I went here after an at home disaster and Kaylee was amazing! My color was absolutely stunning and the cut she gave me was fabulous! She treated my hair with such care...like it was made of the finest silk! I would definitely recommend giving them a try! You will be so glad you did!

I have been going to Tabitha for cuts/color for many years (I followed her from another salon) and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! She always does an amazing job and is fun and interesting to talk with. I trust her completely to color my graying hair in a natural-looking way that doesn’t require a lot of maintenance.

I absolutely love the environment at this salon along with the employees. They turn it from a boring salon experience into a bonding moment. It’s so wholesome and I absolutely adore the employees here. My best friend and I decided that from now on this is our go to salon and we absolutely love it there. I got tinsel done by one of the employees Kaylee and absolutely loved her work <3

these girls are GREAT! they are all so sweet and caring for their clients. they walked me through the entire appointment asking me what’d i would like to be done or cut throughout. i showed them a photo of what i wanted and they got it PERFECT. i will absolutely be coming back for more services from them!

I found Tabitha, the lovely owner of Color Factory, after several unsatisfactory salon experiences in Charlottesville. Over the past 18 months, she has done color, highlights, cuts, and keratin treatments on my hair. I've been coloring my hair for ~30 years and Tabitha is, by far, the most skilled colorist I have ever experienced. Not only has she succeeded where others have failed in achieving my desired color, but she also has explained the scientific aspects of hair color to me in ways no one else ever has. She really is a genius with color! In addition, I'm not always easy to satisfy (mostly because my hair is so stubborn) and Tabitha goes to great lengths to ensure I'm happy with the results -- always cheerfully and with a smile. Her salon is also a breath of fresh air in that I have never heard her or any of her employees utter a negative word in my presence -- something that unfortunately is rare among salons, in my experience. Five stars!

I have been a client for years now. Several stylist have worked with me and none of them ever disappoint. I’ve tried blonde, brunette, black and every vivid imaginable. From all over to custom color techniques this place is truly a gem for whatever you wish to accomplish. With my latest color I am beyond impressed with the execution. Seven different vivid custom mixed colors for a rainbow holographic look with black roots and money pieces in the front. No colors bleed together at all during the process from start to finish. There were no stains on me or my clothing with this unique color process. I am beyond in love with my new look and the entire experience. I really love that they are very encouraging about taking your own photos to and if you’re patient with time you’ll get exactly what you want.

I would highly recommend Tabitha and her team for anything hair related! Tabitha is seriously so talented. She does the best platinum blonde hair! I'm always getting compliments on my hair from complete strangers with them asking where I got my hair done. I also really appreciate that she educates you on how to take care of your hair and keep it healthy. I've been to some hair salons where they don't properly explain the process to achieve your dream hair or how to maintain it. But Tabitha explains everything so well without confusing jargon. She is also such a genuinely kind person, and I always enjoy my time at her salon chatting with her. It makes the hours go by fast! Her prices are very reasonable and for her talent it is worth every penny!

If you are in or around Charlottesville area, or don't mind a little drive, The Color Factory Salon is where you need to get your hair done! The entire staff is amazing and make the entire experience amazing from start to finish. Not only is a friendly atmosphere but the stylist know there stuff! I'd recommend them to anyone with any hair type that want any change, cut, color, extensions, they even do tinsel! 10 stars hands down👏 thank you ladies!

I’ve been seeing the girls at CF for over 12 years. They are the best color stylists around and are phenomenal with thick curly hair. Their artist, Skylar, is so creative and excellent at funky styles. You can’t go wrong.

She tames my sons unruly cowlicks and makes it lay artisticly against his head. Affordable, clean, convenient location to downtown Charlottesville. Highly recommended!

My entire family has had their hair done by Tabitha! Since being referred to Tabitha, she has gone on to do BOTH my daughters' hair for their wedding day and it was beautifully done! Tabitha listens when my husband and I go to her for our hair styles. We have always had a great experience in her shop! Tabitha is kind, warm, and welcoming and we have always left her shop feeling that our hair is LOVELY! Do you have curly hair? Never fear! Tabitha knows her business when it comes to cutting and styling the curls! I can not recommend this shop highly enough! I know you will be pleased!

Tabitha (who I believe is the owner of Color Factory) is a highly talented, experienced and professional hair stylist. As a blonde highlighting client, Tabitha processed my highlights with a natural - even in color and dimension - look. I was blessed to find her after searching for someone with her talent once I moved to central Virginia 2 years ago. She has a consistent and pleasant personality. On my recent appointment today, I wanted a blended root with a lowlight and she did not disappoint. Not many people are as talented as Tabitha. Book today! Tabitha has been cutting my hair since 2014 when we first met and she fixed a terrible color job I had done in GA before moving here. She did such a great job with that color fix and has given me the best haircuts ever since. I have been to a few other high end stylists when I couldn’t get appointments with her and they were not as good at cutting my semi curly (frizzy) hair or as friendly and easy on my sensitive scalp.

Tabitha is wonderful. She is a wizard with colors and so friendly and helpful. I ask for some “interesting” things (like the blonde bangs) and she always pulls it off with flying colors (such a bad pun, sorry not sorry!) I highly recommend this place!

Against my better judgment I booked Tabithas services for my wedding hair and makeup for 6 people. There was no contract or expectation that any money put forward was nonrefundable. After my trial I decided to go with another salon and Tabitha refused to even partially refund me for the poor service I received. My trial hair became a mess within an hour and I was charged only 10 dollars less than for bridal hair. Apparently a bridal trial is a loosely pinned idea of your style for the wedding not an actual trial of your wedding hair. I would absolutely never use this salon again there are much better more reputable places in the area.

I went in for a consultation; it was very clean and Tabitha was great at listening to what I wanted and working through with me about what was possible as well as the budget. I'm excited to go back for my cut and dye next week; will update after!
