I can't express enough how much I love this place! Katie is an incredibly talented stylist who takes the time to ensure my hair is perfect, but doesn't drag it out forever - she's a true hair wizard! The atmosphere is great, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I had the pleasure of talking with Laura as well, and she was just as awesome. Almost forgot - the pricing is insanely competitive. I promise you won’t find a salon in Phoenix that is this affordable with this much talent. I am beyond happy with my hair and won't be going anywhere else!

Really sad to say I was looking forward to trying the new place out but when I went in I couldn't have felt less welcome. No hello how are you just a blank look like why are you interrupting... I asked for Information but didn't get any useful info or warmth at all. Melrose is my home and I like to feel we're a pretty friendly community but this place was anything but friendly to me. Disappointing

Best place to get a cut in the valley. I'll preface this by saying that I've been seeing Mike at CULT since 2018, and have never even thought of using a new stylist, even moving as far as Gilbert. The aesthetic of the studio is clean and beautiful, and Mike is always welcoming and comforting. In 2018 I came to Mike to give me a style I thought unobtainable for what hair I had left (thinning male). I had my first Tinder date that night and took a leap of faith with a new stylist. Now in 2024 I'm marrying that person, and I don't want to say it's because of Mike's work...but I'm not ruling it out. Thank you Mike for your passion and to CULT for fostering creativity.

I really wanted to try them out after reading the great reviews but after having a 3:45 pm appointment with Laura Stout, and leaving after waiting until 4:30 pm for her to finish with her previous client this might not be the place for me. The staff was super nice and making the appointment itself was pretty painless. Maybe they were just having an off day.

My experience at Cult Hair Studio was amazing! I had a 2pm appointment with Laura S. She cheerfully greeted me and made me feel right at home. We talked about my hair goals and I could tell how knowledgeable she was immediately, I instantly trusted her with my hair. The whole process from greeting until walking out the door was incredible. I’m obsessed with my hair cut and she took the cutest picture at the end! 💕 Easily my favorite salon in Phx, and I plan to see Laura every time!!

Cult's new location is beautiful and it was lovely to see everyone back in action! I had my hair styled today by Hector who has been doing fantastic work for me the last couple years. I highly recommend him. It was great to be back and looking forward to many future returns. If you havn't tried it and are curious check it out. Cult has a very comfortable atmosphere, unique vibe, and is not afraid to be different.

I would have given this place 5 stars, because Zaya was a wonderful hair stylist, but towards the end, someone came in (I believe his boss?) And he was drunk and we were all a little uncomfortable after that. Never had that happen at a hair salon before. Not very professional. But Zaya was awesome, he took the time to understand what I wanted and made my boring straight hair have more definition and character. You can tell he truly cares about his clients!

Been coming to see Sierra Scott for about a year! She always gets me looking fabulous & fresh! I have naturally black hair & she can safely get me to ashy blondes with minimal stress. Cult is esthetically pleasing - definitely a vibe. Lgbtq friendly too!

Cut was ok but I didn't get what I wanted. The stylist was in a rush to leave and wasn't interested in having any in-depth conversation. I won't be back.

It's one thing to make a mistake but it's another to ghost and avoid a customer who would like to have it rectified, and approached the situation nicely and politely-not acting like a Karen. I understand people have off days and that's life, but refusing to answer a customer's texts after agreeing to fix a cut (that the stylist agreed himself needs to be fixed) is unacceptable. This isn't modern dating, it's business, and people don't want to throw away their money. Grow up! I have to deal with this uneven cut every day until it grows out!

Stylist Sierra cut my hair exactly the way I wanted so it would dry well with minimal styling and upkeep. She also incorporates a little head massage while shampooing that is very relaxing. The salon itself is very kitschy and cool inside. 10/10 recommend!

When in life you have a crisis you get a hair cut, am I right? So I found Cult and booked with the stylist Zaya, I've had him do my hair at a previous studio and he is AMAZING! Absolutely in love with my hair cut, didn't even get out the door before a woman asked to take a few photos of the cut because she loved it. This was a much needed boost of confidence! I also really loved the vibe of the studio it was a classy goth chic.

Zaya is a fantastic colorist and stylist! He skillfully transformed my dark brown hair to the whitest of silver. He always leaves me feeling beautiful, and his head massage skills are awesome.

Zaya started my hair coloring journey earlier this year and he has nailed it! This was my third session with him, but first time at this location. The vibe of this place is awesome. And Zaya is a rockstar! His scalp massage will instantly relax you. As a colorist he really listened to what I wanted and even though my hair had been previously died with henna he rose to the challenge. I Highly recommend him for your hair coloring and styling needs.

I have been seeing Katie to do my hair for 4 years straight now. However I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this beautiful soul for 15 years! In the 4 years she has done just about everything to my hair, extensions, beautiful vivid colors, hair for events, she even took my hair from jet black to an ashy blonde. When I wanted to go blonde I had so many colors under the jet black she explained to me that this wasn’t going to be an easy process and it would be a long process in order to keep my hair as healthy as possible while going blonde. With her expertise and vast knowledge we were able to have me blonde in a year and there was minimal breakage but best of all there was not one portion of my hair that was fried! Katie is the best there is, I always love coming to see her. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair! I recommend her to everyone and anyone.

Katie is seriously the best hair dresser. She has been doing my hair and sons haircuts 10+ years. Her attention to detail is unlike others. The girl is amazing at color! Prices are very reasonable.
