Came here to get my first haircut ever! The place is very welcoming, vibrant, and homey. Jackelyn is amazing. She will take the time to explain everything to you about your hair, especially if you’re a first timer like me. She knows so much about curls and can help you pinpoint exactly what you’ve been doing incorrectly with your hair and how to work towards what you want. She provides a realistic timeline if you have a “hair goal” in mind. I was anxious going in but was very comfortable the whole appointment and left very happy with my hair! She was able to bring through a lot of my curl in just that first appointment. I have been straightening my hair for over 10 years. I look forward to what we can do with my natural hair in the upcoming year. Definitely recommend booking here! First two pictures are what I left with, last picture is what I started with. <3

Jackelyn is an amazing talented artist with hair , she educated me on how to take care of my hair which I never knew. I feel fortunate to be able to have her cut my hair. Loved the product she used . I’m looking forward to see her again. I live out of state, but I’m never going anywhere else for my hair ! 🥰The salon environment was peaceful and cozy. 😻

Words can't describe how amazing they are. They listen to what I want instead of going "oh you shouldn't have your hair too short cause your a girl" no they allowed me to embrace my want for really short hair and I love that they help me with that. Can't recommend this place enough

Jackelyn is the best! She always takes into account what you want to do and lets you know if it will work for your specific hair type/texture. She makes sure to check in with you throughout the process so she can tailor the style to your liking and she teaches you what products work best and how to use them. She even gives samples of some products if you need them.

Jackelyn was very welcoming and kind. She answered all of my questions in depth and never made me feel bad for asking them. She's super good at consistently explaining what she was doing in the moment and why she's doing it, (she even encouraged me to touch my hair at different points to feel the effects of what she was doing/adding to it!) all while considering your input. Overall 10/10, would trust her with my hair again.

I only ever had bad experiences with stylist/barbers which made me cut my own hair. For my upcoming senior year i really wanted a haircut i’ve wanted for a really long time i came in to see jackie and she was AMAZING. Genuinely the best haircut experience ive ever had. Like i genuinely ENJOYED myself. I loved the final product and enjoyed the chatter and process. I couldn’t recommend her more. Genuinely outstanding.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Color Me Chula. I loved how the visit wasn't rushed and everything was explained to me in detail. Also, I never knew I had the curls that I have until this appointment. Truly a wonderful experience, highly recommended! I will be going back.

About a year ago I was ready for my ~big chop~ and I knew there was only one person I could trust with the job - Jackie! Since then, I have been back every other month or so and I walk away every single time feeling like a million bucks. I don't know how she does it, but somehow, I love every haircut more than the last. Being in the shop truly is an experience. It's like going to hang out with your friends who also just so happen to be cutting your hair. I've also had the privilege of having some hair work done by Monica (salon_maricon) so I can confidently say the shop is full of wonderful people and talent. I truly can't recommend either of them enough!

Miss Color Me Chula is the best! She not only takes so much care & time in cutting your hair, she also takes the time to show you how to style it which is HUGE! The inclusivity of the LGBTQ+ environment along with asking about pronouns in her pre-appointment questionnaire to gender neutral pricing makes this a safe place for all!

ayooo i’ve been coming to Jackie since 2018 & still rocking!!!! even when i moved out of town and i still traveled back to fresno just to get my haircuts & skin care needs from her because she’s THAT good!!!! she’s worth every penny & then some. always has my curls looking bouncy & healthy, is very warm & a great conversationalist 😉 peep my hair if you don’t believe me.

I’ve gotten several Brazilian waxes and a paraíso facial (just today) by Jackelyn. I always feel extremely comfortable when I go in for my waxes. She always makes me feel welcome and takes her time for whatever I come in to get done. I’ve never had a facial before, and I LOVED IT. I am so soothed and relaxed. I almost fell asleep lol. Jackelyn is so talented and I think her services are more than worth it. If you’re on the fence because you’re nervous or new to this, I encourage you to go.

I just had my first appointment with Jackelyn (scalp ceremony and hair trim), and she was indeed awesome as other reviewers have stated. She's so personal and I felt welcome and comfortable right away. I look forward greatly to my future visits. I almost don't want to bump up her numbers so that it'll be easier for me to book future appointments, but I couldn't do that to her. 😁
