxed, reinvigorated, and rejuvenated. They do a great job of communicating to uncover any specific areas in need of their talents. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating - from the front desk to the folks in the nail room. If I ever bring in my dog, they all fan over him.

Adrienne made me have a wonderful time at Cocoon Spa. As a teenager, I struggle with acne and Adrienne was super gentle and sweet with me. The results were also amazing so I definitely recommend booking with her. Love her work!

Cocoon is an absolute gem! The space itself is extremely relaxing and cozy- the amount of services offered makes for a convenient day spa experience. I can get a number of services done in one day and the quality delivered by the estheticians , massage therapists, and nail technicians is unmatched. I highly recommend booking a couples massage if you’re looking for a nice tranquil day with a partner, friend, or a family member. The space is always so clean and they even sell cute clothes and amazing skincare products. I can’t recommend this spa enough!

Cocoon urban day spa is absolutely amazing. I visit the Bay Area often and cocoon is always my first stop. I’ve had facials and massages as well as manicures and pedicures. The staff are always so wonderful and the space is beautiful and relaxing. After my last facial, I got compliments on my skin for months. Thank you Sarah for creating such an incredible oasis in San Francisco. I can’t wait to go back.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is by far the best spa experience I have had in San Francisco. I have spent the last 10+ years trying out different places but nothing ever seemed to really give the experience that I was looking for. Upon arriving, the staff immediately puts you at ease and are so helpful, going way above and beyond. The spa was clean, calming and most importantly peaceful. I had a facial with Adrienne Finley, and she did not disappoint. I was referred by a colleauge who kept raving about this esthetician she sees. Let me tell you, her fingertips danced across my face and put me in a relaxing trance. It really felt like chamomile tea for my skin; soothing, healing and rejuvenating all at once. But she seriously did such a good job and I finally feel like someone was able to address my skin issues and put a plan in place to achieve my goal. This spot is definitely a 10/10!!!!

I have been going to Cocoon in Soma for Pocell treatments for almost 2 years now - I see Adrienne or Kathleen. Both of them are exceptional. Everyone from the front desk to the service providers are top-notch. The facility itself is first class. I haven't experienced any of their other treatments, but I look forward to doing so this year.

I went to Cocooon to see Adrienne for a lash lift and tint! Adrienne is amazing at her work. She makes you feel comfortable, and she is so fun!! I absolutely loved my lashes after, I love that I don’t have to wear mascara after I have this service. I will be back!!

This is my go to spa!! I am a fan of all the Cocoon spas, but the Soma location is so special to me! I always get parking in front of the door and am immediately taken care of when I arrive! The staff are so kind and welcoming, and are always checking in to make sure I am comfortable! I got a great mani pedi for the thanksgiving holidays and it has held up extremely well! I can’t wait to go back again!

This place is a hidden gem! I've always had a relaxing and pleasant experience here. They keep the facility super clean, sanitary and staff is always so accommodating. They offer you tea/water/refreshments while you wait for your treatment. I've been seeing Adrienne for my treatments for over a year now and I would highly recommend her!

SUBJECT: Utterly Disappointed and Furious with Your Company’s Service and Policies. I am absolutely appalled by the level of customer service I have received from your establishment. As a loyal customer who has spent thousands of dollars at your business, I expected professionalism, understanding, and basic human decency, none of which were evident during my most recent experience. While I understand the need for policies, it is completely unacceptable that there is such a blatant disregard for emotional intelligence and customer care. Not everyone can make their appointment times – life happens. Yet, instead of showing flexibility or any understanding, I was met with a cold, impersonal attitude from the front desk, prioritizing your "small business" over the very customers who keep you afloat. It's insulting. Let me be clear: I have been more than generous with my tipping, even when canceling appointments. However, it has come to my attention from multiple nail technicians that the tips are often withheld from them, or at the very least, not distributed fairly. I can sympathize with the workers, but my issue lies squarely with the company itself. The entire experience was completely disrespectful. Your rigid policies are driving away good customers and I will never return to your business again. You have shown zero flexibility, zero understanding, and zero commitment to maintaining relationships with your clients. Your notion of “customer service” is entirely misguided. Small businesses succeed because they value their customers and foster loyalty. Instead of acting like a condescending know-it-all, lecturing me on your policies without even letting me speak, you should have been focused on keeping me as a satisfied customer. Instead, you've lost me for good, and I will make sure to share this experience with anyone who will listen. Your business may survive on policies and profits, but it will fail without the support of loyal, respected customers.
