If you have curly hair I think you can do a lot better. My experience was the specialist was very inexperienced, I had a style I never asked for and it was uneven.

I’ve been seeing Heather almost a year now and she has NEVER missed a beat with my nails. She’s very professional and knowledgeable about her craft. I always leave so happy; she is such a joy to be around and chat with in the chair. I could not recommend her enough. Her talent speaks for itself!

*RESPONSE IS BELOW* Owner, Traci, cares more about pocketing a few extra bucks than about her customers satisfaction. Had the worst blowout I’ve ever received, I called and left a message the same day that I explained in detail what I wanted and was disappointed and unhappy with my service and would like a refund. Now all of the sudden they “don’t allow refunds” when that was never stated in person, written anywhere while checking out, or on their website. Go anywhere else, not worth the money. Response to owner: I was not asked if I liked my hair when I left. I left a tip for the young stylist unknowing the hair would lose all style not even 2 hours after being finished. It was a poorly done service and if that’s how you allow your stylist to work I wouldn’t waste my time to return for another bad blow out service. I was unhappy with the work which is why I called and immediately left a message stating so. I will be telling every one I know about the slimy and disgusting way you run a business. I hope my 80 bucks gets you real far, you clearly need it more than I do.

I have been a client for years, and every appointment I am met with truly individualized care and always love the final results! It is a fun, supportive, community vibe and I totally recommend!

Crazy Combs= top shelf style with none of the attitude. Have you ever gone to one of those salons that brands itself as "luxe" with expensive services, over the top decor, and haughty staff? If that is It is challenging to write a review for a salon with multiple stylists, since one's experience is typically limited to one or two. Even so, there are several things about this salon that warrant my recommendation. To start, I really like the vibe of this salon. It is upscale, metropolitan, relaxed, and approachable all at the same time. The owner's very laid back St. Bernard, Orson, is the official salon greeter. The owner is a warm, talented, down to earth artist who attracts stylists that are equally grounded. There is not much turnover here. The salon offers top shelf products In addition to all the standard things one expects as a guest at a boutique hair salon, Crazy Combs also has a lending library on site that customers are invited to take advantage of. You can keep the books you take, bring them back whenever you finish, or donate books of your own. I have two of these books, myself, right now. A gracious old renovated house serves as an ideal location for the salon, and it has a wonderful back porch that staff and customers enjoy in moments of down time. For these reasons and more, I really enjoy going to Crazy Combs. If you are looking for a new stylist, I think this place is worth your consideration. The staff really takes the time to get to know you, and you are sure to feel right at home. I recommended giving them a call and talking over what you need.

Traci Farmer, the owner of Crazy Combs Salon, is a fantastic stylist! She has in -depth knowledge of color and fixing coloring mistakes. She can also create any style to fit you desires and personality. All of the stylist at the salon are professional and knowledgeable. The salon is a welcoming and fun place to get your service. I highly recommend Crazy Combs Salon!

That is a great place. I’ve been going here for a few years now since my stylist, Jennifer, joined. It’s a really nice place, very comfortable. Tracy, the owner, is a fixture of downtown and is really friendly and seems to run a great place. I’ve been going to Jen for over a decade since I got my long hair chopped off. I’m glad she landed here. She gives a great scalp massage and has always kept me looking sharp.

Matt did a great job of taking care of me and my hair. He takes his time and makes sure you are getting what you need! The sanitation in the place is amazing. They truly are doing all that they can to prevent any Covid spreading... plus the St. Bernard puppy is 150 lbs of adorable!

Crazy Combs Salon epitomizes Downtown Raleigh. It is welcoming, cool and comfortable. The shop dog, Walter, greets customers with a lazy tail wag, from his slumber spot on the beautifully aged hardwood floors. The skilled and knowledgeable staff make every customer feel like they are just stopping by to have a cup of coffee with a friend - and getting the best haircut of your life somehow becomes an afterthought.
