Edited: I finally came back to get another haircut and I did like it this time :) took me awhile but I am glad I came back to get my hair fixed. I was nervous at first but thankfully it was worth coming back and I will definitely come back again. Just moved to San Diego recently and was looking for a good hair salon. I saw that this place has a good reviews on google so I went ahead at first as a walk-in but then they were booked so I had set an appointment the following day. I was so excited to get my first haircut after a year. I was also 2 weeks postpartum and wanting something new to make me feel pretty. I walked in about 15mins late to my appointment due to I had to feed my baby before leaving. I thought my appointment will get cancelled but I still tried to come in and was told that they can still accommodate me but can’t wash my hair just straight cutting it which is fine with me because I just washed my hair prior to coming in. I explained what style I wanted and showed a picture of it to the stylist and I thought we both understand what I wanted ( Butterfly cut with curtain bangs ) but then we had a miscommunication and she gave me a full bangs. I was upset, but I was gonna let it go because I know it will grow back but what made it worst is that she cut my hair about 2 inches ( not the bangs this time ) and then told me she don’t have enough time to finish my haircut and that I need to reschedule it… I was devastated up to today writing this review which took me about a month to put on here. I haven’t been to any hair salon since that day because what happened to me was so upsetting. The stylist was not rude nor did my bangs bad, but it’s not what I wanted. If a service cannot be completed in the beginning, you should tell it to the customer right away especially if it’s customer’s fault for being late. I will be coming back to this hair salon and will give it another shot and hopefully this time it will be right and will update this review.

Rudest salon I've ever been to. A sign on the door says walk ins welcome. There were five stylists in the salon today. None of them acknowledged my existence or asked me whether I had an appointment, conveyed how much time I had to wait if I did. Even when others came in which happened twice and promptly took a seat to get their hair cut, the stylists had to look in my general direction and still did not acknowledge me. I left after 25 minutes with not even so much as a "Hi." Beware a sign on their counter says their prices have just gone up to...for what I'm not sure because its clearly not for their service.

Melinda was awesome! I needed a color touch up, knew the color I wanted, and to make sure of my color choice, she showed me samples first. Good thing, because I didn't realize the different shades. She had it blended into my old color. It looks fantastic!! She cut my hair exactly how I asked. And, she was a real joy to talk to. Very sweet. I will be back and I'll bring my boyfriend, too. I have been working with Erika for many years. She is kind and professional and does both my hair and my sons. Prices are reasonable, results are fantastic, and location is convenient. Will not be going anywhere but here for the foreseeable future.

Vanessa is an absolute gem! Inside and out beautiful stylist who listens & truly cares about what her client wants. She’s never too proud to watch videos you bring in of other stylist to learn a new technique. Vanessa is willing to consult with you on why a certain trending style might not turn out the same for you due to your hair texture, health, etc. Which, honestly, I think is what all women seek in a trusted stylist. Someone to guide you towards a cut and style that will make you look your absolute best. 10/10 in all aspects of her business

1 star only because it's required to review.But save yourself time and trouble. The owner is an absolute narcissistic chip on her shoulder unprofessional RUDE Nasty human being! Verbally assaulted me & told me to go "elsewhere" just because I was asking basic questions.Challenged me "GO ahead! "on writing review. She will take your $$$! Erika Lied on pricing.Owner sketchy acts like a tweeker. Any PROFESSIONAL SALON will give you at least a rough estimate of what you will pay.Something really wrong when they say they cant.Red flag! Im sure she will respond to this review with some Lies.Should not even be in business, with that mouth & attitude. Totally unethical! Much better & professional salons I WILL GO TO! So should you. She may appear to b nice in the beginning. BUYER BEWARE

Jennie did a great work cutting and styling my hair. She followed exactly the examples I showed and was efficient. Also, if you like peace and don’t enjoy chit chat (like me) she is a great match. The salon is simple and the team friendly.

