This was my first time here. Josefina washed (I don’t think she used conditioner) and cut my hair, then she blew it out with a round brush and flat ironed it. She didn’t use any heat protectant or products on me at all because I have fine hair so it gets oily faster and she didn’t want to weigh down my hair. But..???? You should still always use a heat protectant! She was burning my hair and scalp but I didn’t think much of it because I know wet hair smokes when hot air is applied. Fast forward a week later I just washed my hair for the first time since this blowout and my hair smelled SO BADLY of sulfur which means she severely burned my hair and broke down the bonds in it. I had to google it since this has never happened to me before. My hair also shed a lot more than usual on wash day. I paid $100 to have my hair damaged more than it’s ever been in my whole life. Don’t go here! Update: My hair 2 weeks out is no longer as curly as it normally is. It’s very wavy at best. I just spent another $100 on a hair product to help repair hair bonds. I repeat DO NOT GO HERE!

Josefina It's absolutely amazing. She can do any texture of hair. The first few times I went, I was natural (4c). .Today, I went for a relaxer and she treated my hair with so much love. I would definitely recommend this hair salon.

They did a good job on the hair but there were a couple of things that weren't great. 1. When I walked in no one greeted me for 15 minutes. To the point I wondered if they thought I was waiting for someone or if they knew I was there to do my hair. At this point they only had two customers. 2. Two hair dressers gave me a hard time about wanting to do the rollers in my hair instead of blowing drying it while it's wet. At this point I just wanted to leave and let them use the blower instead. 3. When I went to give the hairdresser her tip I had a $20 and asked for change to break the 20. She kept $10 and gave me my $10. My plan was to tip her $10 from the start because she was doing everything herself, but I really did not appreciate that she just took it without saying anything or without letting me do it. 4. When the hair dresser asked another women what to charge me she said $60 which is fine and then said she's not charging me for the conditioner this time but will next time. I brought my own deep conditioner. There shouldn't be a charge attached to that at all. Again, did nice job on the hair but everything else was enough for me to not return.
