I found ContestaRockHair when I desperately needed to fix a very bad haircut given to me in another salon. Mikel took time to listen and understand what I wanted, and then with great care and skill corrected all the damage done by the other stylist and turned what was a disaster into beautiful and stylish French bob! I ended up with an even better style than I originally wanted! I'm so happy I found this salon; I'm definitely coming back.

Just shy of 10 years ago, I discovered the best hair salon in all of Miami—Contesta Rock Hair, located in the vibrant Upper Buena Vista neighborhood, just about 10 blocks from the Design District. The location alone is fantastic, but what truly makes this salon special is the exceptional talent you’ll find here. For nearly a decade, MIKEL has been my go-to hair designer. His skill with cuts, one-process color, and blow-drys is unparalleled. No matter where I go, people constantly stop me to ask who does my hair—Mikel’s work speaks for itself! More recently, I’ve started working with Suede, who is newer to the salon but an absolute expert when it comes to blondes. His experience and precision with color are unmatched. Together, Mikel and Suede make the ultimate dream team. If I could give Contesta Rock Hair 20 stars—or even 100—I absolutely would. Mikel is not only a superstar talent but also has an amazing personality that makes every appointment enjoyable. For anyone looking for world-class cuts, color, and an all-around fabulous salon experience, look no further. This place is the real deal!

If you are an Asian woman in Miami looking for a great hair stylist, go to Zwade!! He knows how to do Asian hair, both cut and color. Every time I get my hair done with him, I walk out feeling so beautiful and feminine. Zwade has a vision of how he wants the hair to come out, and it’s way better than what I go in thinking. He’s a professional 👏👏👏

Just moved into the neighborhood and had to find new hair ppl. So so happy to have found these guys!!! Atmosphere is great (espresso? Yes, please) and the cut and style was unrushed and professional and perfect. Stop thinking about giving them a try and do it!!! :)

It’s hard to find a place where they do an amazing job for a great price. I love this place, my hair it’s been beautiful, healthy since I started going to this place. I’m taking also my kids and my husband and the entire team there makes a great job. I did color my hair and I just simply love it, Claudia & Mike have done so much for my hair. Fabio and Enzo take care of my husband’s and kids hair 10/5 for this place !!!

I have rarely found an experience better than going to Contesta. For those not in the know, this is a mostly Italian salon with a cool vibe and Miamis most talented stylists. I have been going to Enzo for many years and he is one of those people who is so good at their trade it’s a pleasure to see.

I’ve visited this place for more than 20 years and they never disappoint. I always walk out feeling great. Fabio is my regular guy. Super talented and always great conversation too.
