Established in March of 2011, Crimson Hair Studio is dedicated to providing a unique salon experience for each client. Our experienced stylists are experts at precision cutting, fashion coloring, formal styling and other techniques that help clients look their best. Our goal is to give you the exact look you need to express your confidence and personality. Crimson Hair Studio, located in the picturesque Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, is open Tuesday to Saturday for the convenience of clients. I knew when I was booking my appointment it would be necessary for it to be over two days. Em not only made time for me on short notice, but she was able to book me back-to-back, at the end of the workday, to accommodate my work schedule. She completed the install of my extensions this evening and did a fantastic job. She took time to make sure I was happy with the final color, length, and thickness. I always trust Em with my hair, but this has been my first go with extensions and I could not be happier. I would highly recommend speaking with Em if this has been something you have ever considered. The salon assistants and the front desk were friendly as always.

Jen, the owner, always cuts my hair. She was booked for several weeks but had a cancellation and fit me in. She does beautiful work. And the receptionist, Ryan, went above and beyond to set up the appt for me. It's a beautiful and welcoming salon.

Jen was so welcoming and down to earth on my first visit. She made sure she understood what I wanted done with my hair and made me very comfortable! I love how it came out and will definitely go back! The studio itself is so cute and homey, it has its own vibe to it and stands apart from your typical hair studio in the best way.

Emily is the best stylist in the whole wide world!!!! (She is my niece so I may be a bit biased, but she still is the bestest!!) Emily listens to me when I explain what I want, and she then improves on it and transforms me!! We love Em to pieces 💜💚💙

For someone who lives in cowboy boots and mud, getting my hair done for a special event is way out of my comfort zone but Francesca made it a breeze. Ryan at the desk helped me with some questions over the phone before my appointment and was such a pleasure to speak with, I felt like I was really cared about here. My hair was done stunningly with good conversation and company. I managed to even sleep with it and rock it another day. Thank yall so much for the hospitality.

Maria has given me both a curly cut and a straight cut with bangs, and she's equally talented at both. I want people to know how rare that is lol. And, I had a wash, cut, and styled blowdry for $80, which is a bargain for good haircuts. And! They have complimentary bangs trims between regular cuts, which other places don't do. I love it here!

Danielle is amazing, probably a wizard! She's an expert in her craft, I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted but described my ideas, she took the reigns and I ended up with hair better than I could even dream of. Everyone at the salon is welcoming and friendly, clean and the vibes are great!

Everything about Crimson is amazing. With Ryan working the desk (also a dream to get shampooed by), and Buddy the master stylist (who has been doing my hair for over 25 years) there is really nowhere else I would want to go to get my hair done. All of the staff is super talented, friendly, and the vibe is just perfect!

Perfect color, super friendly and authentically welcoming, diverse stylists and clientele, amazing blow-out - after I left a total stranger stopped me on the street and told me my hair looked great (and no, that’s not an everyday occurrence for me - or even an EVER occurrence…) I feel like my chronic last minute hair scheduling allowed me to find a Philly gem I might not have otherwise - both the salon as a whole and specifically Darcell, who in addition to being incredibly talented can offer excellent media/book recommendations - this place is a little bit hidden upstairs, but it’s worth finding your way. Bonus: next door to Kismet Bagels, so you can stop in there before or after. :-)

Jay gives the best cuts! I followed her from another studio and I’m so happy I did. Wonderful at what she does and a wonderful person! The studio itself has a great vibe — super friendly and happy. They even do kids cuts!