This salon needs to work on the ability for customers to book proper and exact appointments online. I wanted a dry cut and I selected the closest option available so that I could secure an appointment. When I got to the appointment, it was only for a bang trim and they had no time to cut my hair. After packing up a kid and driving to your salon, you should have accommodated or at least tried to work with the misunderstanding. This is poor customer service. No, I'm not entitled to be served, but normally a rebooking would have taken place and an apology.

Erika is amazing! After moving to San Diego I was looking for a hairstylist that would take really good care of my hair and my color. I've seen Erika a few times now and each visit was amazing! She does everything she can to accommodate client schedules and gives 100% of her effort and attention when she's working on your hair. 10/10 would recommend booking with her!

I have a severe autoimmune disorder and cancer. My body shuts down and causes me to be hospitalized . I was told I can no longer book an appointment without paying ahead of time due to one cancellation last minute. I had been told I cancelled last minute for the last appointments I had but in reality that wasn’t the case. I read through the texts I had with my stylist and I did cancel 6 hours prior as I was in the hospital but they had told me I cancelled last minute multiple times even though I have proof I cancelled with weeks notice due to 1. Having COVID and not wanting to bring that into the salon and 2. Being hospitalized. Craft and Color do such amazing work I wish they were more sensitive and upfront about the situation as I never was told it was a concern just told I will no longer be able to book with them unless I prepay and if I were to get hospitalized again I wouldn’t receive that back. If you’re nice and healthy and don’t have anything that could pop up as an emergency then book away but keep in mind you will get told you have to prepay. Again amazing work and super sweet stylist but the sting of being told I’m no longer trusted to make an appointment due to my cancer after 2 years (we’ve only lived here for that long) of going.

I went to this salon as a reference of someone. Erika did my hair. I wanted to be lightened to platinum blonde and as I needed a haircut, I decided to go a bit shorter. I asked for my hair to be cut no shorter than where the neck meets the shoulder with layers and face frame. My hair 3 different colors and has no shape. I was there for 4 hours. While my hair was "compromised" (per the owner's words), my hair should still not be 3 different colors. I spoke to the salon and all I received was an apology and that my hair was compromised again. I do not recommend them as I am the one who has to walk around like this. If someone would have done this to one of their hair, they would be as livid and embarrassed. You admit your mistake that you should have turned me away with what you say was damaged hair but wont refund me the $130 for making my hair look worse? My hair looked better and healthier before you greedily took my money to further damage my hair! You owe me a refund!!!

This review is for Jazmine. I went in for root touch up. I have naturally black hair and have paid a lot of money to get it to a light silver/grey color. The stylist i usually go to was not able to do my hair for my bday weekend so i looked around and asked Jazmine if she was able to do my hair. She told me she was able to do it so i went in and she left me with yellow roots she didnt bleach my hair light enough to get the silver/grey color to match the rest of my hair. She told me she had other clients and that she didnt have time to fix my hair that i could go in the following week. I was frustrated but needed my hair done for my bday so i went in the following week hoping she would fix my hair. The second time she did my hair it looked okay there was still a faint yellow band i could see but whatever i had to just live with it she said she couldnt go any lighter. I paid her 240 for service i was not satisfied with. I had found my hair was falling out when i would shower and brush it. I made an appt with my usual hair stylist and turns out Jazmine had overprocessed my hair. My hair was so damaged it broke off. I asked Jamine for refund she only refunded me half of my money. I keep asking her to refund me and she ignores me! Ladies if you have dark hair and want to go light i would not recommend Jazmine. I added photos so you can see for yourself.

Had a great experience getting root color with Jennie B. This is the third salon I’ve gone to since moving to San Diego from NYC and the first to protect my hairline from color bleeding. Jenny did a great job matching the color. Will definitely go back!

I went to the salon and requested to get my hair colored the way that they had colored another’s hair in the picture. I showed the lady a picture of the color and requested it to be done the same exact way. When she did it, all she did was a highlight, and with as dark as my hair is, she did an almost grey highlight. I didn’t like it at all and so after a couple days I requested to get a color correction. She got back to me right away, and which was awesome, but after I requested the days for the color correction, it took her 3 days to get back to me. Once she stopped messaging me back, I found another salon that did my hair the way I requested the first time. Attached are the messages.
