I came to Maxine with a head full of heat damaged hair. She was truly professional and an expert in her craft. I left feeling beautiful and my tresses were thriving after just one appointment. It's not hard to see why she's highly sought after. I definitely would recommend her and her beautiful salon. 10 outta 10.

I had the most wonderful experience at Curly Dimension Salon. Maxine was very engaging and knowledgeable about her craft. She shared a lot of information about the health of my hair and how to eat healthy. Her salon is very cutesy, calm and welcoming.My hair feels moisturized and well cared for. I am a baby natural who transitioned for 1.5 years before my big chop in September 2023. I had only straightened my hair once, and it didn’t go well, so I was scared of heat damage. Maxine has done my hair twice, and my curls are flourishing! During my silk press, she made me feel at ease and chose a perfect color that complemented my undertones. The second appointment left me in tears of joy—my hair looks amazing! Maxine truly listens to your hair goals, provides education on maintaining your hair, and encourages patience. I have never enjoyed my hair as much as I do now, thanks to her. Maxine is a Godsend and worth every dime!

I had my big chop by Maxine 3 weeks ago and the service was great and the end results was also great. I had booked a big chop with color, but she did not color my hair, I was not happy with having to walk around with so many greys, but I tolerated it. Upon exiting my visit that evening, Maxine informed me to hurry and book my next appointment for my color and curl, she did not inform me that I needed to go on the "Waitlist" because there are no available appointment for the entire year of 2024! Yes no appointments!! I made this discovery about a week after this visit. So I did go on the "Waitlist" for 2/28 and she never responded 24 hours before, on the day of, or even days after the waitlist. I shared this information because I wish someone, even Maxine had, shared this information with me.

This is my first experience sitting in a Curly Dimensions chair . And Honey, let me tell you ! THE EXPERIENCE and THE ATMOSPHERE was PHENOMENAL ! Maxine knows and loves her work . I was well educated on what to expect and about my hair . It is very hard to find a beautician who SPECIALIZED (and know about hair and what she's doing ) in natural hair and color . I decided to go natural and I searched for a salon that specialized in this area, which is how I found Maxine. I was nervous since my hair has been relaxed majority of my life. But Maxine has excellent reviews and now I see why. My hair looks amazing and it’s easy to maintain. Everyone loves it especially my husband and kids!!! I will definitely continue using her service. She understands what her clients need ( most importantly ) and caters to their desires.The salon is more like a hair spa..tranquil and peaceful. There is no one else I trust with my natural hair than Maxine. When I first started coming to her, I swore that my hair doesn’t grow. She assured me that if I trust the process, my hair would grow and get healthier. Many years later, I am proof that trusting the process works. She is a master colorist and stylist. She is the only one I’ve ever had color my hair and it still maintain it’s health and length. God bless her hands! Those magic hands have taken me from ear length hair to now mid shoulder length!

Words can’t describe my experience here. The young lady who washed my hair was great! We discussed my current products I was using and discussed my current hair condition. Gave some great tips as she was washing my hair :) Maxine (the owner) is super knowledgeable of natural hair. Just by looking at my hair she told me what vitamins I wasn’t using and recommended. Her salon is peaceful and very accommodating. I’ve found my new hairstylist and I am excited to for my hair journey with her. She is also an amazing human being. Worth every penny! Thank you!

Maxine is AMAZING! She definitely has a golden touch. I am very sensitive when it comes to who touches my hair, and it was my first time going to her. But she made me feel comfortable and explained everything as she did my hair. My curls came out soooo good and soft. Covid guidelines were strictly followed and the shop was very clean. (And she gives little snacks in between ☺️) Definitely recommend !

Maxine is a gem, polite, professional and on time. Her salon is spotless and she clearly loves doing hair and educating her clients. I “stalked” Maxine’s booking site for months until I finally got an appointment and I was not disappointed, she colored and styled my natural hair to perfection. I almost left her salon in tears, because since I’ve transitioned to natural hair no one was able to style my hair like Maxine did. She gave me the cut I always wanted and I can’t thank her enough.

This review is long overdue. I have been going to maxine now for the past 2 years. When I stared with maxine my hair was a tiny red afro now I have neck length blonde color curly hair. I never thought I can rock blonde hair with my dark skin tone but maxine informed me that it has to be the right color blonde. I trusted her and never been so satisfied. This was my first appointment at this salon and I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful decor. I was greeted warmly by owner and stylist Maxine. She was also very professional. She took her time to assess, wash and treat my hair. I got the “signature curls ” and it turned out beautiful. My curls look amazing! I will definitely be returning!

This was my first time at this salon and what a great experience. The salon is beautiful and clean. Maxine is very professional and knowledgeable about hair care needs. After talking with Maxine, I didn't feel nervous at all as this was first time here and I was about to do "the big chop". I left feeling beautiful. I'm definitely coming back. Loved my hair. By the way, social distancing and disinfecting standards were maintained in the salon for those of you who are concerned. I will definitely be returning for future services. Honestly, I did not know what to expect when I booked this appointment. When I got there, Maxine was very welcoming and professional and made me feel safe adhering to her COVID rules. So I came and patiently sat. The ambiance was very relaxing and uplifting to be honest. She chatted me a little. When it came to doing my hair. SHE KNEW MY HAIR. She knew what was wrong with it, the products I needed to STOP using in my hair because my hair was like a brillo pad and crunchy! She washed my hair, deep conditioned, trimmed, brought back my natural curls, and then sat under the dryer and my hair came out BOMB!!! Ya'll when I say my hair has NEVER been this moisturized and SOFT, I felt like a little girl going to her first day of school and admiring my hair. Maxine was patient with me, answered ALL of my burning questions about how to care for my hair, what to use and how to maintain. I said I'll write a real review and I wanted it to be authentic because I like truth. I did my hair on 10/22, today is 11/1 and my hair is STILL SOFT and I wore my hair as is (out) in the coldness of Halloween (it was very cold yesterday). I'm still feeling my hair like its still soft, I have NOT done anything to it that I used to see on Youtube University (I feel cheated and wasted a lot of money on that nonsense but you live and you learn (hard sometimes lol)). I'm loving that my hair is SOFT in week 2 and I am not exaggerating when I say I do not know the last time (has been years) that my hair was NOT dry the very next day after wash day, confident enough to wear my hair out in COLD weather, and sleep on my hair and just fluff out my hair. It was worth every penny and I like to save my coins, but this was worth every penny.
