A great venue, especially for weddings, if you're looking for that destination vibe of other locations in the state where it seems isolated and 'in the middle of nowhere' without having to leave Hampton Roads!! Plenty of space to hold your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. This place would be great for a smaller guest count of 75 to maybe 115 guests. Even though this tends to be placed outdoors, sidewalls can put in their main event area (the pavilion) and there are even heaters placed on the ceiling for colder weather as well as ceiling fans for the hotter months. Plenty of space for parking for the guests. The staff are polite and professional. They are following current respiratory hygiene guidelines. Recommended.

I arrived much earlier than planned and the owner graciously let us in while they were still preparing and made sure we were comfortable and welcomed. They made sure we knew they were just around the corner to assist if needed. The event area is spacious and everything went smoothly. There were a few cute areas made for staging pictures that many guests enjoyed and the trees and well-kept grounds provided a wonderful backdrop to a beautiful wedding.

My brother's wedding was here yesterday, and the whole experience was fantastic! I was a bridesmaid, and even though I arrived slightly earlier than expected, the owner let me into the bridal suite. They have separate cottage-style facilities for the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready in as well as expansive, well maintained grounds to take pictures on. The owner and assistants worked hard day of and days prior to make sure everything went smoothly and checked frequently to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend to anyone

Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. The people running this establishment are very rude and unprofessional and will put you out before your scheduled time you paid for. There are tons of beautiful well managed places near by, go somewhere else!

I attended my best friends wedding here a few days ago. The wedding was so magical and beautiful and the owners were nothing but sweet, kind and very welcoming. They made sure all the guests felt comfortable, and that the bride and groom had a wonderful wedding. I loved every bit of it. The place is small but cozy and definitely a beautiful sight! Thank you for making my best friends wedding perfect! ❤️

I was a groomsmen and everything was beautiful. The pavilion was super useful since it decided to rain at the end. The owner lent us a bunch of umbrellas to use as we packed up. Which was incredibly useful! The property was gorgeous with everything you need all in one location for a wedding under 50 people.

I'm editing my initial review as the venue was amazing since we first visited. We had our wedding this past Saturday, November 13th. It was the most perfect wedding ever. Everything was beautiful. Everything was perfect. The owners and her assistant were amazing help the day of the wedding and throughout the evening. The ceremony was beautifully set up. The cocktail hour was amazing. The reception was magical and perfect. Everything went as planned and perfect. Mrs. Petie, the owner, throughout the night came and checked on us and make sure we were good. We got so many great compliments about the venue and how beautiful it was. Everyone enjoyed the photo ops area during the cocktail hour. I love the size of the venue as it was plenty of room for everyone to have fun and move around. I love how the venue has separate bride and groom getting ready areas. I love how the venue provides tables and chairs and a bunch of other stuff making our lives easier. This venue has been the greatest to us over the 2 years we started communicating with them. The grounds are well kept, clean and green. They were cooperative with us during the whole day. All my guests loved the venue and the owners. They gave us so many compliments about how nice they are. We booked the venue from 10m to 10pm and we had the venue the whole time, no issues, no problems, anything. Everything was perfect. The caterer, the florist, the baker, the DJ, the videographer and the photographer everyone made our day beautiful. We had an amazing coordinator that made sure we did everything correctly. This was truly the best and most perfect wedding ever and im glad we chose Country Villa. I want to plan another event just to go back there and enjoy the place. I wish I could rate it higher then 5 stars because of how amazing they were. Thank you Country Villa and everyone there who helped make our perfect day, perfect.

My wife and I had our wedding here a few days ago. After a year of planning. And it was absolutely amazing. The venue was beautiful with plenty of room. The venue owners were very hands off, until the end when it started pouring down rain!! They came out with tons of umbrellas to help escort guests to their cars.

