I'm so happy to have finally found a salon that went above & beyond !! I'm so thankful for the effort they put into making sure I got exactly what I wanted. It's hard to find people willing to help. Terrible experience. Made an appointment days ahead of time. Drive a hour to get there sat and waited a hour for them to finally look at my 6yo hair and say the wait would be very long and we could come back or reschedule. Then wanted $85 for a blowout. So unprofessional and inconsiderate. They claimed a stylest got sick but they could’ve told us when we walked in instead of making us wait a hour. I think they didn’t want to deal with her hair type. Would never go back.

I love going to her salon! I've been going there since I was little and she is always so kind and her hair treatments are very helpful. Since I'll be moving to another state, I'll have to find someone who can do my 4C hair just as well as she can, but I truly don't think I'll find one. I might fly in just to get my hair done from her again. I love her services so much and I definitely recommend her salon.

The first time I went to this salon I was scared because of some of the reviews but I am sooooo glad I walked in and will never leave. This is my experience: When I went to Cris Mari hair salon my hair was broken, falling out, had a million colors from previous salons etc., I was acostumed to hair relaxer. When Maria saw my hair she recommended to switch from relaxer to Keratin, I told her that I had it done before at Another place and I did not like the result I also told her that I had paid a lot of money at Another salon and at the moment could not afford it. Maria explained to me the process which was not the same I had gone thru before and gave me pricing and stated "it will be the best thing to do for your hair" and by God yes it was. My hair from that point on changed, it got strong and healthy, it grows like crazy, I love her deep conditioning treatments. The best thing I ever did. I have been going thru medical treatments that normally would cause my hair to fall out 100% but thanks to the care I receive at Cris Mary hair salon, I still have my hair on my head and it's beautiful and strong. I must point out something about previous reviews: 1st this salon is naturaly Dominican and what you see is what you expect from a true Dominican business, go to a Dominican barbershop and you will see or even a store or restaurant, we love it, it brings back memories of when one lived in D.R. 2nd I have seen people here complain about the salon yet I recognize them from visits at the salon. So why complain if you keep going back it must not be that bad, maybe address what bothers you with the owner instead of airing out something that can be fixed with a simple talk. 3rd Cris Mary hair salon has soooooo many clients, I have heard of some that come from out of state, out County and even from other cities to get their hair done there, that speaks loud of a business. 4th I feel their prices are very fair considering what others charge with a unpersonalized service, and I know this for a fact due personal experiences. 5th when I go out to the salon I don't go in a hurry it's supouse to be Me time so I'm not in a rush and that's how you relax, I understand some people may like quiet but for that you need to go to a different type of place. I have never been to a quiet hair salon. 6th some people feel that the replies of the owner are rude, I could not sleep so when I went online to make my appt for today, I read All the reviews good and bad and it's funny because, some people still go to Cris Mary despite saying all the bad things they said, the answers of the owner are not rude (you can't call rude when you are plolite called out or when confronted with the truth), and yes the place is not quiet but hey I look forward to that, it entertaining and sometimes when I am there I become part of the conversation 😊. There is always room for improvement at 100% all of the business in the world, but Cris Mary hair salon is my home, they take good care of me even thru my sickness and treatment, the are very accommodating, if they feel something will hurt your hair they will not do it and I respect that because it shows they care. They know my name but they may call me sweetie or love or peli roja or anything else but I like that. Sometimes they come across as rude because they are pretty straight foward and I like that, I prefer the truth and honesty if it helps me over what I want to hear if it hurts me. I going today for my maintenance wash after 3 hard weeks of medical treatment😊

As someone who is very particular about their hairstyle and cautious about letting anyone touch my hair, I must admit that everyone at this salon does an absolutely amazing job. From the mother to the daughter, even the blow dryer ladies and the wash lady, everyone is skilled and attentive. I truly enjoy my time at the salon and highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a good natural hairstylist or a perfect blow dry with soft curls, or even a sew in or micro-links. The expertise and service of both the mother and daughter is exceptional.

Visited this salon for my first time today for a Dominican blowout, deep conditioning and a hair trim. The service was fast and I loved the results. The price was also affordable. There was also a great amount of teamwork amongst the staff. I will surely be visiting this salon again! Thank you.

