Becca is absolutely amazing. She does my daughter’s hair as well as mine. While in her chair you can sense that she is truly passionate at what she does. She is very meticulous and is a perfectionist, which I love. Curate is also an amazing vibe. The place is always clean and welcoming. I definitely recommend coming here for your hair needs - every stylist that is in here does great work.

For years, Curate Salon has been my go-to spot for hair care, and every visit has been nothing short of exceptional. The experience is so rejuvenating that I often leave feeling refreshed and pampered. Annie Sanchez has been my stylist, and her work speaks for itself. I've referred numerous friends to her, all of whom have become loyal fans. The compliments I receive after each appointment are a testament to her skill and expertise. Curate Salon is a bright beautiful, open space unlike many salons in the area. All women owned and operated! The owner of the salon space, Christina, has an eye for detail and everything in the salon is curated to perfection. I have been getting my hair done by her for years and she is the sweetest! Friendly (and stylish) stylists/staff will make your experience that much better. You may even leave with a new piece from Contravan or a cute new beach accessory. One stop shop for all of your hot girl summer needs. Highly recommend!!

Curate is an amazing salon with really cute decor and friendly stylists. It’s always super clean! I’ve been getting my hair done by Melissa since 2020 and she is the absolute best! She takes her time to really listen to any concerns about my hair and my hair always turns out beyond what I expected! Throughout highlighting, my hair has remained very healthy and has grown so much. I always enjoy coming to Melissa she has a very down to earth personality and makes anyone feel comfortable!

Incredible is an understatement! Donna is extremely talented, detail oriented, and thoughtful. She is truly a professional at blonde hair and knows how to make you look and feel beautiful. Over the last week since my appointment, I continue to notice how gorgeous the color is, how flattering the cut, and overall how healthy my hair looks. My friends and family keep expressing how much they love it too. I can’t recommend Donna enough!

Curate Salon is not only aesthetically pleasing with neutral tones and natural light with their large door that they open when the weather is nice, but the ladies who work here are kind and respectful. Amanda is my favorite stylist. She has been coloring my hair for years now. You will not be disappointed with any of the stylists here!

Donna, at Curate Salon, does the best blonde! She is very professional, gets you in and out, and most importantly, gives you the freshest blonde! I am really picky with the tones in my hair but Donna delivers. She's also so sweet and kind that I look forward to my Curate Salon visits. The salon itself is clean, bright and modern. I always do some shopping at the Contravan selection on display too! I could go on and on. Anyway, if you're looking for a stylist in Virginia Beach, you should try Donna. She's worth waiting for!

I asked for a 2in trim and instead received 8in chopped off in an extremely blunt cut. It's all uneven and choppy so now I have to cut it again to fix it. The stylist was extremely nice and refunded my money, I just think she's not great at cuts. I'm pretty devastated to say the least.

I came in today feeling drab I’ve had the same hairdresser for years I finally was able to go in a different direction after looking at Donnas work (hairbyMadonna) for a while I decided to go with her. She truly did a hair transformation she was very attentive to what I wanted! Can’t wait to comeback in March! I have never felt better with my hair! Thank you so much!

I’ve been going to Donna for a couple years now and we’ve done everything from balayage to black and back. She is incredibly talented, very professional and the absolute sweetest. Not to mention, she is the first hairdresser to ever have me in and out in under 3 hours (I used to spend upwards of 5 hours at the salon) even though I’d happily stay all day at curate! Her assistant Ashley is also the best! The salon itself is so cute, clean and everyone is super friendly and courteous. Plus, I always love to check out the new Contravan stock!

Most reviews are written because a person either had a wonderful experience or a horrible one. I am writing a review because I feel this salon, and particularly Becca, are deserving of a review. Becca is not only EXCELLENT at her professional craft but is also a great person (which lets be honest, that is hard to find these days.) I came to her with hair that I did not even particularly like and left with hair I LOVE already (mind you all coloring experiences are a process). I showed her a few photos and she loved them for me as much as I did. That being said I do honestly believe if she did not think they were a good idea she would have politely told me so. It was my first time at the salon and with Becca and they made me feel so great (inside and out). The second we were going to get started a personal matter came up and Becca did not even hesitate to work with me to make it all work out. She made me feel more than just some client on her books that she was looking to “move along” to jump to the next and she barely even knew me yet. I entered the salon unsure if this was the salon and/or hairstylist for me and left the salon feeling and looking AMAZING. I am certain that Becca is the hairstylist for me. I would highly recommend her. She has a coloring talent and is also just a good person.

Wow! First time in years I’ve left the salon and wasn’t disappointed. My hair looks amazing and feels great. Hairbymadonna was amazing and so was her assistant, I believe her name was Ashley. I feel pretty again.

Curate Salon is the cleanest, best decorated and well-respected hair salon I've been to in VA Beach. The owner Christina has done a great job at bringing her vision to life and running a successful business, even during this challenging year with Covid-19 limitations. They employ stylists from all walks of life who are all talented in different ways. Curate offers a wide array of hair care services, and even sell clothing and other goods from other local women-owned businesses. I highly recommend this salon for your 'curated' hair needs and wants!

One of the best in VB! Christina is the ultimate professional and the quality of the entire salon is consistently unbeatable. You want a salon filled with good vibes and amazing talent?? This is it!!! The decor and friendly staff just add to the overall experience. You can tell the owner and all of her staff really love what they do, and take pride in their work. I've been to several stylists over the years and just couldn't find the perfect fit....but I have finally found a "forever salon"!! Everything about Curate is perfection!