Our daughter’s wedding yesterday was absolutely perfect!!♥️ This venue is beyond gorgeous…Our guests raved at how beautiful it was and staff are incredible people! They were professional, kind, and did everything they could to accommodate all of our needs. Great bridal suite and groom area as well as so many great photo spots on the property. We wouldn’t change a thing!! ♥️

Recently I attended a wedding ceremony and reception at the Country Villa Weddings venue. I am a retired event and wedding planner and let me just say that I was shocked by how beautiful this place is, organized, and every amenity available. There is an opportunity at this location for many different types of events, and although I was there as a guest, I enjoyed looking around and roaming around and seeing all that the owners have done to create a very special space. And then when nightfall came the entire property became magical. I was involved in helping our friends with the event set up and break down. We had several opportunities to interact with the couple that runs the property and at all times they were very professional, kind, accommodating and thoroughly have their act together. After 25 years of service in the event industry, I can tell you they're the type of people you want to work with when you are in planning and important day. I highly recommend this venue for any type of event.

This is such a beautiful wedding venue, nestled in the heart of Pungo with lots of space for you, your wedding party, and guests. There are separate locations for the bride and groom to get ready, and the ceremony and reception space are gorgeous! With lots of beautiful places for photo taking opportunities, this is a hidden gem that is a wonderful spot to celebrate your wedding day!

To start, we just had our wedding on the 4th, and we booked with this venue a year and a half in advance. We weren't sure at first what we really wanted and stumbled across The Country Villa. We looked through the packages which are on their website and everything was very easy to navigate. We searched through the pictures and instantly fell in love. Since the moment that contact started up until the day of even after Petie and Terrie have been there for us. Their compassion and dedication to not only the venue but to us as well as our families meant the world to us. My husband and I were able to have the experience that we were searching for. We wanted something simple but elegant and beautiful and something we would always remember. That is exactly what we got. Prompt communication, they worked with us every step of the way, and they made us feel at home. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect atmosphere and experience. The layout was beautiful and the hard work is in all the detail! The area for the grooms room was very nice and the brides cabin was wonderful. It had everything us ladies needed to prepare for that special moment! The Pavillion and alter are breathtaking and when everything is set up just the way you want it and when you take a step back to see it all in its glory on your special day it's stunning! Such a big thank you to you all for making our day so wonderful! Thank you for opening your home to create something special for my husband and I! We will never forget you guys and the beautiful day we had! Thank you for making us feel at home and creating such a beautiful place! If you book this venue you will not be disappointed one bit! You and your partner will fall in love just as we did! We promise you will not be disappointed! I don't normally leave reviews, we all lead busy lives but this is how people make their decisions nowadays, and we want to make sure our experience gets put out there for someone else to know that everything you're searching for is here! From the very day that Clyde and I booked Country Villa Inn for our Wedding on 09/11/2021. Petie, Phil and Terri went above and BEYOND to make our day everything Clyde and I wanted. Petie and Phil made sure that all our our wishes came true. I got to have my Chandelier thank you Terri for meeting with the event staff to make that happen. The Bridal Suite and Groomsmen suite allowed Clyde and I to relax and enjoy getting ready to spend the rest of our lives together. Thank you Petie, Phil and Terri for allowing this day to be so enjoyable for Clyde and I. Especially our Guest each and everyone felt so special and loved how gorgeous the entire Venue was they were BLOWN away. Clyde and I can never repay you for making all of our Guest comfortable from the moment they parked till they departed. I am incredibly pleased with the country villa!!! I have been working with them since May of 2019. We originally had our wedding set for May 1st 2020 but had COVID problems. This venue is absolutely beautiful and I love and private and intimate the setting is! When we did have our wedding: Our wedding was perfect and the whole time I couldn't stop saying how happy I was! Our wedding was finally on October 23rd and it was an absolute fairytale! The venue was beautiful and clean when we arrived. I loved the string lights and photo op areas, everything felt romantic, especially when the sun went down! The bride and groom prep area was clean and they had set some tables out for us before we arrived and showed us where the rest of the table and chairs were located. They had wagons available for us to carry chairs and items around the venue during set up and takedown and that was very helpful. The owners even came out to help us take down everything and I was thankful for their help! The venue owners directed guests to park in a way that would be convient for when they were leaving at the end of the night. During cocktail hour the owners asked my grandparents if they wanted the heaters on because it had gotten chilly. My Nana declined but they went and gave her a clean blanket to wrap up in. The venue owners also allowed guests to use their bathrooms inside their home if there was a line at the wedding area restrooms. My florist and Caterer loved our venue as well! The florist went to take photos in the photo op area and enjoyed decorating the alter. The caterers were pleased to have easy access to the reception area from the parking lot. Before we had our wedding: We went to the venue in the spring of 2019 and were given a grand tour by the owner Peetie, she was kind and hospitable to us and we fell in love with them and their venue! When we were about 2 months away from the wedding COVID was starting to hit hard and we requested postponing our wedding a little more than a month before our date of May 1st 2020. The venue handled the situation with grace and flexibility and we had our wedding moved to May 8th of 2021. We were so thankful to have a venue that was incredibly accommodating. When we got closer to May 8th of 2021 the VA govenor had placed a limit on gatherings. We called the venue discuss the matter and were met again with grace and flexibility. We expressed that we were hoping for May 8th but were unsure if the limit on gatherings would be lifted and were requesting a possible date for September or October. The venue were kind about the situation and we tentatively scheduled for the a new date while we waited out the gathering limit. We ended up postponing a month prior to our wedding again! We are so thankful to have been working with such kind and understanding people. I am so happy with how our wedding was and I recommend this venue 100%

