So happy to have found Arlene and Culture Hair Studio. Though she didn’t do my install and I was WAY overdue for a retie, she fixed me up like new. I really appreciate her patience and professionalism. The space is clean and comfortable. Looking forward to my next appointment.

I would just like to express my happiness of joining the sister locs sisterhood. My hair was done by Petra and came out Beautifully :). Petra was super patience with me because man oh man I had a lot going on and it took more than a month to keep my bookings with her. And not for one second did she show me any annoyance, thanks. I would also like to express how passionate and welcoming Arlene was towards me and how well both ladies worked well with each other. Thanks for being so nice and professional!

Just had my hair retied by Petra. She’s super talented, very knowledgeable super easygoing and friendly. It’s too late she’s won’t be able to get rid of me now. The salon is so nice. Love it there. Thanku for taking care of me Petra. Your patience and skill are second to none.

I came to Culture Hair Stuidio with concerns about my locs that I started myself. I started with two strand twist and they were a few months old. Due to work commitments I would not be able to care for my hair as much in the coming months and needed a new approach to my locs. After my consultation we agreed on a new plan and a few weeks later I came in to get a new set of locs installed through the interlocking method by Ms.Arlene! Those crazy interlocking stories you hear about did not apply here!!! I slept well that night. The locs felt secure but not painful. It was a great experience. Ms. Arlene was very attentive to my needs, particularly my sensitive scalp! She took her time and ensured I was comfortable. I was aware of all my options every step of the way. We stopped at one point and I went to get lunch. There was no rush at all which is a plus! The space is beautiful, soothing ambience. Very calming,relaxing energy. Feels like a mini spa getaway 😌 Worth every penny. Definitely recommend 👌

My first time visiting Culture Hair Studio was back in Nov of 2019. Arlene was in the middle of interlocking a clients hair and it was so random but something in me wanted to walk in and see if she can sisterlock my hair. Arlene was so sweet and kind. We spoke for some time and scheduled me in for the consultation the week after. She explained EVERYTHING to me: my hair texture, length, size, and optional available. She worked with my tedious and stressful schedule and arrange time for the establishment.... hours before my flight to Jamaica! She is so detail and caring to my hair... if that make sense. She is the beat in NYC I don’t care what people say. Over a year and a half later my hair look AMAZING and I love it! Thank you Arlene! No one can’t replace you.... I learned it the hard way but I’m so happy that you are not only my hairstylist.
