I came here expecting a professional service, but it was a disaster from start to finish. The stylist didn’t listen to what I wanted, rushed through the appointment, and completely botched my haircut. My hair is uneven, the layers are choppy, and it looks nothing like what I asked for. On top of that, the staff was rude and dismissive. When I pointed out the issues, they acted like it was my fault instead of fixing it. The salon itself wasn’t even clean—there was hair all over the floor, and the tools didn’t seem sanitized. To make matters worse, they overcharged me for a service that was nowhere near the quality they claim to offer. I had to go to another salon to fix their mess. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about their customers.

Edo did a fantastic job with my hair last week. I’ve never had such an attentive and talented hairstylist, he was supportive and answered all of my questions. I can’t wait to return to Coiffeur to get my roots touched up and kiki with Edo :)

Had the most amazing experience with Edo. He gave me realistic expectations about what I can do with black box dyed hair and gave me an amazing cut and color. I don’t trust anyone else to color my hair let alone go anywhere near it with a pair of scissors. My hair looks incredible and feels healthy. He gave me wonderful recommendations about products and a good hair care routine. Edo is such a kind soul and such a pleasure to work with. So happy with my results and feel like an absolute diva after my hair appointment.

I had a very disappointing experience with a stylist named Edo. My hair was severely damaged due to over-processing. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone who values the health of their hair. spent $600 just to lose clumps of hair every time i shower. currently have spent hundreds of more on products to make my hair manageable. now i wont be able to touch any heat until this grows out full length 😍😍😍😍😍 Do not come here.

I have been visiting Coiffeur for almost 20 years, and I have only had great experiences. This is why I keep going back. I've had short hair, long hair, blunt, shag, and wispy looks over the years, not to mention every shade of blonde. They can do everything at Coiffeur, and the relaxed vibe and good music always lifts me up. I highly recommend this small and friendly independent salon.

Truly one of the absolute worst haircuts I’ve ever received. I will let pictures speak. Stylist chopped off one whole side and basically gave me a mullet. I also posted the inspo image I showed at the beginning of appointment. I am in shock how horrible the cut is and how they have had a lack of urgency to rectify the situation. I am incredibly disappointed. Avoid this place at all costs

Loved Henri! He knew exactly how to work with my full curly hair, and how to style it. I was so happy with how much volume I had after my appointment. The owner and front desk staff and assistant are so helpful and friendly and easy going. It’s clean and the music is so fun! Love this neighborhood gem. It has character and had been in the area forever apparently. I can see why!!!

Came across this salon when I was traveling to NYC month ago and my hair still looks great ! Jerry, the hairstylist was very professional in handling my long, curly frizzy hair. After the cut, he even gave me very professional tips on how to take care of it. Definitely will come back when I visit NYC again!

Maybe its just a sign of the times but this neighborhood staple can no longer be relied upon. We’ve come here on and off for more than a decade but it seems like the level of professionalism has sunk as low as can be. Maybe a couple stylists are capable but be sure to not go with the ones with immediate availability, and especially if you have any sort of curly hair — lesson learned the hard way upon seeing my 8-year-old in tears at the hands of Jerry. Stephane wasn’t there and I cannot tell if he has any oversight of this poorly trained staff. “Anything to keep the lights on” is the new normal and that sucks for customers at service-based businesses.

Every single service given at this place was totally extraordinary! Highly recommend to visit this hit salon to get hairstyle perfectly done. My stylist Nana was awesome, her consultation was really precise and lots of great advice for hair colour, hair cut and aftercare treatment. I’d love to revisit here anytime soon. Thanks so much Nana-san and every staffs working there!

My 13-yr old son is incredibly picky, but his cut at Coiffeur was “perfect”. The stylist was also attentive and patient with him throughout, which made the whole experience a really good one. Absolutely recommend this place and definitely coming back again!

Wonderful experience! Terry was very kind and knowledgeable. He totally revived my dry hair and gave me a fantastic cut. The front desk person was also very friendly and helpful. They were even able to get me in for a same-day appointment without any fuss! Will definitely be back.