I coordinated a wedding here in September and it was amazing! The owners communicated clearly their expectations and were very easy going. They worked with me and the bride to make the experience as magical as possible! Before the event started, some lights had burned out - the owners and manager of the property went above and beyond to fix it and communicate the issue! I highly recommend them!

I had the pleasure of coordinating at this venue for the first time on November 13th, 2021 and was absolutely blown away by how wonderful it was to work with the venue owner and manager. The venue manager was consistently quick to respond, pleasant to work with, and incredibly kind throughout the coordination process with myself and my clients. On the wedding day, if I needed anything at all (heating, tent walls up/down, etc.) the owners were quick to respond to ensure the event was running seamlessly throughout the night. The venue itself is lovely - especially at night with their fairy and bistro lighting. Their photo-op area is perfect for not only couples on their wedding day, but guests as well during cocktail hour or early birds arriving before the ceremony begins. Overall, very pleased with the experience.

I will be honest, after reading bad reviews the week of my wedding I was starting to get very nervous. But, my wedding day went nothing like the things I read. We booked the venue three months before the Big Day, they let us pay our balance off when we were able to, instead of three months before the day of like most of the contracts required. They let me visit the venue on multiple occasions to show my MIL and other family members around. And each and every time I visited, I always saw Petie and Terri working on the venue, they also answered every single question and tended my every need. I’m not sure what happened at other weddings, but at mine, Phil popped in a few times to make sure everything was going okay and whatever we needed he got the job done. We didn't have any issues with leaving the venue at our signed time. In my humble opinion, Phil, Petie, and Terri all care and put pride in the venue. They care about the weddings that take place there and they are very welcoming and friendly people!

It is clear from reading these reviews that the October2021 wedding where things got shut down so-called early is the only negative incident at this venue. Whatever the contract said, seems this drama was based on a misunderstanding that could have been avoided or diffused. Our experience at Country Villa 3 yrs ago was pleasant and professional.

My Fiancé and I just booked our wedding at Country Villa, and we could not be more excited! Petie was so welcoming the moment we walked through the door and gave the best tour. We both left feeling like we had just been adopted into the family. The venue was stunning even with snow on the ground and not all the flowers in bloom - just has a natural beauty. It was everything we have ever dreamed about. Petie was so excited to share with us all of their updates, photo spots, and supplies they had to offer wedding parties. Terri's follow-up was prompt and spent a significant amount of time on the phone with me answering my additional questions. Both were super personable, kind, and felt like you were talking to a long time friend. With the beginning processes running this smoothly, we cannot wait to have our wedding at Country Villa. Petie, Phil and Terri are very kind, informative and helpful. They were always willing to go above and beyond to make my time there perfect. They provide every detail I needed to know. The wedding venue is gorgeous, from the huge white lighted pavillion, several areas on the grounds to take unique pictures (like a bridge) and very nice accomodations for the bride and bridesmaids and separate place for the groomsmen and groom. ||I saw the 2 bad reviews and honestly can't imagine how this could happen. Maybe they broke the rules or stayed longer than agreed upon. These people treat you like you are their best friends.
