Bezu did my silk press, and curled my hair for a special occasion. She did an incredible job, and I will be returning. I loved my hair, and the welcoming environment at the salon!

I got my hair curled with perm rods with Bezu a little over a week ago. I’m really tender headed and I have long (lower back) 3c hair. The shampoo experience is so relaxing she really took her time making sure my hair and scalp was clean. I can tell how she cares about the integrity of your hair by how she detangled my hair in a way that wasn’t causing breakage and wasn’t causing me pain. After my hair was done she also gave me good maintenance tips. It’s 1 week later and my curls still look very fresh just using the advice she gave me. 10/10 experience and style!

I had an amazing experience at this hair braiding shop with Bezu! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how spotless and organized everything was. The cleanliness really stood out, making the entire visit so much more comfortable. The team worked incredibly fast without sacrificing quality—my braids were done much quicker than I expected. And the result? Absolutely perfect! It was exactly what I wanted but even better. They nailed every detail, and I couldn't be happier. Hi I can absolutely without a doubt say I am more than pleased when I leave this shop. I or my daughter never go unsatisfied with Braids by Yasmine or A silk press by Shalamar the owner. My son has gotten a hair cut by one of the talented barbers as well. I really appreciate their professionalism and concern not only for hair but the person. It’s not that often you meet a stylist Shalamar that is willing to go over a silk press because My daughter sweated it out in a jumper💕 thank you!! Bunches!! Many Blessings

I contacted Continued Beauty Lounge on a whim last wk, and they fit me in last min. Shalamar was my stylist. She’s amazing!! I sent her a picture of the style I wanted, it required I get some extras from the beauty supply and she called them ahead of time and everything I needed was at the front waiting on me to pick up. Everything was seamless and I love my hair! Thank you, Shalamar. You did the hell out of my hair, honey!! See you soon. 😘

I made a last-minute silk press appointment with Raquel, and she had me in and out in no time! We vibed to music the whole time, and my hair came out sooo nice. It’s super smooth and soft. I’m obsessed! I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! :)

Raquel washed, conditioned and treated my hair.This was my second appointment with her. She was gentle with my hair. The treatment felt so relaxing. My hair needed a lot of work and she was able to give me a great style and advised me on how to get my hair on track. Setting an appointment with Raquel was easy and seamless. Not many people in the area are able cut or trim hair well but I trust Raquel completely with my hair.

(Mentioned below but big shout out to Bezu!!) I'm able to do my own hair but I decided to take a leap of faith and go to a shop for the first time. It was a great experience and I plan on going back for maintenance. Bezu was extremely thorough when it came to washing, conditioning, detangling, and trimming my ends. She made sure I was comfortable and understood what she was doing. I got shoulder length mini twists with extensions. She was not super heavy handed when braiding my hair and did not use a ton of product. The other stylists/barbers in the shop were also very nice and greeted everyone who came into the shop. The atmosphere was very comfortable and reminded me of going to the hair salon back in the day with my mom. Nothing but love, respect and laughs.

I was a loc’d girly and decided to comb them out after years of poor maintenance. I found Raquel on Facebook and when I say no one can do it like her. she fixed my years of different colors and shades and made it into one seamless color. she maintained my length and made it looks so healthy. I haven’t allowed anyone else in my hair since. She’s very personable and knowledgeable.

Continued Beauty salon has been my go to full service salon and I am so happy I found Shalamar and the team of talented professionals there. I am always welcomed with friendly and positive energy.I have been a client for over 2 years! Shalamar helped repair my hair from bleaching and harsh coloring. Continued beauty is a San Diego gem! I had been struggling to find a full service salon that catered to black hair, and feel very fortunate to have found my new home base. Shalamar is fantastic, in a single session she was able to help me resolve a long standing haircare issue. She recommend new products that have helped my hair thrive! I haven’t had my hair DONE like Raquel DID it in a very long time! There’s a true level of knowledge and experience that you can not only hear in the way she speaks and makes you feel confident in what she’s doing, but also see when you get up from her chair! My hair stayed straight for way longer than expected with the busy go Go GO lifestyle, and I got many different styles out of it! Overall the salon is clean and organized and I enjoyed my experience. I’ve been going to Continued Beauty Lounge since the shop opened in 2020. Shalamar Rogers-Johnson is my hair stylist. I love how she takes care of my hair. I get color and she is excellent at coloring hair. The products she uses have been very good for my hair. Shalamar has been doing hair for years, so she’s experienced and understands every aspect of all hair types. She is professional, and will be honest with you in sharing your specific needs to obtain healthy hair.

Shalamar does an immaculate job with hair. Theres nothing she wasnt able to do. I would come in with an image or an idea and she can bring it to reality. Im more amazing how fast she can work and always got energy although it can be a strenuous job. The shop is very lively and has really cool people working there. It also has barbers, herbal products, etc. its a one stop shop. You really cant go wrong going here. Everybody in the shop is an actual professional at what they do.

Soooooo my aunt winces at the thought of a brush in a drawer ! To say she is tender headed is an absolute Understatement!!!!! Now I don’t know what kind of “MAGIC HANDS” that Shalamar has. I got my aunt in for a hair wash , condition, and blow dry ( I don’t think we would get close to blow drying actually ). When I say she did not make one face, sound, or complaint !!!! 😒🤯😳😁. I thought to myself “ what in the world is going on here ?? I kind of low key was thinking 🤔 “ why doesn’t she act like this when I even ATTEMPT to get near her hair”. Let me tell you something …… the atmosphere is great ! We were in and out in less than a hour. My aunt actually agreed to come back for her next wash, I was shocked!!! Do yourself a favor and get your services done at CONTINUED BEAUTY. You will be super happy with your decision . Thank you Shalamar for making things easy and quick ! And her hair clean and beautiful!