I love Cris Mari Dominican Hair Salon!. These guys are the real deal! They do beautiful work. They are Professionally Trained, They are Real, They are Caring, They Genuine and yes They are loud. Most Latins, Italians and Europeans are. This is what makes it great, it makes the time spent on your hair feel like its going faster. I Love this place and the people that work here. I have been coming here for 7 years. I am originally from New York and would come here while taking care of my parents and visiting my sister. I have had my hair colored, cut, I've had the my hair Botox done here multiple times. (all at during different years of course). They help repair my botched hair job from another location. And restored my hair to go health. They listen to what you want, are receptive to what you don't want and mostly will not hesitate to tell what you should consider doing. And its not for their benefit but for your hairs. I travel over and hour to get my hair done here. Coming to Cris Mari is like being home. It is like being in your living room with your family. They have alway taken me as a walk in, when I call same day and when I planned ahead and actually made an appointment. There prices are right on par with other locations. Thank you Cris Mari, You are the Best!

I moved Westchase 4 months ago and couldn't find a good salon until I found Cris Mari. She is such a welcoming person. She evaluated my hair and recommended a color which I love. I also did botox treatment and in love with the results. Can't wait to go back!

I was told my daughter needed a Botox treatment but I opted out of getting that. I feel like my daughter’s hair was a rushed job and I spent $55 dollars. I feel like it was not worth it. It’s so frustrating when you spend your money to get a poor job in return.

I went to the salon hopeful due to a friend’s recommendation. However, the experience was awful. I had an appointment, but they made me wait for at least a couple of hours. While waiting, I overheard the owner and her daughters talk negatively about clients after the clients had stepped out. They are all extremely loud and crass. The waiting area is uncomfortable and the salon lacks cleanliness. This should have convinced me enough to leave, but since my friend had recommended the services I hesitantly stayed. The owner was running late so I suspect she used a high volume activator to my highlights as my scalp starting burning a few minutes into the application on the area near my neck. She had to wash me right away and that’s when I noticed my hair had broken off at halfway the length in this area. Thankfully it’s not noticeable as it’s a small area and I insisted they wash my hair immediately but I’ve been highlighting my hair for about 30 years and had never had this happened. I understand people make mistakes and accidents happen, but the owner’s attitude toward the whole situation was awful, unprofessional, vulgar, and offensive. Considering my friend’s previous experience I think this salon is a hit or miss. So if you like to gamble with your hair, go for it. What’s definitely guaranteed is noise, gossip, and lack of prompt service as that is always the case as expressed by my friend.

She did my keratin & her helper burn my scalp real bad that I had to cut half of my hair off. It’s was so sad that a place this professional could have done that. I told her about and I went back and got my money back. This place is awful !!

This is mediocre salon, I’ve been to plenty of Dominican salons and I know a good Dominican brow dry tactic. Here they blow dry fast and let the straightener do all the work. They should consider putting having people that have a passion for the job.

BEWARE OF THIS SALON IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR! I came in for a keratin treatment and I made it very clear to both Christina and Maria that I have kinky curly hair and I would very much like to keep it that way after washing out my blowout. I was simply getting the treatment to minimize frizz and make my hair more manageable and they said that they could do that for me. Christina did my hair and I don't know if she forgot or just made a mistake but after shampooing my hair after a week of keeping it blown out MY CURLS WERE GONE. As you can see from the before image, I had type 4 hair that was full and curly prior to coming in )That photo was taken DAYS before going to them). I may have had a little breakage but I didn't have any heat damage. I usually get keratin treatments every 6 months but on this occasion, I actually hadn't had one in 9 months so it was completely worn off. Usually when I get my keratin treatments, my hair goes right back to being curly again. If anything, my curls may be slightly loser for a little and I would've been okay with that but no...they were gone. They told me to wait 3 months for my hair to get curly again but it’s been 6 months and my hair is still straight. Plus it’s all falling out in clumps. So now after 3 years of growing my hair out natural, sadly, I will be chopping all my hair off and starting fresh.

Every time I receive great service. I get botox every 4 to 5 months, as well as color ,haircuts and blowout. Service is professional and they have great hair products and hair colors to choose from. You will not be disappointed.

Great salon atmosphere great women having wonderful conversation and laughs, additionally the service provided was amazingly efficient for a busy Saturday morning all stylist worked together so I was constantly receiving service. My hair came out beautiful and Maria was very tentative in asking me just how loose I would like my curl pattern before beginning. I would highly recommend this salon for your hair care needs. As many women receive so many diverse styles and all looked amazing. I did the Keratin Express treatment and overall very pleased and will return.Also note pricing depends on your hair type thickness length etc. so please be mindful it may not be a set price.

They always done a beautiful job with my hair .It just maybe it the fourth time of going I didn't feel so good going she mentioned she was going to trim my hair but then she didn't after she straighten I felt rush out and then she was getting loud cause I ask her nicely to see if there a chance she can blow dry my bangs.I just left feeling there not so good inside plus not so good to come back.n I just refer n told a coworker of mine good stuff about them now I regret it
